17/02/2024: The food is undoubtedly good, even if I was expecting something more perhaps, for example with regards to my first course. However, the first courses were a little too small, especially some portions, not mine so much, and this is never a pleasure, on the contrary. Staff certainly not very friendly and helpful, especially the foreign girl; a little salty in some dishes. PS the polenta is very good

05/02/2024: We visited Scanno for the day last Saturday and stopped for lunch at the Porta. We booked an hour in advance, but being February we easily found a place, in other periods I don't know because the place is really small, but for this reason it is also welcoming and I also liked the interaction that Mrs. Bice (I think she is the owner) manages to create among the various customers by describing the traditional dishes they serve. There were two of us and we had two first courses, two second courses, a side dish, a dessert, water, beer and coffee, and we spent the right amount for a meal like this (€67). The menu is daily, changes according to seasonality and serves traditional dishes, for example we had the cazzinicchi with foie and some really good spaghetti alla guitar. Advised!

21/03/2024: We stopped on the way back from Rome to have lunch and even though it was already 2.30pm they welcomed us and served us with the utmost courtesy and helpfulness. We had lunch with a delicious starter and rich grilled meat....highly recommended

The cuisine is a true riot of local flavours, from fresh pasta to game dishes; everything is prepared with skill and passion. But what really struck me and my faithful four-legged friend was the friendliness towards animals. Not only are the dogs welcomed, but they are treated with respect and affection. In short, Il Guado della Valle is a place where courtesy and hospitality blend with a passion for good food and love for animals. Compliments! 🌟

30/03/2024: Questo ristorante è stato una piacevole scoperta. A partire dal personale molto giovanile e il titolare Francesco sono delle bravissime persone che si rendono a disposizione per tutto!! La.qualita del cibo è davvero ottima. Tutto fresco e genuino. Appena ritorneremo in zona di sicuro ci fermeremo a mangiare nuovamente al Guado!! Consigliatissimo!!!

29/03/2024: A very pleasant surprise. Special dishes (those that are difficult to replicate at home). Truly particular and compelling combinations of flavors with fresh and excellent products. I didn't try the meat this time but there is a grill that reveals high standards and the dishes we saw pass by... invite us to return. Very very satisfying indeed. Very honest price.

03/04/2024: Excellent inn in the center of the village. The place has tables only inside. It is advisable to book, especially during the busiest periods (Christmas and summer). The crumbled artichoke is exceptional, as is the meat. The staff is courteous and helpful

Dal momento in cui ho varcato la soglia, sono stato accolto con un servizio impeccabile e un'atmosfera super accogliente. Il menu ricco di prelibatezze, primi atomici, prendere le chitarre al tartufo un sapore unico, mi ha deliziato con sapori intensi e piatti perfettamente preparati. Ogni boccone era un'esplosione di gusto e la presentazione dei piatti era impeccabile. Il personale super cortese e attento ha reso il mio pranzo ancora più piacevole. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante a tutti gli amanti della buona forchetta, è un'esperienza che non deluderà le aspettative."

The staff is very friendly, kind and above all very knowledgeable and is very dedicated to the customer.. in our case they carefully illustrated all the courses to us, starting from the appetizers or arriving at the sweet.. truly a fantastic experience and one to be repeated.. Very high quality food.. We hope to return soon to this pearl of Ovindoli, a stone's throw from the central square..

16/03/2024: Restaurant in Ovindoli, really nice and characteristic. Excellent food, excellent service, prices a little higher than the average of others in town, but it's worth it all, for the quality, professionalism and courtesy of the staff. Absolutely worth trying.

30/01/2024: Very intimate and quiet internal room. There is also a terrace used in less cold periods. Low prices compared to average, the portions of the first course are satisfying and also very good. Friendly staff. Advised

24/03/2024: If you are looking for a place to enjoy genuine food, you are in the right place. Local with parking nearby and easy access without architectural barriers. We chose a bruschetta to satisfy our hunger and focused on the amazing first courses. Abundant portions, strictly handmade pasta and with superlative seasoning. A steak absolutely cannot be missed as well as the side dish (sautéed broccoli) and the divine dessert (tiramisu). See you soon!

23/03/2024: We ordered mezzemaniche with mushrooms, sausage and cream (11.00 euros per portion) without sausage and mushrooms. Good ghee kebabs and tiramisu. For two I paid 50 euros

17/03/2024: Food was good, not great. The antipasto board looked fancy but lacking pizzazz. Should have had more true italian selections. Lots of protein. The pear was incredible extremely flavorful. The ricotta was outstanding but the chips could have been avoided. We both had only the antipasto and it was plenty of food. The cheese selection could have had more variation including pecorino. The wine was great. The cafe lacked flavor, change brands. The bread delicious. Overall, good. Young kids as servers. There was lipstick on the glass of wine which I told her about and rather than bring a new glass, she through out the glass of wine. She could have put that in a new glass. Not very professional or detail oriented.

05/04/2024: You only pay the aesthetics for the beauty itself. But for the rest, eating etc... It's not worth it, there are better restaurants and pizzerias in the Marsica area.
