11/07/2026: Lovely spot for lunch before we went round the museum/gallery. Friendly service and outstanding food. Good wine list. We sat inside in air conditioned comfort but the patio was shaded and cooler too. Highly recommended.

07/07/2026: A definite recommendation! The tourist restaurants on Piazza Erbe are only 100 meters away, but Ristorante Maffei is worlds apart in terms of cuisine and plays in a different league! For example, we had the best vitello tonnato we've ever eaten. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back!

15/05/2026: Absolutely outstanding across the board. The service (we were late for our reservation and half an hour before the kitchen was closing and they still sat us without even a question). The food was out of this world. Best meal we've had in a long time and we used to live in Chicago, a food city. The service was above and beyond. They add extra touches to the meal that you don't order off the menu that round out the whole meal. The first dish is a salty shredded pork, never had anything like it. We didn't order dessert but they brought us a little something anyway. The wine recommendations were spot on and the waitresses food recommendations were delicious. The mashed potatoes and gnocchi I will dream about. Must try. We might even go back again tonight.

06/05/2026: We had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria I Masenini, and we can say without hesitation that it was a truly exceptional experience, one that stays with us forever and makes you want to talk about it right away. From the very beginning, you could sense great attention to detail and a genuine passion for cooking. The dishes were simply fantastic: not only delicious, but also elegantly and carefully presented, without ever being overbearing. Each course was a perfect balance of flavor, quality ingredients, and creativity, capable of surprising and satisfying. The wines deserve a special mention: we relied on their advice, and it was absolutely worth it. The pairings were sublime, expertly and sensitively crafted, and perfectly complemented each dish. Thanks to them, we also discovered Barolo Chimato from the Pio Cesare winery, a truly formidable wine that made the dinner even more special. The service was impeccable: attentive, professional, and at the same time warm, making guests feel at ease without ever being intrusive. The passion and dedication of the entire staff is clearly evident, contributing to the welcoming and refined atmosphere. In conclusion, it was a unique experience in every way: the quality of the food, the pairings, the service, and the atmosphere. A restaurant truly worth trying and one we recommend without hesitation. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

05/06/2026: Limited but delicious vegan menu. The cicchetti in particular are not vegan at all, but the vegan dishes they do have are great. The Meringue was amazing!

15/06/2026: A super interesting brewery tour in a rustic and laid-back setting. Kudos to Giorgia, who showed us around and explained how craft beer is made in a simple and precise manner. The beer samples were more than I expected (and I'd say excellent), along with the appetizers (which were practically the entire place). I highly recommend it. And thanks again, Giorgia, for making it a wonderful and somewhat original afternoon.

03/07/2026: A place in South Verona where you can enjoy delicious craft beers made on site. Guided tour of the brewery with explanations of how their beer is created. The brewmaster is excellent. Beer tasting followed by a burger. A small but cozy pub with friendly and attentive staff. In the evenings, you can also enjoy live music while sitting outside. I highly recommend it!

18/07/2026: It's like so often in Italy: you drive through fields, towns like everywhere else, industrial parks, and then, around the next bend, you arrive at a sensational place. This one, where Lo Stappo is located, is no longer a hidden gem. But it's definitely worth the trip. Lo Stappo is right in the heart of things, and you won't be disappointed with the food. If the two waiters who attended our table had had the same friendly charm as the host who welcomed us so warmly, it would easily have earned five stars.

08/07/2026: We spontaneously decided to go there as a couple. We arrived around 6:15 pm and still had our pick of tables. We were greeted with a complimentary bitters. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick. The food was delicious (spaghetti with seafood and salad), and watching the other diners at neighboring tables enjoy their meals made us want more ;-) We'd definitely go back.

11/02/2026: The "Real Madrid" of Ceremonies We discovered Corte Poli through word of mouth and can't thank enough whoever recommended it to us. The planning of our wedding began a year and a half before the happy event, and Andrea was with us until September 21st. The organization was impeccable, but above all, without any worries, which is a huge plus for those who have to balance menus, people, schedules, and... weather. We were almost certain that the menu would be appreciated; after all, that's what the rehearsal dinner was for. The service was impeccable: seamless, coordinated, professional, and friendly—in short, it was like the "Real Madrid" of ceremonies! If it were up to us, we'd do it again this Saturday!
