22/07/2026: I visited this beautiful lake-view restaurant with some friends. I'd like to say that despite its name, this place has nothing of the typical Venetian village osteria about it, but is more of a restaurant, and even a bit refined (the ambiance and presentation of the dishes are very refined, the wine selection, including champagne, the attentive waiters, and the portions aren't too large). The view of the vineyards and the lake is particularly beautiful, and it's cool in the summer. The atmosphere is romantic. I recommend the charcuterie and cheese platter. For a platter, one main course, one dessert, and a bottle of wine for four of us, we spent €55-60.

21/07/2026: Last Saturday, we were traveling to reach the halfway point of our vacation in Val Gardena. We encountered traffic jams on the Milan-Venice line, and after exiting at Peschiera, we decided to take a short break for a quick bite to eat. After asking IA, we were directed to this Osteria. It's a shame we didn't have more time, as we only had a first course and a dessert, but everything was truly delicious. The tiramisu was truly world-championship-caliber. The service was attentive, courteous, and professional.

10/07/2026: The gelato was really good. I tried the pistachio and salted caramel flavors. The only thing I didn't like was the wafer, which tasted like Biscoff. There's no seating available, although they do offer desserts, which are difficult to enjoy while walking.

24/05/2026: One of the best pizzerias in Italy that needs little introduction. Unlike others, it's best to sample several flavors, all delicious, imaginative, yet balanced. The four-slice size is perfect for sharing with the whole table and sampling the menu. I highly recommend the asparagus and pork loin pizza with a seed and corn base, and the pigeon and spinach pizza—truly incredible. I would recommend this experience to everyone, perhaps not as a classic pizzeria, but more as a restaurant. P.S. The chocolate dessert we found was also fantastic!

14/06/2026: We chose this restaurant because we heard they also cater to celiacs. It was a wonderful discovery! The food is delicious, authentic, the fish is incredibly fresh, the welcome is friendly, the menu is varied and unpretentious, the portions are generous, and the food is beautifully presented. In short, a place we'll definitely return to!!!

30/05/2026: We went for lunch today, 10 out of 10! A charming, old-world place. Excellent service and sublime dishes, plentiful and featuring exceptionally high-quality fish. Compliments to the entire restaurant staff, we'll be back soon!

19/05/2026: We had lunch on Monday the 18th and there were 3 of us. The food was good but it was difficult to fully appreciate it due to the terrible service. The wait times were extremely long: we were the first customers to come in but they forgot about us. Two dishes arrived and the third much later and only after being asked for. Water was ordered but it arrived only after a long wait and a further request. The feeling of total disorganization. Even getting 3 coffees was difficult and since they never arrived we had to ask for them. When it came time to pay, others in the queue at the cash register complained and told us that they were expecting fewer people and there were only a few of them! It would have been more correct not to accept any more customers beyond the number for which adequate service could be offered.

18/05/2026: A legendary restaurant for tortellini. All the other dishes are also excellent: siamo fritti, branzino alla griglia, mille folie di Manzo, and the semifreddo. The service was outstanding and attentive.

We stumbled upon it by chance the first time we travelled to Verona, and now whenever we travel through Italy, we make a point of stopping in Verona to go to this restaurant. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, and there’s a wide selection. The first time we went was for lunch on a weekend; it was very crowded then, so I’d recommend making a reservation on weekends. The last time we went was for lunch on a weekday; the restaurant wasn’t too busy then.

06/05/2026: Stopped in for a quick bite and the only restaurant open at 6:30pm (have to get use to 7:30 dinners again) after a long day of travel. The staff was very kind, food was great, the pizzas were perfect not filling light and fluffy, unlike the heavy thick pizza we have in America. The meat plate is more than expected but excellent. In house (bulk) wine 🍷 was exactly what we needed after a long day. Expect 2 hours or so to enjoy your meal as they let you enjoy your appetizer before starting pizzas. We came in at 6:30 and since we didn’t have a reservation they let us know they need the table by 8/8:30 for reservations. Cash or card excepted some parking we walked from our lodgings.

09/05/2026: Excellent food, definitely recommended, unusual pizzas with fantastic flavor

05/05/2026: Excellent staff, but questionable value I decided to try Saporè Downtown, intrigued by the format and the restaurant's reputation. The most positive aspect was undoubtedly the welcome: the staff was extremely kind and helpful, the true highlight of the evening. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, but I found the table setting to be excessively sparse and rudimentary. This is inconsistent with the €2.50 cover charge, despite the welcome gift of a small sample of bread and olive oil. The menu focuses heavily on pizzas (including their special formats) and few main courses; I missed appetizers or small tastings to start the dinner. As for the classic round pizzas, while I recognize the excellent quality of the ingredients, I didn't find them memorable. The prices (between €14 and €17 for those options) seem excessive, in my opinion, for the overall experience. Finally, the "distance" from the much-hyped Maestro Pizzaiolo is a bit disappointing: after so much emphasis on his research, not seeing him in action takes away some of the magic from the story. An interesting experience worth having once, but I don't think I'll be back.

01/06/2026: A lovely surprise. We had fish-based starters and pizza for the main course. Everything was really good. The staff was friendly and professional. I'll definitely be back. Kudos to the kitchen and all the staff.

31/05/2026: During our vacation in Torri del Benaco, we tried several restaurants – we even went to La Bacchessa twice because it was by far our favorite. The homemade pasta deserves special mention; it's expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. The other dishes were also of very high quality and prepared with great care. On both visits, the staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and very efficient, making us feel completely at ease. For us, La Bacchessa was the best restaurant we visited in Torri del Benaco. If you appreciate delicious, authentic Italian cuisine, homemade pasta, and warm service, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back on our next Lake Garda vacation! 🍝🇮🇹

20/07/2026: Wow! As the reviews say - gorgeous ambience & lovely and relaxed service and delicious food. Unassuming from the outside and opens to a beautiful courtyard and restaurant. Very near to the Arena and main shopping area. We enjoyed a late and slow lunch. Dari met every expectation and even with the poor $EU to Australian exchange rate, was still fair pricing for the experience.
