A lovely place that's a must-see during your visit; you always end up getting there eventually. We loved Verona, which is a very pretty city with its river, its old town, and the palaces and castles on the hills.

A beautiful, clean place. On hot days, the stones heat up too much and reflect heat, making it too hot. Fortunately, there's a fountain and a cold drinking water point.

Lo Stappo

18/07/2026: It's like so often in Italy: you drive through fields, towns like everywhere else, industrial parks, and then, around the next bend, you arrive at a sensational place. This one, where Lo Stappo is located, is no longer a hidden gem. But it's definitely worth the trip. Lo Stappo is right in the heart of things, and you won't be disappointed with the food. If the two waiters who attended our table had had the same friendly charm as the host who welcomed us so warmly, it would easily have earned five stars.

30/06/2026: The food was basic but good. The service was arrogant and condescending. Tourists, who are likely only visiting once, are treated condescendingly. It was a shame, as it was our wedding anniversary, and I was very annoyed. Not recommended.
25/06/2026: What a beautiful experience, the service was so personal and caring. The food was so well made, every dish was thoughtfully prepared with incredible skill. The view is breathtaking. What a unique experience!
