24/05/2026: This restaurant was within walking distance of the bed and breakfast for us. We had already read that it is very good. And that was absolutely true! In consultation with the chef, who also handled the service (very personal!), we ordered the 5-course menu. What a wonderful surprise that was! Very flavorful. Portions that weren't too large. This restaurant is definitely highly recommended!

29/06/2026: We were there two weeks ago on a Friday evening. I can say the paela is always good, but it's delicious. The downside is the stifling heat. The air conditioning is practically non-existent, but it needs to be considered during cooler periods. Again, I speak as number 1.

10/06/2026: Food was superb, the pizza and the pasta were really amazing and the tiramisu was amazing as well. They produce their own wines which were full of flavor, we had the ripasso and the amarone. Yet to try their sparkling wines. Very kind staff, chef and owners!! Worth the detour! Also nice views of the valley. Definitely recommend the place! Entrance is down the stairs.

19/04/2026: A gem in the Illasi Valley. A welcoming restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. The dishes are carefully crafted and locally sourced, accompanied by an excellent selection of wines. The view of the Valpolicella hills is splendid.

21/06/2026: I discovered it by chance while looking for a restaurant for lunch outside Verona on my way back from a weekend getaway. It was exactly what I was looking for! A rustic house, in the countryside among olive groves. It's right next to a crossroads, but we'll find out why later. To enter, you ring the bell, just like at home. The interior has that lunchtime atmosphere, the coolness of rustic stone houses, almost dim light (and given today's heat, it's perfect). Signora Antonia welcomes us and shows us to the table. We're early, and we're the only ones there for now. We discover it's the family home, belonging to her grandmother and aunt (who still lives upstairs), who had a tobacco shop right at the entrance (on the crossroads) and over time has become a restaurant. It really feels like home. Everything is very familiar, meticulously prepared, and simple. Dishes change with the seasons. Pasta is handmade in-house. I recommend the tagliolini al taglio (hand-cut tagliolini) with beef and veal ragù, and the tagliata (sliced ​​steak). Authentic flavors. High-quality products. The atmosphere is perfect for finishing with a coffee; they only make moka pot coffee (I love it) and their own licorice liqueur. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. 13/06/2026: The gourmet title is worthy. Excellent quality, competent staff, and a place to match. To be careful, as a true Calabrian, I recommend adding chili pepper to the Vulcano pizza on the menu, otherwise it will quickly lose a star.

08/07/2026: Joke of a place, really nice cocktails but extremely rude barmen who did not care about good service or politeness. Honestly couldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a nice night out

02/07/2026: Very strange experience with the two barmen who acted like they were either drunk or off their faces. The guy making the drinks kept dropping stuff, ok not too much of a problem. When it was time to pay the two looked at each other and whispered like they were making an agreement between them. After a little thought I was told I owed 12 euros (it should’ve been 16 euros). On checking my receipt outside I’d been charged 20 euros. I went in to question it and gave them the receipt. They gave me 5 euros back. It still felt odd so a couple of minutes later I asked for my receipt back in order to keep an eye on what comes out of my bank account. This is when it got really strange. They pretended not to understand even though several Italian people were translating. I never got the receipt, it became too difficult and they were acting very weird. The drinks were fine but I would never return. Management would be wise to look into these two members of staff.
