22/02/2025: Je n'évalue que ce qu'il y a dans l'assiette. Je ne doute pas que le cadre doit être encore plus splendide en été, avec la promesse d'un déjeuner ou d'un dîner sur la terrasse du 7ème étage avec la vue sur les collines de Toscane. Cependant je dois dire que je n'ai trouvé ici que des plats assez fades. Une présentation comme dans un restaurant gastronomique mais sans le goût. C'est cher, c'est moyen, sans plus. Ça va si vous n'avez pas d'autre solution.

26/04/2025: I paid 10€ for a bottle of water and he insisted that I gave 5 so I took change from 5. I know exactly what bills I had on me because I had bought ice cream, cannoli and coffee and I had change from 50€ (20+10). I asked if there is a camera at the cash register so we can see them but he said no yes. Fraudster, don't click again!!!

06/06/2025: We've been cycling for two weeks. Best accommodation (and value for money) so far. Extremely friendly, excellent food. Beautiful view/sunset from the terrace. The vaulted cellar dinner was also top-notch!

19/05/2025: A place that's unassuming. We arrived at 3 p.m. and spent €12 for two to eat delicious dishes that were more than enough to sustain us, made with quality ingredients. It was very good, and the setting was magnificent. The manager is also very friendly and takes the time to explain the recommended pairings. Thank you!

20/12/2024: Good food. The pizza was well stuffed and cooked, if you are Neapolitan like me it is difficult to give a 5 if it is not perfect... the atmosphere was pleasant.. nothing exceptional but what consoled me was the view just outside the restaurant on the other side of the road..

12/10/2024: Posto fantastico...nel cuore del Chianti..a un km da Castellina.. gestione super Famigliare mammà, figlio e papà.. Tutto perfetto non vi è altro da aggiungere. Colazione abbondante, piscina, possibilità cena in loco. Strategico x raggiungere Greve in Chianti, Panzano .. S. Gimignano.Da rivisitare

08/10/2024: Superb Agriturismo in the heart of Chianti, between the vineyards, and on a human scale. Warm welcome and the room is very charming and clean! Quiet place where you can see the stars (rare these days). Thanks to the entire Casina team for the welcome :)

05/01/2025: Simple place with a quiet atmosphere, a brick vaulted environment with glimpses of Tuscan tradition combined with contemporary works of art. It offers drinks, croissants, cutting boards and a wide variety of books, board games and pastimes. Hot chocolate from a machine with cream spray €3.50 Modest prices for being in the main street of the historic center of the village. Reachable from the main car park via the public lift located behind the keep and town hall, passing through a suggestive walkway and a very well-kept modern square.

06/10/2024: El mejor bar por lejos y el personal es tremendo Los lugareños son muy amables y le dan la bienvenida. Todo sucede en el bar desde la mañana hasta la noche, un verdadero centro local y no todo sobre el alcohol! Los niños locales vienen y compran sus dulces y helados, etc. Un verdadero placer. Fabuloso café y pasteles por la mañana y bocadillos de pizza, etc. durante el día Gran parada para ciclistas! Nos quedamos y nos sentimos parte.

08/06/2025: A lovely little osteria on a side street in San Gimignano, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. The pizza was very good, as was the house wine. The price (including €3 covers per person) is still acceptable.

05/06/2025: Good restaurant with typical Tuscan dishes in the historic center of San Gimignano and with outdoor seating. Excellent tagliatelle with wild boar, grilled steak but also the cold cuts from the cutting board. All cheered up by good house wine - Chianti - and the friendliness and cordiality of the owner.

08/05/2025: While the hotel is not in the old city center it is only a 400 m walk away on sidewalks beside the road. It’s nice to also have a bar and restaurant for breakfast and dinner on premise. Last night I had the Tuscan bean soup. Very traditionally made with soft white beans, fresh spinach and bread and drizzled with olive oil. Flavors subtle the way it was meant to be in an average home. The baked chicken with saffron topped with asparagus was just right. Moist and tender inside with al dente asparagus. A fine end to a day on via Francigena.
