09/09/2025: We went to il saracino for lunch on our way to Monteverdi. The waitress was very patient with our non Italian skills and helped us order a beautiful meal! Highly recommend the pastas

24/06/2025: The breakfast needs improvement. We expected a farm with local products. Instead, we were offered none of that. The interior of the accommodation needs to be renovated! The location and the view are fantastic!

24/05/2025: Sweet, small cafe outside Siena. Happened upon it leaving the chaotic, lack of tourismo parking, Siena. Had a delicious pranzo and enjoyed conversing with the lovely lady running the ristorante.

10/08/2025: Menu che non cambia mai. Solo e sempre pici, il dolce in misera porzione viene servito in una ciotolina di solito usata per gli assaggi delle confetture ,ma quello che mi ha innervosito e' stato quando al momento del conto, pur di non farmi uno sconto di 1.70 € mi hanno dato il resto a 90€ in monetineanche di 5 centesimi Il totale era 71.70 e io ho pagato con 90€. Il menù non corrisponde a quanto viene realmente offerto, alle ore 20,00 hanno già finito tutto o lo chef ha deciso di non preparare più quanto scritto nel menù!

30/07/2025: Probamos este lugar para el almuerzo y disfrutamos IT. Tuvimos maravillosas recomendaciones sobre qué probar y disfrutar de todos ellos! Comparte platos para empezar, luego pasta tradicional y estofado de jabalí para la red. Terminamos con Helado para los niños y tiramisú - postre estilo adulto. Toda la experiencia fue encantadora, muy relajada y amable. Gracias por recibirnos! Tuvimos un paseo lento y completo de vuelta a nuestro lugar de estancia 🤭🫣 Mis fotos eran inútiles, pero el sabor de estos platos sencillos eran fabulosos!

29/08/2025: Very convenient if you're traveling on the highway because it's 5 minutes away. Excellent food, as is the service. Fairly quick. I recommend the pasta with meat sauce and the tiramisu. The price was quite reasonable; there were 3 of us and we spent 50 for 1, 2, and dessert.

28/08/2025: Ci siamo fermati per caso in questa cascina sulla strada per tornare a casa.Ristorante pienissimo, ma questo non ha minimamente diminuito la professionalità dei proprietari, il gusto delle pietanze e la velocità del servizio.Una bontà da cucina di casa Toscana per l estasi delle papille gustative.

22/08/2025: I returned to this restaurant and found it to be a truly special place, with a welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful decor, and excellent background music. The food was a pleasant surprise: I tried several shared dishes and everything was delicious, especially a delicious reinterpretation of classic Tuscan crostini. The only downside was the somewhat inconsistent service; at times inattentive and almost aloof.

31/07/2025: I returned to Bottega Roots after a long time away, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. While I used to go there just for an aperitivo, now it's a real pleasure to sit down with friends and enjoy dinner while listening to good music. We ordered a few mixed plates so we could share everything and try more; and it was all delicious! I absolutely loved their reinterpretation of Tuscan crostino nero! Everything was perfect except for the service. A little more smile from the bartender and a little more attention from the waitresses would make this place perfect! See you soon!

21/08/2025: I highly recommend this cafe. The sweets are delicious...but it's not without risk...you can gain weight quickly... The atmosphere is very informal...the service was always very friendly and warm... So, a must-visit when visiting this small town.

17/06/2025: I often stop at this pastry shop for a quiet breakfast. Both in summer and winter I can sit at a table and give myself 10 minutes of relaxation. In winter the indoor tables give a warmth and a sense of serenity. In summer, however, I sit at the outdoor tables, in the quiet square. Often a light breeze, like today, keeps the air fresh and sipping a cappuccino and tasting a good pasta becomes really pleasant. The area is quiet, and even if it is not an exclusive location, I prefer it to the more lively Piazza Arnolfo, a few steps away. If you pass by here and want to pamper yourself and relax I recommend this place. You will find kindness, serenity and courtesy. The staff is very kind and will be able to advise you in front of the specialties that will leave you in doubt about which to try, for their variety.

05/01/2025: Simple place with a quiet atmosphere, a brick vaulted environment with glimpses of Tuscan tradition combined with contemporary works of art. It offers drinks, croissants, cutting boards and a wide variety of books, board games and pastimes. Hot chocolate from a machine with cream spray €3.50 Modest prices for being in the main street of the historic center of the village. Reachable from the main car park via the public lift located behind the keep and town hall, passing through a suggestive walkway and a very well-kept modern square.

06/10/2024: El mejor bar por lejos y el personal es tremendo Los lugareños son muy amables y le dan la bienvenida. Todo sucede en el bar desde la mañana hasta la noche, un verdadero centro local y no todo sobre el alcohol! Los niños locales vienen y compran sus dulces y helados, etc. Un verdadero placer. Fabuloso café y pasteles por la mañana y bocadillos de pizza, etc. durante el día Gran parada para ciclistas! Nos quedamos y nos sentimos parte.

07/09/2025: We arrived at 9 p.m., and upon entering, a man came out to tell us it was closed, even though the terrace was literally packed with people looking at the menu, and the internet said it closed at 9:30 p.m. I don't know why, but he was very rude about it, almost sending us away. It's a shame because the food was sure to be very good, based on the reviews we'd read, but the service was terrible.

07/09/2025: An ideal place for a vacation in the green heart of upper Umbria, a good starting point for destinations like Lake Trasimeno, Tuoro, Passignano, Castiglione, and a quick trip to Tuscany. Spacious and comfortable apartment. Excellent pool and restaurant. All this is enhanced by the helpful and friendly owners. We'll definitely be back!
