06/06/2026: I visited this restaurant before. It's a fantastic and very popular hostaria where you can fully enjoy traditional Siena cuisine. Every dish I had was truly delicious, showcasing the authentic, simple, and deep flavors of the region. While the food was superb, what I remember most is the owner's incredibly kind and friendly personality; we had a wonderful time chatting. I was able to spend a special time in a warm, homey atmosphere, leaving both my stomach and heart completely satisfied. I would confidently recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience Siena's warm culture and delicious traditional cuisine firsthand.

10/05/2026: The cuisine speaks for itself; all that's left to do is try it. The courtesy and friendliness of the staff and chef perfectly complement the delicious food. I recommend it to anyone who wants something special, especially fish. But there are no limits; whether meat or fish, every dish is worth savoring. It's worth it... even just listening to the description... and in the end, you're always spoiled for choice. Always top-notch, one of the best cuisines ever.

26/04/2026: I only knew this restaurant by name, and mostly for its seafood. Excellent food (fish, of course), generous portions, excellent customer service, and a more than reasonable price. The only downside, but this is where parents come into play, was the proximity of a child who had been screaming all evening. Otherwise, a well-deserved 5 stars.

04/05/2026: Stumbled into this family restaurant entirely by accident. I was looking for squid ink pasta and GMaps directed me here and was disappointed that they don't have it (anymore?). Since it's quite a walk from the main road, we decided to stay and just eat there. First off, they're a small family owned restaurant. We arrived at 12, when the restaurant opens, and the owners were eating. They were done shortly after but this is what I was hoping for: small family owned restaurant with home cooking away from tourist traps. We ordered the tripe (trippa), chicken (pollo alla contadina), and the tagliatelle pesto with pistacchio and pomodorini. Every dish was fantastic. Do yourself a favor and walk the extra 5-10 minutes to and fro from the main square and try this restaurant out. You won't be disappointed and the family there that runs it are so sweet.

03/05/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Siena. I stopped by by chance, but I was very satisfied thanks to the quiet and sophisticated atmosphere. Although it is known as a steakhouse, I was disappointed that I couldn't try the steak due to time constraints; however, the pasta is also really delicious. I especially recommend the gnocchi made with shrimp, zucchini, and tomatoes, and the ravioli with tomato sauce. If I visit Siena again, I definitely want to try the steak. I would also like to thank the staff for their kind and warm welcome.

02/05/2026: Great authentic Tuscan trattoria in the heart of Siena. Delicious traditional dishes, good wine selection (ask Erik for local wine tips) and very friendly service. The atmosphere is cozy and genuine, exactly what you expect from a local spot. Excellent value for money highly recommended 😊

23/05/2026: Lessen provided amazing service. My wife and I are here with my mother in law and we had the best food we have ever ate in Italy. He made our ribeye in front of us, he gave us a whole lesson on the different meats. He was very friendly. He made our experience so nice. This was the best meal and service we had in Italy. We’ve been all over and he goes above and beyond.

22/05/2026: If you want to try authentic Tuscan cuisine, this is the place to go. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The chef even comes to your table personally and chats with you! Highly recommended!

10/06/2026: There were two of us; we parked in the covered paid parking lot, and there's also the P6 parking lot nearby. It was a long weekend Sunday and Montepulciano was very busy; we hadn't booked, but we were very lucky to get a table for two around 9 pm. The place is small but extremely cute, the staff were welcoming, and the food was delicious. We were extremely satisfied! We ordered a cacciatore appetizer, two first courses, two desserts, water, a glass of wine, and two coffees. Very fair prices! We were truly satisfied! We'll definitely be back!

14/04/2026: Excellent restaurant with delicious pizza (including gluten-free!) located in Castel San Gimignano, centrally located and easily accessible, especially if you're traveling. Excellent service and very friendly and polite waiters. A bonus is the wide selection of gluten-free dishes and drinks, which are not always easy to find.

We fell in love with the attitude of the owner Luciano, who paid personal attention to everyone, offered a place in the shade for people to wait in line for tables, gave them wine as compensation, water for the children, recommended tasting food and drinks, if you hesitated about the choice and sent everyone off with a kind word. 09/05/2026: My cousin Luca and I decided to take a motorcycle ride together, leaving from my house in Fauglia to head to San Gimignano. Beautiful roads, a blooming season, a sunny day, and... a million people who had made the same choice as us, going to San Gimignano. Having motorcycles didn't do us any good; we ended up getting a fine for "parking" them in a corner where they weren't a nuisance but weren't in a "permitted" space. A bit of anger toward a city council that doesn't understand that, when access to the city is limited, a bit of flexibility is needed. After all, we're there to bring in tourist money. Well, that aside, we chose a slightly less central restaurant to avoid the crowds: "Il Pino." Elegant, with tables on a side street with no traffic and not too many people. We sat at unattractive tables and chairs without tablecloths, which didn't match the high-end restaurant prices. Fortunately, the food is excellent, with a wide selection without being overwhelming. The staff is very friendly and close-knit, which is evident from the fact that it's a long-standing family business that also includes a B&B. I asked permission to photograph and tour the place, and they very kindly said yes. The rooms are very beautiful and include a beautifully renovated former stable. All in all, a very pleasant experience that I recommend. The only reason I didn't give it full marks was the lackluster nature of the table.

05/05/2026: We stopped by on a whim and pushed open the door because the menu looked so tempting. We were so glad we did for lunch. The asparagus and truffle risotto was excellent, and the stuffed pigeon was sublime. The wine pairings were superb! Kudos and thanks to the waiter for his generosity in sharing his regional specialties.

06/05/2026: I went to Ristorante Daria on May 1st with friends and we couldn't have chosen better. We ate divinely: dishes crafted with attention to every detail and authentic flavors. It was a crescendo of flavors from appetizer to dessert. Compliments to the staff for their courteous and professional service. A tour of Montichiello is also highly recommended: a beautiful village with meticulous attention to detail, just like on postcards of Tuscany.

06/05/2026: Truly exceptional. The hospitality and kindness of the owners were truly appreciated. The homemade pici pasta is unbeatable, but I also recommend the chicken livers served with jam for an appetizer. The black cherry crème caramel for dessert was the best I've ever tasted. Plenty of vegetarian options, too. I can't wait to return!
