Thank you for a wonderful first night (back) in Tuscany.

31/07/2026: If I could give 10 stars, I would. Excellent food, amazing first courses with excellent ingredients. Impeccable service, like I haven't seen in months. Finally, a team that knows what they're doing. Delicious tiramisu. I recommend all the first courses, the meat tartare is truly special, the zucchini flowers too, and the tiramisu in particular is among the best desserts. Not to mention the view of the San Biagio temple and the delightful garden! Well done!

09/08/2026: Go for it without hesitation! We had the best truffle pasta of our lives!! The garden setting is very warm, intimate, and peaceful. We also ordered the beef Florentine, cooked over a wood fire… Wow! Perfectly cooked! The recommended wine was also superb. And what can I say about the service: impeccable from start to finish. In short, go for it, you won't be disappointed! ❤️ Aperitif, starter, main course, dessert, wine, and coffee for him: expect to pay around €180 for two.

07/08/2026: The setting is lovely. The service is very professional. We ate outside with a view of the kitchen. The limited menu is a sign of quality. We ate very well; however, we shared a 1500g Florentine rib steak which still cost us €97 (plus €6 for the side dish). This price didn't seem justified to us, even though the quality of the meat was good.

04/07/2026: The restaurant is very nice and cozy, the people who work there are very nice and treated us well. The food came quickly, and it was clearly home made, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is light but happy at the same time. I strongly recomend this restaurant to families, couples and individuals who want to have a memorable dinner.

Usually, in historic and crowded places you find touristy places, but here you can savor authentic flavors, cooked with care and passion. The place and the flavors took me back in time, to my childhood. It's hard to find places as authentic and cared for as these these days, from the evocative retro location to the fresh flowers on the table. As for the food, what can I say? 10 out of 10. We had two first courses, a pinci with wild boar and tagliolini with nettle and arugula pesto, and for the second course, a guinea fowl with vin santo and a sliced ​​steak. We were enthralled listening to the delightful owner explain that this type of pizza is a specialty of beautiful Siena. Ingredients such as pecorino cheese, leeks and local cured meats/ salami. The owner is honestly the nicest man we’ve met in Siena A and best of all - he has an oven fired up, and bakes the pizza to your order. Most other shops around here sell cold pizza and heat it up, not here- it’s made to order. Delicious and fantastic attention to detail and hygiene. We thank you for this truly magical experience in Siena.

22/08/2026: We stopped at Tre Archi on the way to Siena and had a wonderful time. The staff is very friendly and the dishes are carefully presented. We tried the homemade pici and found it a true experience. The service isn't the fastest, but with a table on the veranda, you can enjoy a leisurely lunch. We would have loved to try the Florentine steak, but we had to continue our journey. If we stop by again, we'll definitely be back.

21/08/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance and it was a delightful discovery. The food was excellent, the place was beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and, above all, helpful. The prices were fair. The meat and fish were both excellent. The herb-filled tagliata was exceptional. The pici with bacon and pecorino fondue were delicious, as was the platter, where the quality of the prosciutto, cold cuts, and cheeses was excellent. A word of advice: if you're in the area, stop by!

14/08/2026: It's a small, intimate, yet special place. Excellent traditional dishes, simple yet attentive and kind service, even with our dog. Exquisite and generous dishes, excellent value. If you're in Montepulciano and want to eat in an authentic atmosphere, you have to go to La Pentolaccia. Best to book for the evening!

06/08/2026: Already a little disappointed by our visit to Chianciano (we expected a livelier and more cheerful village), we chose this restaurant based on the reviews. Before booking, I contacted the owner by phone to ask if vegan or vegetarian options were available, since I don't eat meat. I was assured that an alternative menu would be offered. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case: the alternatives simply consisted of the same dishes currently available, with the animal ingredients removed, without any real special menu. I was particularly disappointed by the first course, fusilloni, which seemed to have been reheated in the microwave: the dish wasn't even steaming hot and clearly gave the impression of not having been freshly prepared. I didn't want to comment because I know the challenges of managing a kitchen, especially in the summer heat. My companion, on the other hand, thought the meat was good, but was disappointed by the quantity of the side dishes: there were very few potatoes and the salad consisted of just two leaves. We also found the service a bit lacking: drinks were forgotten, and the staff was unable to provide accurate information about the weight of the meat. We also had the feeling that the wait staff was constantly checking the tables. With only five tables occupied, their constant presence made us feel a bit observed and uncomfortable. The only real positive note, for me, was the chicory, which was truly delicious. We were still hungry and had to ask for a second portion of baked potatoes. In total, we spent €88 for two for a Coca-Cola Zero, a small glass of wine, two bottles of water, a first course, two portions of chicory, a portion of baked potatoes, and a 250g sliced ​​Chianina beef. We skipped dessert because it seemed rather expensive. Overall, in our experience, the value for money wasn't convincing, and I personally wouldn't recommend it. Of course, this is just our experience and assessments can be very subjective.

Traditional peasant recipes, exceptionally high-quality ingredients, and the warmth of a welcoming family, ready to share the beauty and deliciousness of Monte Amiata. Mattia and his family are a prime example of those who strive to preserve a culinary tradition that is both ancient and modern. I could tell you about the Cipollato (bread and onion soup) or the Buione (white game stew), or the Cibreo, a peasant ragù with chicken livers... But I'll let you imagine the flavors of forest, farmyard, and earth that emanate from every dish. I will, however, shed a tear on the hand-cut prosciutto and the venison salami... Sublime, holistic, and suave. SOS is what you'll throw at the end of the meal because you won't want to leave Osteria 101. But Mattia, if you wink the right eye, will accompany you to the exit with a sip of Piedmontese Vermouth.

14/08/2026: The strong point of this agri-osteria is undoubtedly its setting: in the open countryside, with many animals you can show your children if necessary. Everything around the farmhouse is very well-kept and peaceful. The dishes are good, on par with many other restaurants in the area, and it should be noted that the average quality of restaurants in this area is very high. The staff is courteous and professional. In short, this place is definitely worth considering if, in addition to good food, you're also interested in spending some time in harmony with the surrounding (very beautiful) countryside.

13/08/2026: We came to eat with a couple of families (there were 10 of us in total), on the recommendation of a local friend. The location is beautiful and well-kept, with outdoor tables, great music, enclosures with various animals (including a friendly barn owl), and a children's play area. The quality of the food (we ordered grilled meats and pasta with various sauces) was never in doubt, but unfortunately, the service wasn't the best. We had reserved a table for 8:30 PM and the owner told us to go ahead. We arrived about 10 minutes late, give or take a minute. Once seated at the table, we chose our drinks and food, but the waitress took our first and second courses about an hour later. The second courses (grilled meats) arrived very late, followed by the pici after another 15 minutes, with rather questionable portions. The children's pasta arrived another 15 minutes later. It all arrived around 10:30 PM, along with a mini cream soup. The bread was practically nonexistent, especially considering the cover charge of about €3 per person. The managers apologized several times, with somewhat unrealistic explanations. There was even a second intervention from the manager, this time quite annoyed. After waiting almost two hours for dinner, it didn't seem like a particularly nice gesture. The only positive note, perhaps in an attempt to further apologize, was the two coffees and a tiramisu dessert offered on the house, on a bill of about €260. A bit low, considering the many mistakes and, above all, the fact that there were few people at the other tables. Was the evening a bad one? Who knows. :)
