30/03/2026: Re di Macchia is exactly what you hope to find in a Tuscan hill town—an intimate, welcoming trattoria serving traditional dishes with real care. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant is small and cozy, and the hospitality makes the whole experience feel personal. We had a reservation at opening, and had a chance to meet the owner. He was so authentic, and caring, which absolutely came through in the meals. We had 2 excellent meals. My wife had the mushroom lasagna, and it was excellent—rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. I went with the steak topped with Parmesan, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, with just the right balance of flavor. This restaurant is a must do for anyone wanting an authentic, high-quality Tuscan food in a welcoming setting.

28/03/2026: Memorable meal in Montalcino at this family run restaurant. Excellent service, cozy ambiance and nostalgic food that left us with a smile on our face. We had the broccoli soufflé, eggplant parmigiana, steak, cannellini beans and tiramisu. Paired it all with a very delicious bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. Lovely meal at a place worth returning to.

06/04/2026: The agri-restaurant is surrounded by greenery. You can see the animals, and the staff is very kind and attentive. The man grilling explained to us what "panigacci" are and how to make them, making the experience very inclusive and conveying his passion for his work. In addition to the panigacci, we also ordered a mixed grill, pici with white ragu, and a half liter of red wine for a total of €60. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

23/03/2026: La Galleria isn't just a restaurant, it's a place to indulge, a way to relax for two hours while enjoying excellent fish or meat dishes. Michele and the rest of the staff are always on point and make you feel right at home, without ever feeling like a mere "customer." Their must-haves are definitely the raw fish, the tagliolini alla Mirko, the fried fish, and not to mention their seared tuna. I personally recommend the tagliolini with lobster (reservation required). The best I've ever had. The apple pie and vanilla ice cream are sensational desserts. Galleria, a favorite place...always.

09/11/2025: This inn was a gem on our trip to discover Tuscany. It immediately strikes you with its location, its breathtaking view, and the tranquility that reigns. The staff was super kind and helpful, suggesting modifications to the dishes to make them vegetarian-friendly. The flavors are authentic and homey, the dishes are seasonal, and the produce comes from the garden. The entrée and first courses were exceptional, as were the desserts, accompanied by coffee from the moka pot. Highly recommended

24/10/2025: 10/10 experience in Tuscany. This was the highlight of our recent trip to Italy. Alessandro and his family were so lovely. He is an amazing storyteller, a kind human, and so much fun to be around. We loved learning how to make homemade pasta, tiramisu and some other delicious Tuscan food. We had the most wonderful day with Alessandro and the other guests, the food and wine were delicious, and this is an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!!!

11/03/2026: Wonderful family run restaurant. Pappardelle with wild boar highly recommended. Home made pasta. Steak with porcini mushrooms also great. We came in the evening but next time will come at lunch so we can enjoy the amazing views during daylight.

20/03/2026: It is so delicious...! I recommend the Pea Soup, which really brings out the natural flavor of the ingredients. The Chianina Fillet (steak) and Truffle Tagliolini are also fantastically delicious. The Tiramisu is unlike any Tiramisu I have ever tasted. To think they reinterpreted dessert like this, like fine dining... It is a work of art crafted simply! *Pompi Tiramisu in Rome < Korean Tiramisu <<<< La Bandita Tiramisu I am currently staying at La Bandita. The accommodation is very clean and nice (though the sink felt a bit clogged), but the restaurants are also excellent. I was planning to travel all over Tuscany by rental car, but I think I won't be able to leave Pienza... haha. Restaurants in Pienza are generally of a higher standard than in Rome. I don't know if it's the difference between tourist food businesses and local eateries, but unlike Rome, every restaurant and dessert place I go to is a success. Among them, La Bandita is the highlight👍 I said "Buono~ 👍" to the chef, and he happily gave me a high-five🙌 haha. I'll be back tomorrow :) Spring pea soup with lemon crème fraîche Handmade tagliolini with tartufo bianchetti Fillet of Chianina beef with millefoglie potatoes, baby vegetables, crispy bacon and red wine jus Nobile di Montepulciano '22/'23 Townhouse Tiramisù Facts to enjoy knowing before you eat 🙂> The reason Italian steaks are exceptionally red: 'Chianina' cattle 'Chianina' is one of the world's largest and oldest cattle breeds, characterized by low fat (marbling) and firm muscle mass. Because it has low fat content, there are fewer white areas when grilled, revealing the meat's natural bright red proteins. Although it may appear undercooked due to the low fat content, heat has often penetrated deep into the meat, making it actually more cooked than it looks. Additionally, Italian chefs' 'medium' is closer to the Korean standard of 'medium rare.' Since the meat is so thick (usually 4-5 cm), they prefer a cooking method where the outside is seared to lock in the juices while keeping the inside tender. — Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte. Bandita Burger: They stacked it high, making it great for taking photos, and it tasted great too👍 It was delicious with the Pecorino cheese. * Pecorino Cheese: The milk of sheep (Pecora) raised on the grass and herbs of the 'Val d'Orcia' plains is infused with a distinctive fragrant flavor. Pecorino is made from this Pecorino milk. Tagliatelle: Fresh and good with basil pesto. Tartare of Chianina beef with sweet and sour wasabi, ginger, and chili. "Bandita Burger" with melted pecorino cheese, grilled bun, and mayonnaise, topped with crispy guanciale, fried egg, and french fries. Tagliatelle with basil pesto and Parmesan shavings. — 3rd visit Ossobuco Ravioli: Braised oxtail is inside the ravioli, and it is delicious. The foie gras is tasty and not fishy at all, though the portion isn't huge (it just looks small in comparison because the portions of other dishes are so large). Lamb: Despite the appearance that makes you look like you're going to grab the leg and tear into it, it is delicious with no gamey smell. Tiramisu: It was so good I ate it again lol. Chocolate + Miso: A sweet and salty revolution created from a combination that seems impossible..! 05/04/2026: We had a lunch/aperitif here by chance. This deli offers local products and simple, traditional cuisine. We shared a cheese and cured meat platter with a bottle of wine among seven of us. The products were top-quality and the staff were very friendly. I recommend this place for a quick lunch because they also offer sandwiches/focaccias and crostoni. We'll be back!

03/04/2026: The food was typical Tuscan, and it was my first time trying goat cheese; it was very flavorful and a great experience. The owner was incredibly friendly and even gave me a postcard with a picture of the shop.

22/11/2025: We spontaneously visited Bruscello in mid-September during our trip to Siena and were absolutely thrilled. Superb service, fantastic food, and great wine. It was the best meal I had on my entire trip to Italy! We ordered the pici (incredibly good!), the stracotto di manzo al chianti con purea di patate, beef tongue arrosticini with teriyaki sauce, and for dessert, a crepe cake and the "Taste of Siena" coffee, along with a very good espresso. Everything about the evening was perfect, and I highly recommend spending an evening here :)

15/11/2025: This review is long overdue! We booked this fabulous restaurant for a birthday dinner in October 2025 with a group of 11, and it was perfect. Marco, the owner, was truly amazing! He helped me craft a wonderful menu, and every single person absolutely loved their meal. It was a memorable evening, and I’m so grateful for Marco and his incredible hospitality. Highly recommend!

08/04/2026: We had a great lunch here! Food was incredible, great wine selection, excellent service and a amazing atmosphere. We also had our two month old with us and the staff was very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend. We ordered the timballo rustico, pici ragù, and lamb with the side of the day (seasonal asparagus).
