30/05/2025: Leggendo alcune convincenti recensioni (e non i soliti “opachi” specchietti per le allodole) ad inizio mese essendo in zona, ho deciso di servirmi di questo locale, ed ho fatto bene! Locale informale, vecchia maniera, dove poter mangiare una bistecca fiorentina “maestosa” servita alla perfezione e condita dalla simpatia del titolare, il Signor Paolo. Buonissimi anche i loro crostini e i fagioli all’uccelletto. Ho apprezzato anche il loro vino (Tenuta San Michele), un Chianti delle Colline Fiorentine servito nei tradizionali ed ormai introvabili fiaschi impagliati: una sciccheria! Prezzi più che onesti e adeguati, così come adeguati sono stati i tempi di attesa. Promosso a pieni voti.

12/06/2025: Delicious food! We ordered a pizza and a pasta, nothing to complain about the pasta, it was very tasty, but the pizza… Mega tasty! Too bad we didn't both have a pizza. It is easy to cycle from the camping Panorama del Chianti and definitely worth it. You don't have to leave it for the money because the prices are very affordable. Compliments to the incredibly nice and friendly service!

18/06/2025: Encontrar un restaurante totalmente libre de gluten era tan agradable. Elegimos la opción de bottega y obtuvimos nuestros bocadillos para llevar. Pedir era a través de una pantalla y te dan un número. Soy vegano y pude quitar el queso al hacer el pedido. También tienen cerveza sin gluten. La espera no fue larga y mi sobrina que no está libre de gluten dijo que no sería capaz de decir que el pan era gf.

29/05/2025: Went on a locals recommendation. Tried their pizza Italiana with special dough. Was made with 100% refined flour base and taste wise was my worst pizza in Italy.

28/05/2025: Welcoming atmosphere and authentic flavors We went to Vecchio Carlino for dinner and we were really impressed. The atmosphere is very welcoming, perfect for a relaxed evening. The staff was very kind and made us feel at ease right away. We ordered a pizza and… what can I say? Exceptional! Light dough, perfect cooking and high-quality ingredients. A restaurant that combines tradition and quality with simplicity. We will definitely be back!

28/05/2025: Wonderful restaurant , excellent food. Friends took us there for a late dinner, Sunday Mother’s Day and the dishes out of this world . Local dishes that we never had, private tables, we felt like at home but beside that, the friendly atmosphere, the food, wine and prices not bad. To me this is 10/10

18/05/2025: So glad I visited this bakery on my trip to Florence! In an area that felt more local than touristy. A ‘must do’ for any coeliac. One of the best totally gluten free bakeries I’ve been too. They are rare. This feels so safe and the choice!!!!! Incredible. Would recommend the donuts and the chocolate flakey pastries. Great selection in the shop too of lots of gf produce. The staff were also friendly and spoke English.

10/05/2025: è un forno per celiaci, oltre focacce, pizze, pane non serve niente altro. purtroppo nessun cartello avverte che i loro prodotti sono riservati a persone che soffrono di quella patologia. locale alquanto squallido, cameriere scortesi. personalmente lo sconsiglierei.

27/05/2025: I have been working in the same street for 9 years and for all this time this restaurant has been a point of reference for the quality of the dishes, the research and respect for tradition, the correctness of the prices, the genuine and spontaneous friendliness of all the staff! Learning of the closure of this point of reference for Chinese cuisine present for over 30 years is immensely sad and makes you reflect on the too harsh and almost absurd law of the real estate market in Florence, which favors businesses that close every 12 months rather than loyal tenants. Good luck to all the staff and the owner Massimo with the hope that this change brings more beautiful news! I hope to see you soon!!

24/05/2025: We really enjoyed our meals here! The curry and noodles was a first for us but quite good, the chicken fried rice had a good mix of veggies and egg, the sweet and sour chicken was light and crisp and the pineapple sauce was great, not cloyingly sweet and dyed red as it generally is in the US. The beef and broccoli was flavorful and beautifully cooked. We had a big group and shared the dishes, ended up ordering a few more bc the portions were appropriate for 1 serving and not the huge, too much serving as is the case at home. Not expensive. Try it!

12/06/2025: This is an absolute gem. We bought very nice local wine here for a good price, and the owner is such a nice Italian guy. We had a great afternoon here chatting with the locals and the owner. This is the ‘belle Italia’ that you are looking for! Greetings from Holland

10/06/2025: We attended for a birthday with about thirty people. Informal but nice atmosphere, in the nice weather the tables are outside under a canopy. The swimming pool with deck chairs and umbrellas is also nice. The evening was pleasant even if they started serving us quite late, 9.30pm. However the entertainment was really pleasant even if the volume is high so it is not suitable for those who want to chat in peace. After dinner the music was loud and we danced on the tables!!

29/04/2025: I was in this place on a Monday evening, i.e. the evening of the events, and I understood that it is simply the evening of the chicken spinner.... Everything is expensive starting from the theoretically free parking but you pay €5 without any receipt obviously, not to mention the sky-high prices of the drinks.... I think it is better to go there on the other days of the week.

28/03/2025: Family-run place, in these times really cheap and with an excellent quality-price ratio, staff always available and very kind, attentive to the needs of their customers, abundant and very good dishes! Farfalette with salmon and tortellini are my favorite dishes and I find them made just like at home 😋! It always has good promotions, where in Palermo can you find a full belly and spending little while eating well?! Obviously from them, it is highly recommended to try it for yourself 👍🏼👏🏼

23/01/2025: There were 10 of us who took fish and meat starters and various side dishes.... Everything was delicious, fresh fish, super clean and very welcoming place. The owners, including Tony the chef and his wife, are very gracious and super available for every need. We will be back very soon thank you

29/06/2025: We have been to Florence a few times. The pizzas have fluffy edges and a nice crispiness, and the inside is soft. The toppings were also carefully selected and of high quality. It prevents you from feeling heavy after eating the pizza. We had a classic Margherita and loved it.
