22/05/2025: Wonderful little cafe that is also a grocery store. They made us a fantastic mortadella mozzarella sandwich. Very nice service. If you are passing by and are hungry, go in.

24/08/2025: The place is on top / side of the hill and the terrace offers a view onto Florence in the distance. We came for dinner in August but the terrace was not open / served. The food was a little disappointing as we head good things. All we ordered was pre-prepared and came very quickly. The Peposo del Milione was dry. The deserts however were delicious. (Pre-preparation does no harm here) Waiters we're not unfriendly but not very attentive.

24/08/2025: I was disappointed to receive mayonnaise and ketchup in containers at McDonald's along with the burger, which on the menu was offered with its own sauces. I thought I was getting sauces made by you in containers like little cups placed on the plate, and not brought and placed on the table. Also to enhance the meat, which was good. Too bad.

14/06/2025: Nice and cozy restaurant, good and honest food, verry affordable. Steak Florentine was extremely tender.

04/06/2025: The food and prices are very good. The staff is friendly and dog-friendly. The lasagna, insalata mista, and Tuscan pudding are delicious.

22/07/2025: Friendliness, cordiality, and helpfulness, all in one word: the host in the square. We stopped by chance and it was a discovery. The first courses were fabulous. The wine was amazing, the cantuccini were delicious. We'll be back if we're in the area. Thank you so much. You do a wonderful job.

15/08/2025: We had the Frittura alla Marina di Grassina (squid, shrimp, and vegetables in tempura batter) and it was delicious! We've been thinking about it all week. You sit outside in a cozy little garden that's accessible from inside; you'd never expect that from the outside. The service is excellent and the food fantastic. Unfortunately, we had to leave quickly, but I'll definitely be back!

08/08/2025: We had a super fresh tuna tartare to start, followed by two pastas: the lemon cream shrimp tagliatelle was outstanding, while the tomato spaghetti was a bit too oily but still tasty. The tomatoes in all dishes were excellent. Dessert was a tiramisu served in a cute plant pot—great presentation and deliciously fluffy. Only downside: the portions were quite large, making it hard to finish everything. A smaller main option would be great. Also, the table bread was hard and a bit watery. We will remeber this place and in the future if we are near we won't hesitste to stop by.

29/08/2025: We made a reservation for 8:00 PM on August 28, 2025, and my husband, wife, and one child ate there. The T-bone steak (medium) we ordered that day was excellent, and the bread, starter, salad, and potatoes were also satisfying. My child enjoyed it, and it was by far the best steak we had in Florence. All but one of the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. They explained the unfamiliar food culture to us and were attentive to our needs, which was greatly appreciated. The only disappointment was the chubby, short, round-faced woman who first ushered us to our table. She looked angry from the moment we entered. Her service was completely inconsistent with the restaurant's reputation and atmosphere. Her English pronunciation was impeccable, and she spoke to us in a hurried manner. I even saw her rudely throwing plates at our 11-year-old. It was a fun family trip, so it didn't cause any problems, but it left us feeling very uneasy, and my wife couldn't eat much of the food because of it. If you see this review, please pass it on to the staff. As adults, especially in the service industry, your feelings shouldn't be your attitude. I hope you mature enough to be worthy of a fine restaurant.

15/07/2025: A wonderful ice cream shop with a wide selection of flavors. The best ice cream shop within a 5-kilometer radius, very clean, and the owners are always ready to please. We definitely have to go back.

31/08/2025: Visited in March 2013 - On Via dei Tavolini, Cantinetta dei Verrazzano combines bakery, wine bar, and café. One entrance greets you with a glass counter stacked with fresh focacce, pastries, and breads, baked on-site in the forno at the back. A second room offers marble-topped tables beside a charcuterie kitchen and shelves of Castello di Verrazzano wines. At lunchtime, Florentines streamed in for takeaway while I waited for a table. The crostini selezione mixed cured meats with thoughtful garnishes (7.5/10), while a salumi di cinghiale plate showed firmer, gamier flavours (7/10). Dessert was the standout - a pear and dark chocolate tart with pistachio: perfectly judged and unforgettable (10/10). Espresso from the vintage machine closed the meal on a bold, well-balanced note. A polished showcase of the Greve estate in the city centre.

26/08/2025: Excellent cakes and pastries with something for everyone - all tasty and very reasonably priced! The interiors are classic and it feels like a special but relaxed place to sit, staff are all very friendly.

05/08/2025: I was really disappointed. I was there around 3:00 PM. The service was quick, and the stomach was quite large (I know it chopped up smaller). It was very tough and flavorless. I didn't taste much of the pesto or chili either. I threw the meat away and just ate the bun. €6 🥴
