21/06/2025: A place with a unique view and vibe. Very good food and drinks. The pool is great, too!

20/06/2025: I stayed here for 5 days for a conference. This hotel claims to be an upscale hotel but it's not. First they gave me a room in the square above the art workshop, which means I had to drag my heavy suitcase above tiny narrow stone steps multiple times. There was no elevator and the stairs were so narrow that I had to go sideways. Next the walls are paper-thin. The person in the room next to me was having a normal conversation and I could hear everything. The windows don't have any shades and you can't close the shutter. Which means I was kept awake all night due to the light coming from the light bulbs outside. I could also hear any conversation that was happening on the square as the windows are single panel and filter no sounds. Also it was super hot and humid in June when I stayed here. So everyday I would sweat through 2-3 pairs of clothing. However they had no laundry service for the week I was there. I had to resort to washing my clothes in the sink with water and drying them over the shower. Lastly the place is super remote which might be a plus for some people. However, when my flight from Florence was canceled I couldn't book something immediately because I had to figure out the logistics of going anywhere from this hotel. So if you like your creature comforts, and get a good night's sleep, I will not recommend this hotel.

19/08/2025: Very nice, was quite busy by around 8pm on a Monday which I take as a good sign. Food was very good and came to €70 for 2 courses for 3 people, including a half carafe of wine

16/07/2025: I was staying near Lucca, and like always, I relied on Google reviews to find a trattoria, and I immediately found the right place: Trattoria da Bigio. The main menu is seafood (just what I was looking for). Excellent!!! Seafood carbonara and then fried fish, accompanied by a good house wine. Excellent dishes, very attractive prices, wonderful hospitality. Definitely a place I will return to for an excellent dinner!!! Compliments to everyone, including the Chef!!!!

06/06/2025: Found by chance reading the reviews on Google, we went to this restaurant one evening in a group of seven people. The place is very welcoming, furnished with various objects and posters of various films, typically tavern with wicker chairs. The waiter was very helpful, he accommodated our requests by letting us taste many dishes and courses, since we couldn't decide. Very good appetizers, exceptional first courses, especially the seafood carbonara, it was all really very good, excellent quality and excellent preparation. In the end we were all speechless, when he presented us the bill, we thought he had made a mistake, really excellent quality/price ratio! Thank you very much for the beautiful evening, keep it up!

11/07/2025: This was the third time staying a week at the Hotel Lungarno Florence, we were fortunate to get a room with a balcony and loved sitting outside after dinner for coffee and dessert. The Lungarno is the most Magnificent Hotel in all of Florence, one block to the Ponte Vecchio, convenient to everything, within walking distance to the Duomo, Michael Angelo's David and even a Laundry a half block away. The Rooms are quite large and beds are extremely comfortable, The towels are plush, the sheets feel like Egyptian Cotton, the Shampoos and Conditioners provided are top brands. It is apparent that the hotel staff takes great pride in the care and upkeep of the hotel and that Management spares no expense to accommodate their guests. The Staff graciously assisted with opening my wife's luggage (the lock was tampered with by ITA airline staff which jammed something into the lock to try to pry it open but failed). The Breakfast Buffet included all of our favorites dishes and drinks including fresh squeezed Blood Orange Juice and was enough to carry us through the days of climbing the Duomo Tower, visiting museums and touring the city. The Hotel is 5 star, the hotel staff are professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. We did not feel like guests of the hotel, we felt like we were part of their family.

18/06/2025: Very unfriendly staff, I stopped to have a rest and catch up on some emails and was asked to leave after 30 minutes even though the bar was half empty. The guests next to me were also told in a rude way that they couldn’t move seats even though there were a lot of free tables - if you want to feel welcomed please don’t visit here

07/07/2025: Very nice place, ideal for an easy aperitif. Easily accessible, perhaps a little problematic parking, however the place was a nice discovery.

22/06/2025: Nice place a stone's throw from the center in a small street with a few outdoor tables. Noteworthy service, punctual, efficient and prepared. Beef tartar good and served in a nice shovel. Good appetizers and a wide selection of pizzas with authentic and thin dough to choose from. Excellent draft beers. Chocolates with fresh fruit and cannolo tiramisu are truly worth trying. Fair quality and price. Nice place to spend a pleasant evening.

26/04/2025: A nice discovery, I've had pizza more than once and the quality is really high. A pizza that winks at innovation, with varieties never seen before. Friendly and welcoming staff, the wait is often a bit long, even when the place isn't totally full. Prices in line with traditional varieties, a little above average for gourmet ones. But it deserves it.

09/09/2025: I bought a cake for a birthday; since I was in another region, we arranged everything over the phone. I must say they were very kind and accommodated me, even with the remote payment. The cake was beautiful and delicious. The price was fair for the service received. They received compliments from all the guests. I thank the owners again and recommend this pastry shop.

28/08/2025: Chocolate croissant, chocolate cake, and two teas: €4 in total! Fast service and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

19/08/2025: It used to be a party bar, but lately it was run by some truly horrifying people. They were heavily tattooed, definitely high on heavy drugs, and they'd stare at you blankly while you waited there to order even just a coffee. Well, after two years I returned, and I have to say it's changed radically. In a positive way. Nice atmosphere, with staff at the counter finally worthy of being behind a bar. And a welcoming place for dinners and aperitifs, with outdoor space.

15/08/2025: I was there about half an hour ago, and I ordered a Pina Spritz. The girl there used way too much strawberry syrup. When I pointed this out, she said "impossible." Literally, only the syrup reached the glass line. She forgot to add some ingredients, either out of inexperience (in fact, she was reading while making the cocktail). The prosecco was decidedly low-quality. Never again.

18/04/2025: Luogo intimo e pulito, curato nel dettaglio anche se da fuori non si direbbe. Abbiamo chiesto delle opzioni vegane che sono state subito accolte con ricette originali srilankesi molto buone, ben presentate, e moderatamente speziate. I titolari super carini e accoglienti, all'ingresso ci siamo messe a ballare al suono della musica (era il mio compleanno ed erevamo le uniche clienti in sala). Al dolce (buonissimo e sempre cingalese) ci hanno spento le luci e aiutato con le candele. Scelta bevande da rivedere (sopratutto la lista dei vini) sia nell'offerta che nel prezzo. Consigliato per occasioni speciali!

31/08/2025: A sure thing if you want a good Neapolitan pizza. It's a shame, though, that over the years this place has gone downhill: management, wait times, and wait staff (who took orders without pen and paper and obviously got our order wrong). We ordered two pizzas and two croquettes for an appetizer. After 30 minutes, my pizza arrived, and after another 10, my partner's (let me start by saying the place was half-empty). The croquettes were brought to us only after I urged the waitress, and what's more, one piece was missing. When it came time for the bill, partly to make up for the various oversights, we were offered a limoncello that had never even seen a lemon tree from afar. Honestly, when Roberto or Raffaele were running the place, these things never happened, and so I think that after 10 years as your customer, the time has come for a change... what a shame.

21/08/2025: Nice place inside. Very friendly waitresses. The free appetizer is delicious! They have pizzas with whole wheat dough or with ancient seeds, gluten-free, and multi-grain gluten-free options for an additional €2. Vegan and lactose-free mozzarella is also available for an additional €2. A place open to all needs and tastes!
