A wonderful restaurant for our first night in Florence. Excellent service by witty, knowledgeable staff. A lovely array of dishes especially the pici (thick) pasta and medium-rare beef slices with mushrooms. Florentine beef is usually served rare although medium-rare is acceptable. Please do not ask for well done. We arrived as walk-ins about 8pm to a mostly empty restaurant, although quite full by 9pm. We washed down our meal with a bottle of local vino Rosso. A wonderful evening. I found it good value. About €40 each for the food component.

Our soup was a slightly salty mushroom soup, and we ate lasagna. The bread was served with ketchup, which was really delicious – the ketchup had real chunks and was cooked to perfection! It's also great for dipping other dishes; it was really wonderful!

Really nice place to eat in Florence. We had the two risottos on the menu and they were superb. We loved the decor, tableware and the chairs were very comfortable. Staff were amiable and professional. Prices not too high given the quality of the cuisine. Would highly recommend.

25/06/2026: The mussels were so delicious! The tomato soup with bread was amazing! The owner, Marco, was super friendly! Both the red and white wines were great! If you're looking for good food, you have to come here!
19/06/2026: What can I say? As a Florentine, I can tell you that this is one of the places where you can eat good fish in Florence, and if I look at the quality/price ratio, it's definitely the best.
