Excellent fish shop and restaurant! Found it by accident, we had an excellent lunch with creations from fresh local seafood.

An excellent restaurant serving generous and tasty seafood dishes. The hostess is kind and extremely helpful, attentive to every guest's needs throughout the entire service. In short, you're pampered from the moment you arrive until you leave! The atmosphere is refined and intimate. Ideal for those who don't like crowded places. The "spadellata del capitano" (captain's stew) is highly recommended, and I still get compliments on it. It's literally a pan full of mussels, clams, shrimp, and calamari, served with warm bread to mop up the remaining fish broth. Exceptional! Very reasonable prices considering the quality, portions, and the fact that it's fish. Truly excellent! I'll definitely be back.

I think Costa Azzurra is the best seafood restaurant in Pontedera. Everything is excellent in a charming and well-appointed setting, not too large so it's not chaotic. All the dishes are excellent: I recommend the drunken arancine, the tuna calamarata, and the fried shrimp and squid, which is truly delicious: crispy, flavorful, and the fish is tender. The tartare is excellent, of excellent quality. The owner is lovely and very kind. For an unforgettable evening of seafood, beautifully cooked and at a great price.
