10/08/2024: Ended up here by chance at 12 o'clock in the evening. All in all, we didn't expect much for €5-6 per pizza but it was really good.

07/08/2024: Highly recommended pizzeria. It is located right in front of the cathedral and therefore you eat with a beautiful view. There are many pizzas on the menu whose quality is excellent. Some can easily be modified to have a vegan pizza. The hot appetizer is also highly recommended.

16/08/2024: We often find ourselves dining in this pizzeria, so much so that we have become friends with the owners who are truly delightful people. They are very friendly and helpful and always want to make a good impression with impeccable service and offering good products, I love how they make fried chicken, Schiacciata with porchetta and bruschettone. Then going there is like being with family, you feel loved and pampered. All the time!

20/09/2023: During our stay in Cefalu we had the pleasure of stumbling upon this somewhat hidden gem of a restaurant. You dine in Michelangelo's private place. Space is therefore naturally limited (perhaps 12 people at most; We four were the only guests that evening), so it is essential to book in advance (also for planning purposes, of course). I really can't understand any bad review from someone who didn't book in advance and therefore gave it one star. That is simply disrespectful. Michelangelo speaks English, so communication over the phone for the reservation and at his place was easy and very friendly. Most importantly, the food was excellent. Because of his experience as a chef, Michelangelo combines Italian dishes with Asian or Latin American influences. During our two weeks in Sicily, we went daily to a good restaurant, but Michelangelo's food was one of the best culinary experiences we had there. It was a welcome change from the also good but admittedly a bit one-dimensional cuisine of many other restaurants there. Considering also the prices in other restaurants, the quality (and quantity) of what you get for what you pay is very good. We would highly recommend trying his place. You will not regret it. 16/09/2023: Absolutely unique and wonderful experience. Michelangelo is an amazing host and cook, who serves you a wonderful dinner in an equally wonderful setting. If you are in the neighborhood, you cannot miss out on this restaurant. Just make sure to make a reservation as spots are quite limited.

21/08/2024: Excellent pizzeria from all points of view, friendliness and promptness but the pizza continued to rise in my stomach and I was bent over for two days.

19/08/2024: The pizzas and starters were good and deserved a 4* or even 4*+ but a limited choice of drinks and above all disastrous service (super slow, not a smile and coffee served in plastic cups) weighed down the bill. 4 for food and 0 for service = average of 2.

15/07/2024: Very rustic environment (a little confusing) which hides genuine, plentiful and tasty dishes with excellent quality/price ratio and great friendliness of the staff. A guarantee to return to.

My wife spent a year waiting to come back here to eat... so in 10 days here we were choosing the castle as the destination for our dinners 3 times. Super top as always, from the staff to the kitchen... Thank you for the effort you put in and who knows, maybe the hat-trick will be repeated next year Sage

27/08/2024: The pistachio tiramisu was nice tasting, but it gave me very bad food poisoning. I know it was this because my partner and I ate the same thing the entire day other than this and I was the only person to get sick. I expect that the food had not been stored properly in the fridge.

24/08/2024: The food was delicious and their tiramisu is homemade and the best I've had in Sicily. The place is so picturesque and peaceful that it makes you feel like you are part of the scenery. The staff is amazing, kind, attentive and happy. It looks like a family business, if I'm not mistaken.

06/08/2024: Small cute shop, the ice cream and granitas taste very tasty and the owner was very friendly to us! The perfect shop for an ice cream in the center of Palermo.

23/08/2024: We only had drinks but I looked at the plates of cold cuts and cheese- and they are cut when you order them. That is a good sign. The atmosphere is wonderful and the waiters are so nice and quick. The prices are great. We had a great time ❤️

20/08/2024: Pity to leave a review like this. Only giving 2 stara because of the atmosphere. We were attracted to this bar every time we passed as it was always so busy. Looking at the other reviews, we are so sad that we had a negative experience as it seems like a fantastic bar. We visited Palermo last year and they were too busy the one time we stopped by so could not sit in. Visiting Palermo again, we noticed a free table and sat down. After a couple of minutes of looking at the menu, the waiter moved us to sit a table of 3 locals. I noticed another couple were also moved (with their drinks) to accommodate locals. Fair enough, it is good to make space for people when you can however we were disappointed to be moved to a tiny table in the far corner. I cannot comment on the quality of food or drinks as we did not actually get served anything. After we were moved, we waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order. The waiter took the order from the 3 locals who sat at our original table, 15 minutes later another waiter brought out their drinks and we were still waiting for someone to take our order. No one even looked in our direction. We felt like we deliberately ignored. It is a shame because we would love to give this place another chance but it ruined our evening in all honesty.
