It was very delicious! My first time eating Afghan food and I enjoyed it a lot. Very pleasant surprise. The owner was also very friendly and made us feel comfortable right away.

One of the best experiences in Sicily; the owner is super helpful and modest. Ashak, bolani, couscous, and fantastic green tea :] A few minutes after we finished, about a dozen of Italians went there, which is a great recommendation if local folks eat there as well :]

The traditional Afghan dishes are delicious! The ghormeh sabzi is not really what we typically know as ghormeh sabzi, so I wouldn’t recommend it. However all the afghan dishes we ordered, bulani, eggplant, and kabuli were delicious!

One of the best way to experiment Palermo is to visit Shapoor restaurant. It's not just a simple restaurant, it's an institution in Ballarò. Excellent food, Afghan, Italian. And an incredible Vibe

13/04/2026: A truly unforgettable evening. The food was absolutely top-notch, incredibly creative, and a visual highlight as well. A huge compliment goes to the sommelier: the wines were perfectly paired with each course, and you could really tell how much knowledge and passion he has. That's what made the evening so special for us. The service and ambiance were also excellent. Anyone looking for a truly great meal in Palermo should definitely go here.
