22/04/2026: Excellent bottle shop with a well curated list of wines, or if you are into craft or European beers this is a must stop spot. I bought a small bottle on Cantillon to drink onsite, and bought a large bottle to take home to the US. I will definitely be back to stock up next time im in Palermo!

12/04/2026: A very friendly welcome, an extensive menu of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails. Delicious charcuterie and vegetable platters, all at a very reasonable price.

16/05/2026: I ate at this seafood restaurant and it was truly a wonderful experience. Carefully prepared dishes, unique yet balanced flavors, and incredibly fresh fish. The appetizers were fantastic, especially the marinated sea bass: delicate, fresh, and full of flavor. The first course, the fisiddo with sea bass, made even more special by the orange-flavored breadcrumbs, which gave the dish a unique and delicious flavor. The swordfish rolls with pine nuts were also excellent, flavorful and perfectly cooked. You can sense the attention to detail in both the quality of the ingredients and the presentation of the dishes. Friendly service and a very pleasant atmosphere. A place I would definitely return to and recommend to anyone who loves well-prepared seafood.

07/05/2026: I don't like crowds, so we found this place not far from the bustling Via Maquena. The sandwiches were truly appetizing just looking at them, but we opted for a lighter option, but we weren't disappointed at all. Nice place, tastefully decorated, friendly staff, and good food.

The quality of the Sicilian ingredients is evident and truly makes a difference. ​What we ate ​The menu is a triumph of revisited local flavors. Here's our verdict: ​The Sandwiches: We tried the burger, and the meat was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The bread is fragrant and holds the toppings well. ​The Pizzas: We ordered several variations, and they all received top marks. Light dough and generous toppings with top-quality ingredients. ​The Service ​Unfortunately, while the culinary side shines, the service had some issues during our evening: ​Slowness: The wait was a bit longer than expected. ​Overlooked: There was a small oversight in the order; one of the sandwiches was forgotten and only arrived after we reported it again to the staff. If you're looking for a high-end gastronomic experience that showcases Sicily, FUD is a guarantee. We'll definitely be back for the food, hoping for smoother table management!

11/06/2026: The lasagna I ordered was awful. The meat was tasteless. The pasta was undercooked and half-raw. No béchamel sauce between the layers. The food was useless. A waste of money. I do not recommend it.

09/05/2026: Our last dinner in Palermo was at this restaurant/pizzeria behind Piazza Politeama. Despite not having booked, and despite the fact that the place is truly huge, we were lucky enough to find a table outside, and I must say it was perfect. Fast service, truly delicious pizzas, and prices way below the "mainland" average. Definitely worth a try.

08/05/2026: I order a "mortadella and burrata" from the menu. I ask if the burrata can be replaced with buffalo mozzarella. The waiter nods. The final bill surprises me: the "mortadella and burrata" pizza costs €14 + buffalo mozzarella €5.50. I get up, pay, and leave. I don't think I'll be back. Pizza: 7 Transparency and fairness: 2

07/06/2026: There were four of us in Castelbuono for the flower festival. We booked at Cycas after reading the reviews. It's not our first time in Castelbuono, but we'd never been to this restaurant before. It was a perfect choice... We were greeted very warmly and guided through our choices. We ordered an appetizer for two, but we split it between the four of us, and I must say we were right because we enjoyed the rest of the meal that way. Then we had two first courses, two second courses, and finally two desserts. Everything was truly excellent. The price was commensurate with the quality. We'll be back.

07/06/2026: Great experience! It’s the second time I come and it definitely lived up to expectations. I had the same meals as the previous time three years ago (squid ink pasta, seafood pasta with pistachio and grilled octopus) and they were just as good. They have a nice terrace hidden away from the main road. The service is also good. I’ll definitely come back again

08/04/2026: After a long time, I stopped by this magical place again on Sunday, where I was once again enchanted by their special IRIS, just like when I was a child. Delicious, fresh, crunchy, and infinitely delicate, highly recommended and never disappointing, always warm and bursting with ricotta, with that contrasting flavor of chocolate chips. In short, a delight to eat right near the Monreale Cathedral. For me, this is the best, indeed, the true ORIGINAL IRISI.

04/06/2026: If you want to try fruit similar to Gedric Grolet's, this is definitely the place to go. The craftsmanship and taste are truly superb! And it comes at a price. I paid €11.50 for two pieces.
