17/03/2026: Two of us ate here. The food was excellent and high-quality, but compared to many other sushi restaurants in the area, I found two major flaws: first, the menu, which is confusing in its selection of dishes and fails to clarify the price or the AYCE regulations, including the various restrictions. I also found the variety of rolls and sushi limited, but that's acceptable in this context. The AYCE menu costs €30, which is generally in line with a carefully selected sushi restaurant like this. However, given the slightly higher price than a typical all-you-can-eat restaurant, I found the restriction on raw fish to be excessive: you can actually only order three raw fish dishes IN TOTAL per person (where "raw fish" includes gunkan, a restriction I can't explain since they contain rice and are just as filling as rolls). This prevented us from enjoying sashimi, tartare, and other options, and generally offering a variety of options. My customer advice is to review this limit, adapting it to the average: limit a single dish to 3-4 orders, not an entire category! This way, you rightly limit overeating and the potential waste of high-quality raw food, while leaving more room and freedom for the customer. It's honestly a detail that, especially given the high price (plus a whopping €2 cover charge), left us with a bitter taste. For €70 for two, we would have eaten a larger quantity of raw food at a seafood restaurant. Overall, the service was friendly and prompt, although, given the restaurant was full, we weren't able to place a second order, despite asking the staff four or five times. After more than 40 minutes of waiting, we decided to simply leave. Furthermore, no one explained or asked us if we knew how it worked (again, referring to the limitations, rules, and pricing of AYCE, which we know vary slightly from restaurant to restaurant). In conclusion, everything was delicious, but these aspects related to customer service could be improved, which unfortunately will make us choose other restaurants from now on. 01/03/2026: A charming little pizzeria tucked away on a street corner, the pizzas are delicious and inexpensive, and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it! They have a separate dining area where you can eat indoors, as well as a small terrace. A truly local and family-run atmosphere – a real gem.

18/01/2026: A fast food restaurant unlike any other. Located in the alleys of the historic center, it offers a wide selection of delicacies as well as a thousand other delicacies. Family-run, the staff is friendly and efficient.

27/12/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance, without a reservation, one day during the Christmas holidays. We'd heard good things about it, and it deserved its reputation: we had excellent raw seafood (compliments to the accompanying sauces), a first course (tagliolini spunsale and anchovy colatura), a second course (sea bass with chard cream), and two desserts. Everything was delicious! It must be said: the price isn't cheap. The service was truly friendly, both to us and to our dog. I recommend it for a special occasion.

09/11/2025: We had an amazing lunch here.. my wife had pasta and I ate a steak (not a favorite fan of seafood), and everything was delicious.. the city, the atmosphere, and this restaurant are all related.. great place, fair prices.. definitely worth it

09/10/2025: You can taste the authenticity of the ingredients used, the fresh and light dough. Five of us dined, ordering two pucce, two piadinas, and a pizza. Everything was delicious, generously filled and incredibly light. There's limited seating and only outdoor seating, but the service is quick, and it's beautiful to dine outside on Gallipoli's main street, enjoying the summer sunset. We'll definitely be back at the first opportunity.

08/10/2025: An absolute highlight. A very inconspicuous shop. It has a total of four tables for seating. But the sandwiches are fantastic. This is especially thanks to the freshly baked bread, which comes warm from the oven. We got the traditional sandwich to go. Five minutes later, we had to go back for a second one. Truly delicious!

08/03/2026: The atmosphere was very nice, the staff equally friendly. The service was very fast and the pizza was delicious. What's not to be underestimated, at least for me, was the cleanliness: the bathroom was sparkling!

15/02/2026: What a mess! Customers packed like sardines at tiny tables where there's not even room for plates. The pizzas arrive while you're eating your appetizers, and for them everything is normal. The pizzas with hard, inedible dough are sent back, and the annoyed and rude waiter defends the indefensible!! Disgusting as it gets.

14/03/2026: Business stay. The property is not new, though it has been pleasantly renovated and, above all, spotlessly clean. The common areas also smell nice. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and a generously sized bathroom with a new shower. The hotel also features a very active conference center. The attentive management is evident. The breakfast is truly top-notch. Absolute value for money. Also worth considering for leisure travelers; it's reasonably priced, offers high-quality services, and is easy to get around the city, towns, or beaches.

30/12/2025: It's not pleasant to eat outside, even with the heat lamps on. It wasn't terrible, but it's not nice to dine with a jacket on. Pizza is amazing!!

28/12/2025: You know that ad that says, "Make Love with Flavor"? Well, that's exactly what happens here. Flavors blend together with different textures, taste and smell fully satisfied. The December 7th pizza might seem like a simple tuna and onion, but it's actually a true sensory masterpiece. Tuna fillets, caramelized onions, crunchy crumbles. This is just one example. You can choose from a variety of doughs. The desserts are no exception. Very unique. The place is full of atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful. Reservations are required, with entry and exit times to be respected.

08/03/2026: Excellent seafood. The local red fish stuffed with tomatoes, olives and potatoes was amazing. Also the shellfish soup was a garlicky and buttery treat. The timing of all the courses was perfect. 2 1/2 hrs of leisurely goodness.

14/03/2026: The restaurant is well-kept, especially in the training area, and clean, even down to the bathroom. It has a small entrance hall with 78 tables, and then there's the upper section, which we couldn't visit because there were no seats. The restaurant is located on the seafront, so the view is very nice. We have a very limited menu with very few dishes, as they focus on choosing the freshest fish for their dishes, whether first or second courses. Although it might be very tempting, considering that a simple plate with two seafood dishes costs €25, imagine how much a fish dish made with fish chosen at the counter could cost. I understand that quality comes at a price, as does service, but paying €25 for 80g of pasta is really too much. The food menu didn't include any appetizers, and it was also made up of two sheets of paper. The wine list, however, was different, consisting of perhaps ten sheets of paper with wines. The cheapest wine was €25. Furthermore, while the waiters' service was impeccable, truly kind and attentive, not only am I not happy that I ended up paying €38 for a first course and two glasses of wine, but the worst part is, as you can see from the photos, that the plates are chipped, which definitely doesn't create a sense of atmosphere. To pay €25 for two spaghetti, I'd at least want the gold plate instead of the chipped one from the sideboard. I'd focus more on lowering costs and, above all, creating first courses to offer people, without them having to rack their brains trying to figure out what to make online with the catch of the day. I think it's very important to advise people who aren't familiar with fish or even go to a restaurant to avoid worrying about what to eat. They could offer specials of the day that might perhaps entice people to order a different first or second course, but leaving the menu open with the catch of the day seems a bit too much to me. The fact is, the quality, though poor for €25, was good. Obviously, I won't be returning. It's not about money, it's about waste and excess.

11/03/2026: Lunch with friends. I'll start by saying that the occasion was a birthday party, and it was held in the upper room overlooking the sea, accessible via a somewhat steep staircase, but equipped with a safety rope. The atmosphere is informal, decorated in a nautical style, and features a large dining room with an open-plan oven and bakery. The fish and shellfish menu is excellent. Service is fast, friendly, and attentive to guests' needs. Good value. A wonderful experience, definitely worth repeating! P.S.: You can purchase freshly baked bread from the excellent baker.

02/12/2025: The best dinner I've had in Castro. A decidedly superior level and a different offering than usual. The appetizer mix was EXTRATERRESTRIAL: when I show photos of dishes I've eaten in Puglia, I almost always choose these. Innovative venue, elegant and clean service. The manager is knowledgeable, welcoming, and guided us with professionalism and a smile throughout. Prices in line with the quality of the experience. If I were to return to Castro, I would definitely come back here.

09/02/2026: We went to this really cute little place for lunch on a Saturday. The menu is definitely unique and interesting. The menu features a lot of meat. We had a truly excellent first course, linguine with lemon calamari, and a second course of meat, pork ribs with a sauce, equally delicious. As a welcome, they served a wine, vegetables (excellent!), focaccia barese, and fried bread. Perhaps a little too much bread. The atmosphere is truly refined, yet rustic. I just felt the welcome was a little sterile. I would gladly return!

17/01/2026: Truly a magnificent place in the pure countryside, with meticulously maintained interiors. My only regret is that, going in the evening, I couldn't admire all the surrounding beauty in daylight. Although on a beautiful winter evening, the countryside has a sacred charm. A prestigious wine cellar with excellent local wines. The cuisine: excellent from the first course to the last. The textures of the food, the balance of flavors, all the result of an undoubtedly expert hand. The staff is generally professional and highly trained, without being invasive. One of the few places where you can enjoy unusual yet genuine dishes, in a refined yet authentic setting. We will definitely return.
