30/07/2024: I ordered a kit to make gin and tonic at home (bottle of gin, tonic water, measuring cup). Everything arrived quickly and as agreed.

28/07/2024: I used a Smartbox gift box to purchase wines at Aroma Winebar & Enoteca to be delivered to my home (it was another type of box, I replaced it because I couldn't find anything suitable for me from the original one). The manager was kind and, after we agreed, very fast in shipping. The wines are certainly not cheap but it is a gift, I will drink them to the health of whoever gave them to me.

16/08/2024: Un posto genuino trovato per caso. Tutto perfetto. Abbiamo cenato benissimo. Funghi fritti da antipasto. Ravioli buoni di primo ma soprattutto uno stoccafisso accomodato che mi ha fatto tornare indietro nel tempo, alla cucina di mia nonna. Dolci fatti bene, millefoglie allo zabaione ma che buona. Un buon gavi di un piccolo produttore due acque e caffè. 40 euro a teste. Penso a tanti posti che vorebbero ma non riescono. Perché nn cucinano più, fanno altro. Vale il viaggio

Cibo ottimo(di quello difficileda trovare se non lo cucini a casa tua!)scelta molto varia,personale molto simpatico, gentile e veloce.Dobbiamo assolutamente ritornare per assaggiare altri piatti(Certamente riprenderemo i ravioli anche se già assaggiati).Dolci fantastici!!! 16/07/2024: I was at the "Paladino" alone on a midweek evening, I had dinner inside the restaurant given the heat that hit Alessandria in a pleasant environment thanks to the air conditioning. The very nice owner offered me an appetizer of breaded anchovies, not on the menu, which turned out to be excellent and plentiful. I skipped the first course even though my throat was calling out for gnocchi or agnolotti to move straight to the second course, the main dish of the place: elephant ears. The ears are a huge breaded cutlet, with very tender, light and appetizing meat. Despite being an eater who leaves nothing on the plate this time I had to give up, halfway I said enough even though the desire to finish this tasty dish was there, but no problem the remaining part was packaged for me and the next day heated in a pan with a curl of butter it was as excellent as the night before. All washed down with a good loose wine, prosecco, but don't ask me the winery of origin which was announced to me but I didn't pay attention, a noteworthy fact that not everyone does was to bring the wine in a carafe in a basket of ice so the wine remained fresh for the entire duration of the meal. The dessert menu was very inviting but I didn't take advantage of it because the doctor banned me from sweets but given what was served at the nearby tables I struggled to resist the temptation. I concluded with a good coffee and paid the bill which was fair for the quality of the products offered. I conclude with another positive note: the environment where I was received, familiar but courteous in a place where the strong personality is immediately noticeable. Passed with flying colors!

16/07/2024: Sono stato al “Paladino” da solo in una serata infrasettimanale, ho cenato all’interno del locale vista la calura che ha colpito Alessandria in un ambiente gradevole grazie all’aria condizionata. Il simpaticissimo titolare mi ha proposto un antipastino di acciughe impanate, fuori menù, che sono risultate ottime e abbondanti. Ho saltato il primo piatto anche se la gola mi chiamava a forte voce gli gnocchi oppure gli agnolotti per passare direttamente al secondo, il piatto forte del locale: le orecchie d’elefante. Le orecchie sono un’enorme cotoletta impanata, con carne tenerissima, leggera e appetitosa. Pur essendo un mangiatore che non lascia nulla nel piatto questa volta mi sono dovuto arrendere, a metà strada ho detto basta anche se la voglia di finire questo gustosissimo piatto c’era, ma nessun problema la parte rimasta mi è stata impacchettata e il giorno dopo riscaldata in padella con un ricciolo di burro è risultata ottima come la sera prima. Il tutto innaffiato da un buon vinello sfuso, prosecco, ma non chiedetemi la cantina di provenienza che mi è stata annunciata ma non ho prestato attenzione, un fatto degna di nota che non tutti fanno è stata quella di portare il vino in caraffa in un cestello di ghiaccio cosi il vino si è mantenuto fresco per tutta la durata del pasto. La carta dei dolci era molto invitante ma non ne ho approfittato perché il medico mi ha vietato i dolciumi ma visto quello che veniva servito nei tavoli vicini ho fatto fatica a resistere alla tentazione. Ho concluso con un buon caffè e pagato il conto che per la qualità dei prodotti offerti è stato giusto. Concludo con un’altra nota positiva è l’ambiente dove sono stato ricevuto, familiare ma cortese in un locale in cui si nota subito la forte personalità. Promosso a pieni voti!

12/08/2024: Trained and kind staff. Excellent quality Neapolitan pizza, from the dough to the ingredients used. Whoever tries then returns. Also highly recommended because they have seating outside and don't send you away like other places.

25/08/2024: Abbiamo pranzato prendendo funghi fritti, (DIVINI) tagliolini ai funghi e ottimo sorbetto al melone fatto in casa. Noi abbia scelto tutto a base di funghi ma cerano piatti per tutti. Ottimo servizio e ottima materia prima, conglio a di provarlo. Vista strepitosa sulle colline e i vigneti. Eravamo di passaggio ma Speriamo riuscire a tornare. Complimenti!!!!

24/08/2024: Location immersa nel verde, locale curato ed atmosfera accogliente, dispone di dal interna ed esterna cucina con menù sempre diverso in base alla disponibilità delle materie prime giorno per giorno....le proposte sono molto gustose e curiosi ed azzeccati gli abbinamenti. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

05/08/2024: Really excellent farinata and pizza. Nice place, the only flaw... The scorching heat. I was with my husband, table in a room and not outside, broken air conditioner (so said the waitress) who instead of being on the customer's side is letting the owners know what's wrong... She actually said that she doesn't want to know nothing and pretends nothing happened... I don't think it's right... But.... Then there's no paper in the bathroom so you can't dry your hands... So in my opinion the food is excellent, but otherwise I wouldn't go back.

11/08/2024: A truly typical place, both in the menu and in the structure. To access the room, you have to go up the stairs where you are greeted by friendly and smiling staff. Clear environment with ancient details that warm the room. Fresh and local cuisine. The joke and the peach and amaretti cake with cream ice cream are excellent. The Infernot is truly evocative and special and can be visited for free. The girl who served us even gave us the recipe for her super cake!!!

01/09/2024: View from the restaurant overlooking the beautiful valley, menu with various tasting or à la carte formulas, characteristic Piedmontese, I would say everything is excellent, very kind and professional, the waiters are recommended

22/08/2024: First time at this restaurant in Cantavenna. We opted for a tasting menu and a Piedmontese mixed fried dish, very generous dishes and excellent quality. Absolutely coming back 👍🏻

13/08/2024: Avoid! The service is deplorable. Customers who arrived after us were served before. There were 4 of us, here is the photo of the bread that was served to us at the table, already started. The staff leaves in the middle of an order without giving an explanation, the same treatment was given to us when paying. Dish which was good but nothing more.

13/08/2024: Good food and good service! You can make a full menu or half a menu. The eggplant parmigiana dish was delicious. If we pass through Ovada again, we will repeat.

08/08/2024: Found by chance they treated us very well, we ate very well and I'm only sorry we weren't closer to go more often to taste everything on the menu!
