05/09/2025: We went to Como S. Giovanni and, reading reviews of ice cream shops in the area, we found this one. The place is small and the owner is very nice. The ice cream is... Delicious! I recommend it because it's homemade and the flavors are out of this world! There's a lot of it.

13/09/2025: Terrible experience. I cancelled well in advance due to illness, informing the hotel directly. Despite this, I was charged the full amount as if I had stayed. Disgraceful, dishonest, and absolutely unacceptable behavior. No understanding, no professionalism. I strongly advise anyone against booking this hotel.

28/08/2025: We accidentally booked this hotel for our half-board stay during our vacation in Como. It was a truly pleasant surprise. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything you need, and the location is ideal, just outside the city center yet strategically close to it. The owners, Cristina and Giovanni, are always attentive to guests' needs and available to provide information. The staff (Maddalena, Davide, Filippo, and Daniel) are friendly and professional, and the dishes are prepared with high-quality ingredients. Highly recommended.

20/09/2025: La Tirlindana is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful locations on the entire lake. That's why I went for dinner yesterday for the second time (within two years). You can tell by the clientele: there were no Italians there. This is simply because the dishes served would not satisfy an Italian palate. I then made the mistake of ordering things that were probably designed for people who are vegan and lactose intolerant. Quinoa in Italy, my own fault. But I had no idea until then that quinoa could be prepared so blandly. Thank goodness the balsamic vinegar and oil were good, and of course the wine too. My husband had fish, and unfortunately the pasta wasn't great either. So, unfortunately, the food is rather below average. The service was good. The clientele was 90% American, and the location, as I said, was sensational. What is the point of a restaurant? It's the food, hence the 3 stars.

17/08/2025: A very good quick lunch accompanied by a nice white Friulian wine. Centrally located in town. The quality and preparation of the dishes are excellent. Reliable and professional service. Parking nearby.

07/07/2025: El Prosecco estaba frío y generoso. El tinto de la casa era perfecto con la pizza Diavola, que estaba entre las mejores que he probado, picante pero no demasiado salada ni demasiado grasosa. La corteza también estaba en su punto justo. La pizza de rúcula y parmesano estaba igualmente deliciosa al igual que los rigatoni. Deseamos tener otra noche en Cernobbio para volver y saborear más de sus platos. Gracias Mille.

29/06/2025: Ieri ci siamo fermati alla paninoteca Aurora, sperando di gustare un pasto veloce ma soddisfacente. Abbiamo ordinato due panini da asporto con verdure grigliate, ma purtroppo l’esperienza è stata molto deludente oltreché onerosa (2 panini e 2 bottigliette d'acqua 27€!! ). Quando abbiamo aperto i panini dalla carta stagnola, ci siamo accorti che i tovaglioli di carta in cui avevano avvolto il pane si erano completamente appiccicati al formaggio fuso nel frattempo indurito e raffreddato rendendo i panini veramente immangiabili. Non solo il formaggio aveva impregnato la carta, ma aveva anche reso il pane unto e poco appetibile. Quando siamo tornati indietro per chiedere una soluzione o un cambio, la signora ha preso atto dell'"appiccicosità" dei panini, ha chiesto scusa e ci ha offerto un rimborso di max 10 euro🤔 quindi calcolando che le abbiamo lasciato lì il lauto pranzo, a conti fatti abbiamo pagato due bottigliette di acqua liscia 17 euro... Never but never again!!

11/10/2025: The sandwich was very good, and according to friends, the pizza was pretty good too. The place doesn't have much seating, but it's cozy and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The quality/price ratio is excellent!

02/10/2025: Lunch with work friends. We ordered 7 poke to go, and when we picked it up, they offered us focaccia and chocolate salami. The poke was very good, with a generous portion and fresh ingredients. The price was average. The menu was wide-ranging, and the focaccia was delicious, as was the dessert. A little tip: I'd add more ingredients to the poke. I recommend everyone go there or order from them!

05/10/2025: The one-star rating is because zero isn't possible. For €172, we had, in order: Dirty bathroom Stained blankets Television and remote control didn't work The icing on the cake...no heating in the rooms. To our complaints, the most hilarious responses were: Municipal ordinance prohibits lighting (radiators are on in the inn's bar). It takes time for the room to warm up. (Radiators never turned on). The inn is 2000 square meters, so I can't light it for everyone (in fact, everyone is cold). The inn is full, so that means it's fine (unspeakable). He entered our room wearing a sweater and jacket and exclaimed...perfect temperature. Conclusion...extra blankets for everyone. Breakfast was basic, apart from the lack of savory options. Terrible service, terrible location, and terrible value. Don't be lured by offers from Booking.com or other apps...it's a waste of money. Highly not recommended.

03/10/2025: We had such a lovely dinner here and it was the best way to end our trip! Raouf, the owner, had a wonderful disposition and welcomed us with open arms. The vibe was cozy and restaurant was clean and inviting. The food was excellent (we ordered branzino and pasta - 100% the best branzino we've ever had and the pasta was fantastic as well)! They also make a really excellent Limoncello in-house that we highly recommend trying! Raouf's service was above and beyond: There was someone servicing the building outside and we noticed Raouf kindly conversing with him and gifting him wine after the worker completed the job for the day. We ended up discovering Raouf's Restaurant and Hotel the last night of our vacation, but we will absolutely be returning to stay here at his hotel and dine at the restaurant the next time we visit the Como, Italy area again!

13/07/2025: The place is very pleasant and welcoming. We had the Neapolitan pizza with a crust, tasty and crispy. For dessert, a cheesecake with currants, a generous portion. The prices are more than fair. I would gladly return.

15/08/2025: An absolute must if you're in the area. We received a very warm welcome and excellent advice, even though we're not really wine connoisseurs. The food is exquisite, prepared with fresh ingredients and lovingly presented. We'll be back.
