22/03/2025: One of the most picturesque locations on the first basin of Lake Como. It is also a grocery store so quality food, the atmosphere is informal and easy, ideal for lunch or aperitif. Directly overlooking the lake it offers a spectacular view. I love it

09/03/2025: Siamo stati ospiti per la prima volta di Materia. Una stella michelin a Cernobbio sul lago di Como. Il progetto di chef Caranchini é davvero interessante. Cucina coraggiosa, alimentata da curiosità. Piatti bilanciati e consapevoli. Azzardi ben giocati e nella maggior parte dei casi convincenti. Ambiente giovane e informale, servizio mai invadente e sorridente. Location minimal e accogliente. Noi facciamo alcune scelte dalla carta. Partiamo con una trota sott’aceto con uova di lago affumicate, rafano ed aneto: partenza convincente e decisa. Proseguiamo con un risotto al burro affumicato, betulla e oliveto spinoso ed una Linguina, burro garum di agone e amchoor. Due piatti diametralmente opposti… si fatica a credere che due concetti così distanti di gusto arrivino dalla stessa cucina. Il risotto delicatissimo mentre la linguina spregiudicata e spinta. Ottimi entrambi. Scegliamo poi 2 portate principali: uno é un capolavoro l’altro é quello che in tutto il percorso ci ha convinto meno. Rispettivamente parliamo del piccione che servito in 2 tempi e declinato in parecchie versioni é davvero una portata perfetta, mentre la Rana pescatrice con cavolfiore, besciamelle al cocco e arachidi per quanto sia un ottimo piatto é a nostro modesto parere migliorabile. La parte croccante data delle nocciole é necessaria ma forse eccessiva e rischia di predominare su tutto il resto. La consistenza del pesce però é perfetta. Comunque bel piatto. Chiudiamo con 2 dessert di grande fattura. Goloso “ricordo di un viaggio in Colombia” che per gli amanti del cioccolato é un toccasana, mentre davvero coraggioso e riuscitissimo “Midollo e zafferano”, celebrazione dolce di un risotto in gramolata . Bella panificazione e accattivante la piccola pasticceria. Materia ci ha convinto e la cucina di chef Caranchini ci piace. E’ giovane come lui…. dove per giovane intendiamo curiosa, spregiudicata e accattivante . Da riprovare assolutamente !!!!!! Bravi.

04/03/2025: I didn't think I'd find so much inventiveness and quality in the combination of flavors that blend perfectly without one prevailing over the other. It was a gift voucher: very much appreciated and the Michelin star has nothing to do with it...if anything I wouldn't be surprised to see two, maybe when the location is adequate. Unfortunately Cernobbio doesn't offer many solutions in this sense,...we'll see. The chef and his team deserve our compliments and unconditional support

13/04/2025: Beautiful villa with a beautiful garden. At the end of March, not much was in bloom yet... except for the pansies, which aren't exactly what you come here for... and the camellias. Some nice photos (but not the typical Lario Instagram photos). Very crowded during peak season, on weekends, and with lots of groups. The €15 entrance fee is certainly well spent for garden lovers. Included in the Lombardy Museum subscription.

05/10/2024: A crotto that I always gladly return to, the welcome and kindness is a winning card!!! Very good food, fish is their specialty. The meat is good and the pizzas are very good. Our mascots are always welcome!!! Their digestive offered with almonds is very welcome!!!

29/03/2025: I had dinner with my family, 6 people. Quick and very friendly service as well as competent. Typical Sicilian dishes, highly recommended especially if you want fish.

08/03/2025: Absolutely recommended. Delicious ice cream, friendly service and a nostalgic atmosphere with modern technology. The ice is in cylindrical refrigerated containers, you can't see it. There is parking and easy seating in front of the Gelatteria. You can walk to the lake in a minute.

20/02/2025: We had lunch in this magnificent restaurant, excellent quality of food, lake fish treated, cooked and presented with magnificence; a missoltino and polenta that made us dream! Fantastic service. Excellent quality wine. It is possible to arrive directly by boat from Como, otherwise 300 steps! We will be back!

04/11/2024: Unique location. Few typical local dishes are eaten, but they are good. For those who have walking problems I do not recommend it because you have to climb a lot of steps to get there.

18/02/2025: Nice family-run pizza restaurant, good pizzas especially the classic ones, quality ingredients on the palate and fast service, the place is welcoming and home-made, in the evening you can even find parking nearby with a little patience, recommended

13/02/2025: I ordered a pizza and a tiramisu, they were both excellent, quality ingredients and truly delicious. The staff very friendly and super helpful. The room creates a pleasant atmosphere, I hope to return soon! I recommend it
