13/07/2026: A great spot for breakfast or a coffee break. Prices are really good for the location, and the quality was excellent. Important to know: First, take a table, then order at the counter using the number provided, so your coffee can be brought to you.

21/10/2025: Beautiful location and AMAZING food, but please play ITALIAN MUSIC! 🙂 No one wants to be in Lake Como looking at the beautiful sights and listening to Miley Cyrus! Haha! We stayed at an Airbnb near by and this restaurant was the best thing about the Airbnb!! We went twice. Hope to be back again someday!

15/10/2025: Fabulous family run restaurant in a beautiful setting with stunning views over the lake. This was a 5-7 walk from the hotel where we stayed and was recommended by our hotel receptionist. The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. We had the pistachio pasta and lasagne which was amazing. The caramel panacota was really tasty and the house wine was really good as well. Overall really enjoyed our meal.

29/06/2026: Where the locals go. Likely THE best bakery/pastry shop in Menaggio. No coffee and no place to sit. It's all take away. But so worth it.

20/06/2026: We are visiting from the USA and this is our place to go to get breakfast, you'll be able to order without knowing italian. They pastries are delicious and fresh made daily. 💯 recommend.

20/05/2026: Very good pizza and great quality ingredients. I had the four meats pizza — the taste was really good, especially on the half where the dough was slightly thicker, because everything held together better and the flavor was even nicer. On the thinner side, some ingredients were falling off a bit, but overall the pizza was very tasty. My girlfriend loved the shrimp pizza. The shrimps were fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and there were plenty of toppings. You can really feel the quality of the ingredients. We would gladly come back 🙂

03/05/2026: We had reserved a table at this restaurant for our last evening at Lake Como. Our expectations were quite high due to the good reviews. We got a table right by the water. When we opened the menu, the prices initially shocked us. Yes, Lake Como is expensive, and we're happy to spend more for good food... but paying almost €30 for a 'normal' pasta dish was still a bit much. Well, since it was our last evening, we ordered what we fancied anyway (one pasta with pistachio cream and prawns, one fish with a side dish). Both were €30 each, plus a side salad (which consisted of just a few green leaves, some other carelessly arranged bits and pieces, and far too much dressing made from plain yogurt). This salad then cost an unbelievable €14. A bottle of wine started at €30 (online price €12). To our disappointment, the food didn't really live up to expectations. My pasta tasted of absolutely nothing. It was so bland that any homemade sauce would taste better. There were a maximum of three prawns on the plate, cut into tiny pieces. My partner's fish was lukewarm. For the price, we simply expected more. The only time anyone asked if everything was okay was at the very end, when the table was finally cleared. I said "well," and poof, the plates were gone, and no one asked any further questions. The female server (with short hair on the sides) was very friendly. The male server (with a larger belly), on the other hand, seemed forcedly friendly and was rather unpleasant. We definitely wouldn't come back. Yes, the view was nice, but you can get that almost anywhere on Lake Como.

18/05/2026: We stayed at the family run Albergo Il Vapore for 2 nights and the hospitality we had from Pinuccia and Simone was second to none. The evening dinner at the restaurant we had was so good we ate there 2 nights in a row! The fresh pasta and fish dishes were deliciously prepared by the chef Simone.... make sure to book if eating here as its very popular! Highly recommended!

15/05/2026: Had the absolute best lunch here with my wife during our time in Lake Como. Albergo Il Vapore is everything you hope to find in Italy — authentic, family-run, warm, and completely unforgettable. The setting in the heart of Menaggio is beautiful, but it’s the atmosphere and homemade food that truly make this place special. Every dish tasted like it was made with genuine care and tradition. Fresh pasta, incredible flavors, simple ingredients done perfectly — the kind of meal that reminds you why Italian cuisine is loved around the world. You can feel the passion in every plate. The service was equally wonderful: welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely kind, making us feel more like guests in someone’s home than customers at a restaurant. What we loved most was how authentic everything felt. No tourist traps, no unnecessary fuss — just outstanding food, a charming atmosphere, and a memorable experience shared together. Easily one of the highlights of our entire trip and without question the best lunch we had in Italy. If you’re visiting Menaggio, do yourself a favor and eat here. We’ll be talking about this meal for a very long time.

12/07/2026: My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at the Del Porto. The atmosphere was simply beautiful- right on the lake. The service was excellent and, we learned, the restaurant was just taken over by new ownership /management recently. Every dish was delicious. We had two pasta starters as well as the lakefish and monkfish main courses. I highly recommend a visit!

12/07/2026: Wonderful restaurant with a terrace offering direct lake access. Despite being a hotel restaurant, the food is classy and refined. Highly recommended for both the menu and the location!!!

07/04/2026: Excellent hotel in a quiet and convenient location for Lake Como and Lake Lugano. Clean and comfortable room. A generous and varied breakfast. Convenient parking space very close to the rooms.

07/04/2026: My wife, daughter, and I stayed three nights at this hotel, and everything went very well. The welcome was warm, and the staff were always attentive. The room was clean, comfortable, and suitable for a family. The atmosphere is pleasant and calm, ideal for a relaxing holiday. We particularly appreciated the quality of service and the attention to detail. We leave with wonderful memories and highly recommend this hotel. We will gladly return!

21/01/2026: Good morning, I'd like to report the barista's lack of hygiene. I stopped for breakfast, ordering a coffee and a croissant, when I noticed that the barista picked up the croissant with her hands without using the proper utensils (tongs or napkins), and that she was touching the money, without washing her hands between orders, despite having a Band-Aid on her finger. I also notified a local police officer who was outside on duty for the schools.

30/12/2025: Went there after the lunch time to get something warm to fight the cold weather and, altho the place was essentially empty apart from owners, they welcomed us in where most other places were closed. Two quite big sheltered areas with tables, and nice warm drinks/snacks available at very affordable prices.
