14/05/2026: Overall, a nice place. The owner at the entrance is friendly. Service is fast, with the waiter taking orders while he's too focused on his own. He orders and goes... what a shame... like a number that consumes and goes... The quality isn't great, nor is it praiseworthy... overall, it's sufficient, but the quality of the fish didn't convince me. Is it soft fried? Soft batter? Like it was reheated and not made fresh... what a shame.

02/06/2026: We had the absolute pleasure of dining here recently. The food was amazing, the views stunning and the wine delicious. We look forward to visiting again next time we are on that side of the world!

24/05/2026: You arrive on the lakefront of Lake Lugano on the Italian side and can be reached from Como or Switzerland. I recommend going through the Ponte Tresa customs checkpoint from Italy (set your GPS for Ponte Tresa and then for Crotto to avoid a detour). If you're arriving from Switzerland, you'll arrive before Porlezza; from Italy, after Porlezza and the tunnel. The restaurant has two internal parking spaces, going down a short private road towards the lake and also above the road. The lake view from a seat is priceless, and the food is divine. Perch ravioli number one, pike number two, but everything was delicious, even the pistachio cream. Boat access is also available! With a private dock, divine desserts made by Pasticceria Italia in Porlezza. (go here too) We will DEFINITELY be back.

25/05/2026: Strategic location, plenty of convenient parking in a difficult area. Very good coffee and cappuccinos, the best in the area, even with the same coffee supplier. Always very fast service, considering the place is always very busy!

08/05/2026: First time I've stopped in with another person, around 11:30, for a "ape" (lunchtime). We sat near the entrance, at a table for two. When we asked for a second "ape" (lunchtime), they told us to move (exactly) because they had to "prepare the tables for lunch"... but if out of about fifty seats in the entire room, they had prepared a maximum of 10... are you telling us to move out??? Terrible behavior!!!

07/05/2026: Not your average bar, at Circolone you can drink and eat well. The staff is very kind and attentive, and you'll never be alone at your table. The outdoor seating is a real treat, although it's a shame it's so close to the main road, which can be annoying when noisy vehicles pass by. In any case, it's a perfect spot to meet up with biker friends. Prices are in line with the quality of the food served. Always best to book in advance. Highly recommended if you're passing through Olgiate Comasco.

01/06/2026: When you follow a good idea with the skill to execute it well. We found courtesy, a varied à la carte menu with many inviting options, and a good wine list. Dishes were crafted with balance and attention to detail, showcasing the flavors of the different fish, and meticulous attention to presentation. The ambiance is simple but not unenjoyable; you can sense the attention to detail despite the atmosphere of a family restaurant. In short, we'll recommend it to friends and will definitely return, perhaps in a different season to appreciate the differences.

16/05/2026: Truly exceptional pizzeria!! The atmosphere is very refined, elegant, yet welcoming and warm. The staff is attentive, courteous, and friendly, with very fast service. But what really stands out are the numerous pizzas with a lovely crust and thin crust (you can also choose from a variety of doughs!) that showcase the excellent ingredients with sometimes unusual but perfectly executed combinations! The desserts are also fantastic! The prices are in line with the overall quality!!! Highly recommended!!!

02/05/2026: I recently visited Rosa Noir and was blown away. The quality of the pizza is superb; you can tell they put a lot of care into selecting the ingredients and the baking technique. Plus, the staff is incredibly attentive and professional, which really elevates the experience. A perfect 10 for pizza lovers. I'll be back soon!

06/05/2026: Stopped here to just enjoy a couple of drinks and people watch,it's perfect for that. Enjoyed the snacks they brought to the table and decided to order some mussels to share. They were lovely and tasted fresh. The staff were good,though I think a couple were new and after ordering some more drinks,they seemed to have forgotten. No problem though,we asked someone else (i can only assume he was in charge of the staff)who apologised and brought them straight out. Atmosphere was good,lots of people chatting and just watching the world go by. 3 young men across the road were playing their violins too,which just added to the whole vibe..they were great too..would recommend for a couple of drinks,snacks and people watching...not sure about the larger meals as didn't order,but lovely place

05/05/2026: Dear Funiculare Team, For over 35 years we have been your guests and have stayed at your hotel many times. It always felt like coming home when we visited. Unfortunately, this was probably the last time. We used to be the focus as guests, but now it seems to us that only maximizing profits is the priority. The music blares loudly from the speakers, the cozy atmosphere is gone, the staff are energetically trying to solicit new customers as they walk by instead of paying attention to the guests already there, and in our opinion, the food has become rather subpar. And to top it all off, our waiter turned away without a word after we left a 10% tip. The restaurant's location is beautiful, and it has such a long history. It would be wonderful if the management could restore the restaurant to its former glory.

11/06/2026: Rodrigo Ristorante Pizzeria — a place worth coming back to, and we did, twice! From the carbonara to the spaghetti with clams, lasagna, and calamari, every single dish was absolute perfection. The pasta is rich and comforting, the seafood fresh and delicate. The staff made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in, and the views are simply stunning. A complete experience.

03/05/2026: Wide selection of desserts, really good, friendly staff. Sometimes you have to wait a long time to order and pay (an extra person wouldn't hurt). It's a shame there aren't many tables outside.
