If you're passing through Bellano, Gelataio Matto is definitely worth a stop. It's a very well-maintained gelato shop, with a clean and welcoming atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. The gelato is artisanal and instantly recognizable: creamy, well-balanced flavors made with quality ingredients. Both the classics and the more unique and seasonal offerings are excellent. The consistency of the gelato is also highly appreciated, never too heavy or too sugary. The cones are fragrant and the portions are just right. I found the prices to be medium-high (compared to less touristy locations), but they're still in line with both the quality and the location: perfect for a stroll along the lakeside. They accept POS. Highly recommended for both tourists and locals.

The ice cream is incredibly delicious, and they give you huge scoops. The server is such a nice and friendly person. They have a large and varied selection of ice cream. We went there twice! Highly recommended! ☺️

I agree with others that portions are fairly small, or at least mine was. But for 4.5 euros, I got 4 flavours in a waffle cone. The gelato itself was excellent - some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot! The ingredients are noticeably fresh, the texture was perfect. Absolutely worth it if you’re in the area!

Mmm! Fabulous experience! The owner was very welcoming and the ice cream... to die for! Coconut, pistachio, chocolate, bergamot... We even came back a little while later for more lemon... A truly amazing treat! We definitely approve and recommend it, especially with the splendid view of the lake while walking down from the orrido... My little boy loved it, and so did we. Thank you!
