15/02/2026: We went here last night for Valentine's Day. It's a really cute place, the food was really good, and the staff was very kind and friendly. I highly recommend it.

14/02/2026: We dined at this restaurant yesterday, drawn primarily by the stunning location, which unfortunately was the only real highlight of the evening. The food was decidedly disappointing. The dishes were flavorless and completely unbalanced: the polenta arrived lukewarm and tasteless, the carpaccio was full of fennel juices, piled haphazardly on top, also unsalted and with very little balsamic vinegar. The risottos simply tasted like rice and butter, lacking depth or character. Even the perch risotto was little more than rice with butter and parmesan, with the fried fish piled on top, also unsalted and lacking any particular flavor. Overall, the cuisine was bland and poorly prepared. We had already made our disappointment clear after the appetizer, but our feedback was essentially ignored. No one came back to ask how the dinner was going, leaving us with the feeling that there was little attention paid to the customer. It's a shame to find such a tourist-oriented restaurant in a city like Como, where one expects quality and attention to detail, especially considering the beautiful setting.

02/12/2025: Poor food and slow service. Unfortunately, we went there, but it's always worse. The staff doesn't even bother to talk to you. We'll go back to local cuisine; at least we won't have any more stomach aches. I understand that the owners of Rising Sun say that by reporting the restaurant's indecency, they're putting the blame on me, but it's well known that the products aren't sourced from the original area, and Orientals aren't known for cleanliness. They eat dogs, cats, and snakes. What credibility do they have?

The pizza was amazing and everyone was nice and friendly - even though we only speak English. The prices are absolutely fair. The restaurant has a really good atmosphere, I can't wait to go back!

The service didn't feel as service, but honest hospitality, the pizza was heavenly fantastic, and we were told several times to just tell how we would like our pizzas, and it'll be made in that way. If I could, I'd go here every day; I can't wait to be back, it'll be the highlight of our next trip to Italy.
