17/04/2025: We give 5 stars because more is not possible. The meat melts in your mouth. Tasty, marinated and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is intimate and the staff is attentive to their customers, they do not spare a good dose of sympathy. A birthday dinner, I dare say, perfect... Highly recommended!

17/05/2025: We went here for dinner and here is our review: the location and view are amazing with nice views of the lake, villages and mountains. The service was also very good with many friendly servers around. Now the disappointing parts: We each had an appetizer for more than €20 and both were huge disappointments. Especially, the 1 cm thick quiche with duck meat, probably weighing 100 grams! (€23) The main course was a further disappointment with each costing €37 and €35. The fish of the day was simple and maybe 150 grams of meat with an average taste. The tuna filet was so small that we estimate it at around 100 grams while the taste was nothing special - just fried in the pan and a little salt on top. Finally, because we were still hungry, we shared another ridiculously small desert for €13 Euro at an estimated weight of 50 grams. At this point we felt pretty ripped off and were further shocked by the total bill which included €12 for 2 bottles of water and €12 for “coperto” (just sitting down). We would recommend only going there for drinks and pizza - but be aware that a pizza dinner for 2 people will probably set you back €100!

24/04/2025: Despite the delay, it was right to talk about the experience I had in this restaurant, a discovery that deserves to be shared. The location, although not directly overlooking the lake, manages to win you over thanks to a refined and welcoming interior design, capable of creating a warm and refined atmosphere, just like the dining room staff, from the waiters to the manager, capable of making the guest feel at ease from the first moment. The visit - although unique so far - left an indelible mark, so much so that a future second time is certain. The dishes stand out for their quality and presentation, but what truly surprised us was the original welcome, capable of striking deeply with its uniqueness and attention. Applause also goes to the sommelier, who was able to accompany the tasting with wine proposals in perfect harmony with the menu, completing a high-quality gastronomic experience.

20/05/2025: We were on an AmaWaterways land tour to Lake Como and our lunch was on our own so we walked a few meters from the Hilton Lake Como to eat a light lunch. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman and told we could sit and enjoy lunch even though they closed in 15 minutes for their mid-afternoon siesta time. Then the owner, Jacob came over to take our order and make recommendations regarding seasonal vegetables. He was so pleasant, made great recommendations and made our lunch fantastic! We had the spicy pizza and a focaccia sandwich that was amazing. Thanks Jacob for your great personality, kindness and hospitality. I’m sure your father would be proud! 05/04/2025: Armilla is an innovative restaurant in its menus: they are presented very well and "never disappoint" both in terms of quality and concept. We have been there many times and it has always been a confirmation. The opinion of my guests has always, but truly always, been more than positive. More or less everyone has returned and become regular customers. Certainly the success of the place, from the kitchen to the management, is also thanks to the service which is always courteous and never superficial without being intrusive. I think it's really pleasant, with their innovative proposal, to have lunch or dinner at Armilla!

08/06/2025: Villa d' Este offered a remarkable experience throughout. The total ambiance of the hotel and the location - as one would imagine - were stunning. From the overall service, to the amenities, to the opportunities to savor a variety of local cultural experiences -- including memorable moments on Lake Como, I could not imagine a better location to savor the vastness of what this beautiful region has to offer. I very much appreciated the variety of plant-based specialties at the eateries and connections with fellow guests and locals, all while absorbing the exquisite views. Indeed, worthy of multiple revisits. Thank you to the professional team that strove to exceed standards of satisfaction.

07/06/2025: The Michelin Guide recommends visiting Villa d'Este in Cernobbio, but they don't let you in, so it's a big disappointment! Uninteresting!!!

The freshness of the fish and the quality of the wood-fired pizzas are particularly noteworthy. The staff is generally very friendly and attentive. The antipasti di mare and pasta ai ricci di mare are highly recommended. The restaurant is comfortable and well-located, perfect for groups and families. Overall, a safe option in Milan for those looking for good Italian food. The desserts are a bit weak.
