Acquadolce In Carate urio

I went to the Acqua Dolce restaurant on Lake Como for a friend's wedding, and I have to say it was absolutely beautiful. The location is stunning, with a direct view of the lake that makes the atmosphere truly special. The food was fantastic, everything was delicious and carefully prepared, and the service was also top-notch. The waiters were friendly, kind, and always available, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only small point: finding parking isn't easy. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place, especially for important occasions and special events.

We dined at Acquadolce last night. The restaurant is picturesquely situated right on the lake, and the ambiance was tasteful and elegant. We opted for two different tasting menus with accompanying wine pairings. 1. Service The service was attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. The only drawback was that we were served by a total of five different waiters/waitresses, which felt somewhat impersonal and warrants a one-star deduction. 2. Wine The wine pairings for the different menus were very thoughtfully curated, and the sommelier presented the wines informatively. Unfortunately, all the wines were served on ice; both the white and red wines were far too cold and therefore couldn't fully express their aromas and flavors. In this price range, I expect a sommelier to ensure that even the most essential details are properly implemented. 3. Food The amuse-bouches were nice, but unfortunately, they didn't particularly impress us. The menus (Valli and Mare) were technically well-prepared and harmoniously composed. The meat and fish were cooked to perfection, and the plates were attractively presented. In terms of flavor, I would have liked to see a bit more daring from the chef. The jus served with the first and third courses was very subtle, making it difficult to discern the promised aromas. The pasta from the second course was significantly more flavorful. In conclusion, I would like to point out that it is ultimately the details that distinguish good cuisine from mediocrity. There is certainly room for improvement in this area at Restaurant Acquadolce, but that is to be expected given the ambitious pricing.

Right on Lake Como, gorgeous atmosphere, so romantic. Food was amazing, view was amazing, and all the servers and the sommelier Marco were all so friendly. Enjoyed the leisurely pace, a beautiful experience overall. Highly recommend! 10/10

The experience exceeded our (already high) expectations. The lakeside veranda offers a splendid view and a relaxing atmosphere. The service was impeccable, without being pretentious. If there were a sixth star, I would definitely give it to the dishes, with their perfect flavors and textures, and to the wines, unique and never predictable. A few tears for my wallet, but definitely well shed!

Simply amazing, we enjoyed our experience. I can confidently suggest the restaurant for anyone who is in como and looking for a quality dining experience. Will definitly go there again.

For a truly romantic and peaceful experience, surrounded by the magical atmosphere of Lake Como, pampered by our attentive and thoughtful staff, and spoiled by an ambitious menu that blends tradition and innovation, Acquadolce is more than a restaurant, it's a must-see!

This may be the first time I've given a perfect score. What can I say...a magical place.

The food NEVER fails. Always always always a great experience. I would stick to the fish and vegetarian menu next time. This time I substituted one of my lake fish items for a meat one (lamb chops) and it was not "the best" so next time I'll stick to all items in the menu. This time I did lake fish, last time I did vegetarian. Both were lovely. The plastic tenty ceiling bothers me a little but thats just the interior designer in me. The garden is amazing I recommend arriving before reservation to get tea or drinks there before dinner. Their small sweets are all good. I didn't like the hazelnut one but the caramel one was amazing. The service is great. Last time Laura and this time a gentleman that gave us his name but I can't recall (Jonathan maybe?) Made our experience 10x better. I can't wait to be back.
