Crotto Campo In Valsolda

The staff were incredibly friendly, we had to wait a bit for our order to be taken, but it was also very busy. The food was absolutely delicious; we highly recommend the linguine with avocado pesto and tartufo limoncello. It's a bit of a shame there isn't a proper outdoor seating area with such a view, but the interior was very nice too.

Great food, classic Italian and VERY cheap (pizza under 10 euros)

Had a good meal, beef with port sauce. Varied menu with plenty of choice. Pizza, pasta, meat and fish. And a delicious limoncello dessert.

Kudos to the owners for the passion and professionalism that make this restaurant excellent! The menu ranges from pizza to meat and fish, with traditional dishes and a few innovative twists. Fresh, top-quality ingredients! The service is excellent, with cheerfulness and kindness, making even the short wait a pleasant and relaxing experience! Finally, the delicious homemade desserts! I can't wait to return to try new dishes! I highly recommend it.

I'm sorry to have to give such a low rating, but for the express service last night I struggle to give it any higher... for five people, orders were taken after more than 20 minutes... risotto with perch was embarrassing (besides being very very al dente, it had nothing of the real risotto... the calzone was also disappointing, it was undercooked... a real shame... I had returned after a wonderful lunch... I hope I can change my mind... sciatt, tagliatella with mushrooms, platter and pizzoccheri (with the accompanying delay) need to be reviewed... a shame! The restaurant, I point out for the record, was full at 8:20 pm, the first courses and pizza were served at 9:45 pm...

Always a great experience and well worth a visit! Friendly service, delicious food, and fair prices. What more could you want? :)

A historic place where, with its numerous parking lots, you can't help but find a spot. A "quiet" restaurant, not overly decorated or overstuffed with items, just the right amount. You can eat both on the terrace and inside. The menu is simple but effective: the pizzas I had were good, filling, and not too heavy. The desserts, while quite expensive, are good, but could be worth a few euros less (which is understandable in these places, where prices are higher for all cross-border commuters and non-cross-border workers). Be careful with the service; sometimes you need an extra pair of eyes due to too much calm (but if you want to enjoy the evening, no problem; if you're in a hurry, it's best to let the waiters know several times).

A cozy crotto on the hill above San Mamete. Good food, but on the pricier side, especially with the extra cover charge (a peculiar feature of many Italian restaurants). Unfortunately, almost all the seating is inside, which is a bit of a shame in the summer.
