11/12/2025: The restaurant's location isn't great, but it's clean and well-kept, with a refined interior and tables spaced apart. It's well-attended and not too noisy. The dishes? Truly excellent and refined: the sea bass and fresh porcini carpaccio is beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. The wine is very good. The service is impeccable. Overall, I recommend it, but be careful, it's not a cheap place: for two of us, we spent over €100 without exaggerating, and for two, we had two appetizers, one first course, and a generous second course.

11/12/2025: Discovered on a recommendation from someone who lives in the area, I found myself in one of the absolute best restaurants I've ever eaten at. Seafood-focused, it offers original dishes with exceptional quality ingredients! The artichoke with baby octopus among the appetizers is unforgettable! Very extensive wine list The incredibly kind staff, attentive to every need of every table (they were full) always with a smile and great professionalism. The dessert menu is equally impressive, even offering some French varieties. Homemade bread and biscuits. I highly recommend it... It's important to book well in advance. Congratulations 💯

12/04/2025: I can't do without their pizza.. "Exceptional". Even the trio they make with first course and excellent side dish... vast variety of quality desserts.. top croissants.. the only flaw is the lack of numbers in the queue. Anyway highly recommended!!

09/12/2025: We discovered this restaurant almost by chance and were thrilled. The setting is truly unique: we had the pleasure of dining in the tower of an old fortress, in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature, making the experience incredibly evocative and relaxing. The highlight is the food: the food is excellent! We tried both the pasta dishes and the meat dishes, both truly delicious and carefully prepared. The quality of the food is high and the prices are not excessive, making them fair and appropriate for both the service and the unique location.

22/11/2025: We visited Trattoria La Rocca on the way home from fumacino to Umbria. We couldn't have been happier with the food and the service. Very gracious and welcoming staff. But the star of the show was the food; I had tagliatelle with pecorino cream and artichoke. Some of the best pasta I've ever eaten. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. And I wouldn't hesitate to return. And what a charming location...

16/11/2025: The best in Rome We dined two consecutive nights at this true Argentine gem in Rome. From the owners to the staff, they are simply extraordinary. Those familiar with Argentine cuisine (we go often because part of the family lives there) can appreciate the authenticity of the tradition and the top-quality ingredients even more. Special praise to the parilleros y asaderos for their skill in cooking the meat. Considering the quality of the ingredients, the prices are almost too good. A special mention for the best flan de pan I've ever tasted. We'll see you again soon!

Be warned: the menu is different from what you see on the website (as are the prices), so you'll find a much more interesting selection in person. The service, however, is a bit slow and not particularly welcoming.

Try the cannelloni with mutton sauce and filling, and the pappardelle with pumpkin, sausage, pecorino, and gorgonzola—extraordinary. The staff was also very friendly, providing perfect service. Rooms right above the trattoria are also available.

02/12/2025: I visited Osteria del Gallo, located on a quiet side street near the center of Rome, and I must say I was immediately struck by the atmosphere. It's one of those places that don't make a fuss, but welcome you with a simple, almost family-like warmth. The atmosphere is intimate, refined without being pretentious, and it immediately gave me the feeling of entering a true Roman osteria. As soon as I sat down, I realized that the cuisine here is taken seriously. I ordered a traditional first course and received a dish that smelled of Rome: just the right portions, intense yet balanced flavors, and nothing overdone. The carbonara was just the right amount of creaminess, and the cacio e pepe had that authentic roughness I always look for. For my second course, I tried the meat, simple but well-cooked, with ingredients that tasted fresh and authentic. The service was one of the most pleasant aspects: the staff were kind, smiling, and very helpful without ever being intrusive. They made me feel at home, as if I were a regular. The timing is also a plus: everything is served slowly, but without any unnerving waits. There are, however, a few things to be aware of. The restaurant isn't large, so reservations are recommended, especially in the evening. Furthermore, as is often the case with downtown trattorias, the prices aren't exactly cheap: they're not excessive, but some items (especially wine and other beverages) can be a bit steep. Despite this, I found the overall quality-price ratio to be fair. I also noticed that some customers complained about the quality fluctuating on certain days: I was fine with that, but I'll point it out. All in all, I ate well at Osteria del Gallo and had a great time. It's a sincere place, with Roman cuisine prepared as it should be and a welcome that makes you want to return. If you're looking for an authentic place, far from the usual tourist restaurants, this is a place I'd happily recommend. --- If you'd like, I can make it shorter, more ironic, or more "poetic."

09/11/2025: A historic restaurant in the historic center, just steps from the Bramante Cloister, the typical setting of an ancient inn. The menu features both traditional meat and fish specialties. The selection of typical Apulian cheeses is a must-try (the owner is a friendly man of Apulian origins, and we also recommend consulting him for wine selection). The menu is varied, featuring excellent, fresh ingredients. Excellent value.

19/12/2025: You used to feel good, but today you do. It took me three days to digest the meatballs. The cacio e pepe ones were inedible. Cacio e pepe was just the name, the sauce was yellow and the taste was sour. Bad, bad. Overpriced.

11/12/2025: A perfect stay, the room was warm and comfortable, and everything was very quiet. We chose half board, and the dinners were superb and the breakfast excellent. The staff was super friendly. We were truly impressed with all the places we visited nearby. We'll definitely be back!
