10/07/2025: At this restaurant, they serve their salads on metal plates, which may be surprising at first, but it doesn't diminish the flavor of the food, which is very delicious. The atmosphere is calm, you can talk without raising your voice, and some waitresses speak Spanish, which makes things easier. When it came to ordering coffee, they got a bit confused, or I didn't express myself well, as we were served by a woman who didn't understand Spanish. Still, a highly recommended restaurant.

A refined environment, smart and polite staff in their ways and in their speech (how beautiful), and dishes that are eaten with the eyes. I took a first course, I was undecided on which to choose and the good waiter had me prepare an off-menu variation to let me taste the knowledge of the two dishes I was undecided on. Honest prices, that do not make you get up from the table scared. TOP 🔝

20/06/2025: Intimate and welcoming place, with a warm and refined atmosphere. The cuisine is a real surprise: refined, creative and full of flavor dishes. I tried a pistachio parmigiana and panzerotti with ricotta, lemon and datterini tomatoes... simply fabulous! And the dessert? A space delight that closes in style an experience to remember! It's worth coming to Marino just for it.

23/05/2025: Attracted by the all you can eat formula with my son we came to this restaurant. A little small, but having booked for 20.00 we were able to choose the table. 02/06/2025: My experience at Il Sanlorenzo in Rome was not just disappointing - it was appalling. I was blatantly overcharged, with several duplicate charges for dishes. I emailed the restaurant twice over four days with no response. When they finally replied, they acknowledged the mistake and agreed to issue a refund, asking for my card details. I promptly complied—but after that? Silence. I followed up a week later. Nothing. It’s now been two weeks since my last message, and I have received no refund, no update, and no explanation. This type of evasive behavior is unacceptable from any restaurant, let alone one that claims to offer a fine dining experience. What’s even more troubling is how this entire situation has felt—dismissive and indifferent in a way that’s hard to separate from the casual racism often shown toward Asian tourists. In today’s world, this kind of treatment isn’t just unprofessional - it’s pathetic. I’ve since escalated the matter to both the Italian consumer protection board and my bank, but it’s a shame that a restaurant like Il Sanlorenzo would allow such dishonesty and disregard to define their service. In a city saturated with other good restaurants, this one deserves a pass...

17/06/2025: It was not a pleasant surprise. We ask for 4 fried foods and 4 pizzas. The first 2 fried foods arrive: Olives all'ascolana and supplì all on a single plate. Result: the mozzarella drips onto the olives. In fact, beyond the dripping, one should think that maybe the person who was supposed to eat the Olives didn't like mozzarella, or was intolerant. The fact is that it is not done. Let's move on: the waiter arrives and takes away the plates for the appetizers telling us that the pizzas were arriving. We point out to him that the other 2 fried foods are missing, namely the courgette flowers and tell him that it didn't matter and that we would eat the pizza. At this point, I think the owner, begins by saying that they would bring us the fried foods and the pizza right away because otherwise the latter would have gotten cold and that due to possible arrivals of groups, they would have delayed the arrival of the pizzas. small aside: you created the problem, I don't understand why, since I pay, I have to pay for it. However, we are accommodating and tell him that it's fine anyway. And here the best of the best is revealed. The famous pizzas that were arriving, arrive to the 2 people who had eaten the fried food, the other two, miraculously delay the exit and arrive together with the flowers. But the paradox arrives now: we take the two flowers, always on a single plate and they take away that single support. So the flower at 200 degrees in hand and not knowing where to put it, we place it on the pizza that, arrives cold to the point that the mozzarella was not stringing. One last thing always referring to the alleged owner: it is not polite to arrive at the table 5 times (counted) and interrupt the customers, just as it is not polite to take the word away from the boy who served us. It is not polite to use a very loud tone of voice, it is not polite to interrupt the customer's requests. It is not said that a rude tone is okay for all people. A positive note goes to the boy who served us: always with the utmost respect, never out of line. Lastly the food: I don't know why the pizza was dry and cold and the fried food was nothing special. With the utmost respect for your work, I don't think we'll see each other again. De gustibus non est disputandum

14/06/2025: We booked this place through the app because of the good reviews, but were disappointed with the service and atmosphere of this place. At dinner, all the tables were empty and the waiters spent too much time and wanted to talk. We were also disappointed that they insistently wanted to speak Russian with us and asked a lot of questions. We were unable to enjoy the evening in peace. The food was delicious, but the prices were very high, you can find places nearby that will be much tastier, more atmospheric and cheaper. They say that they have exclusive and "cheap" wines. The cheapest wine costs 30 euros, and exactly the same in the center in a restaurant cost 20. The place was disappointing. I do not recommend it

29/06/2025: I had dinner with my partner on Friday night, the welcome was professional and pleasant. Although the restaurant offers mostly meat, we wanted to try their fish proposal. Abundant and well presented dishes. I tried the spaghetti with lobster, they were spectacular and accompanied with a good wine they really satisfied me. The homemade desserts ended the dinner in style. Normal price. We will definitely be back to try the meat menu too.

Also, the staff was extremely kind to us, and we are really grateful for that. If one day we have the opportunity to return to Italy, we will definitely come to visit you again. 05/07/2025: Key takeaway- Always check your bill in Rome!!! Food was better than average Space was clean and nice Servers were polite and kind Service is a tad slow - mostly due to understaffing - the servers had to work non stop and tables are still not cleaned a while after other guests have left However - the thing we were most upset about is the fruit charges that we did not order on the bill 2x4 =12?. We ordered 2 serving of water an additional bottle to go home but … if the line item is for the water instead of fruits… that means we paid 20EUR plus taxes just for water 😂
