01/10/2025: You will understand that I passed by years ago... I was satisfied with everything. If I were to pass through the area I would stop again with great pleasure. Comfortable, simple, suggestive atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff, practical service, traditional dishes with a touch of renewal. Fair price. Excellent quality.

19/09/2025: We came here for a dinner unlike any other! We had the trio of dips (hummus, baba ganoush, and beetroot dip) with pita bread, falafel, and rice-filled grape leaf rolls, followed by moussaka with rice and falafel flatbread. To finish, we tried the baklava. Overall, we liked everything; I would have preferred the moussaka to be a little spicier, but it was still very good. I really enjoyed the falafel and the dips, and the baklava was among the best I've had in Rome. A little more expensive than average, but that's worth considering the social commitment and the quality of the ingredients. The staff were very kind, helpful, and welcoming; we had a really good time.

03/09/2025: A must-visit place. The food is excellent and truly beautifully presented, both aesthetically and through the staff's explanations. I had the pleasure of meeting a woman (whose name, unfortunately, I don't remember) who welcomed my girlfriend and I and kept us company, talking about the dishes and our experiences. I highly recommend the place. The staff are friendly, polite, and incredibly enthusiastic about their work. Furthermore, most importantly, they support refugees in need of food and shelter.

10/12/2025: Villa Verde, with its exceptionally high-quality food and, equally importantly, its friendly and professional welcome, is an experience that turns the clock back, allowing you to rediscover a comforting authenticity, for the palate and the soul, of times gone by. I will return, as always, to eat wonderfully and feel welcomed in a friendly embrace.

29/11/2025: Do you want to eat and be moved with every bite? Well then you have to try this restaurant. It's not an inn, it hasn't been recently renovated, but despite the photos I saw before going, it was a unique sensory and emotional experience. I was born in '76 and I felt like I was going out to lunch with my parents when I was maybe 6 or 7 years old and people were different, when the owner would stop between the tables and ask you what it was like? When even the most demanding jobs were done with heart and not just for the money. The owner said, "I don't work for the money, but for the compliments," and trust me, he gets a lot of them and you can see he's proud of what he does. Generous portions and everything was delicious. We had fresh fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and crispy guanciale, then we ordered grilled sausages and arrosticini. You'll dream about fettuccine like this at night, my friends, and the arrosticini were delicious. Anyway, we saw meat served on stone and some creamy carbonara...mmm. We'll be back for the wonderful culinary experience but also to chat with the owner, who...is truly unique. Many, many compliments.

07/12/2025: A very busy cafe with locals. The food is very good and the service is very fast.

01/12/2025: We stopped here for breakfast near Porta Metronia, attracted by the fact that it was always busy, which we took as a sign of good quality. However, the atmosphere was quite chaotic. The variety of croissants and pastries is wide, but the quality didn't strike me as artisanal. The service is fast, but rather sloppy: despite the order being clear and repeated several times, we were brought products different from those requested, we had to correct the order, and they even forgot to provide water. The staff was friendly, but confused in their management. The cappuccinos weren't hot enough, and the foam wasn't firm. As for the prices, I consider them above average for the quality and service: for two cappuccinos with plant-based milk and two pastries, we spent almost 10 euros. In short: a popular place and convenient for the area, but the quality and attention to detail didn't live up to expectations.

12/12/2025: Just because they kept bringing water with the wine, it deserved a star 😂, I'm joking of course. The food, location, and staff are excellent. The price is fair, the only downside is the parking.

05/12/2025: We came to the restaurant a few times, both for lunch and dinner, as we were in the neighborhood for many days. The food is very good as well as the service, and there are English menus available and our server spoke good English too. The best dish on the menu is for sure the seafood pasta and it has plenty of seafood, we really recommend!

27/11/2025: If you're looking to sit near Italians and listen to them conversing according to their cultural norms, experiencing the Italian atmosphere in Rome, this is the place. We received excellent service, and they answered our questions about ingredients. I suggest trying to understand them in Italian first; if they don't understand, ask in another language. We ordered two pizzas, two glasses of red wine, and water. The pizzas were delicious. Molto buono. Grazie Mille.

03/12/2025: Terrible service, chaotic atmosphere. Tasteless food and expensive menu. The "gricia coi carciofi" tasted like mush, and they must have worked hard to remove the flavor from the bacon (which was limp and BOILED).

09/12/2025: We had been looking forward to this restaurant in Rome for weeks and even made our reservation well in advance. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the most disappointing dining experience of our entire trip. The first issue came as soon as we arrived: although we had specifically requested an outdoor table, we were told that if we wanted to sit outside, we’d still have to wait in the regular line. Apparently, the reservation “doesn’t apply” to outdoor seating. That was quite surprising and frustrating. Then the service felt very rushed. We ordered several appetizers and our main courses. But just a couple of minutes after the appetizers arrived, the mains were already brought to the table. There was barely space for everything, and we definitely didn’t want to eat both courses at the same time. It all felt like they just wanted to get us through quickly. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn’t convincing either. The mixed appetizer plate with Italian cold cuts and cheese was disappointing — everything was cut very thick, the ham was already dry, and the quality wasn’t what we’re used to in Italy. My carbonara was also underwhelming. A friend of mine had been here last year and absolutely loved it, and even her photos looked completely different. Something must have changed since then. Overall, a real shame. We were so excited about this dinner, but it ended up being the weakest restaurant experience of our stay in Rome.

08/12/2025: One of my favorite places in Rome for authentic Neapolitan-style pizza. I booked in advance and the service was excellent; I highly recommend ordering their pizzas.

His professionalism, care, and efficiency made the entire process seamless and stress-free. At the front desk, David was an absolute standout. As a guest liaison, he could not have been more welcoming, warm, or helpful. He is a true asset to Hotel Locarno, and his kindness and dedication left a lasting impression. I was also delighted to meet Valentina, who was incredibly friendly and also left a wonderful lasting impression. It was wonderful to be able to tell her personally how incredible her team is. She leads with clear passion and it shines through in the service. Stephano took care of all our housekeeping needs with such efficiency, attention to detail, and friendliness. His thoughtful approach ensured that our stay was always comfortable and perfectly looked after. Serena in the restaurant was simply divine and had a wonderful warm and graceful service style, always accompanied by a beautiful smile. The food was absolutely incredible and our accommodation in our deluxe double room was exceptional. Hotel Locarno, thank you for creating such a memorable experience. Your team is extraordinary, and I look forward to returning.
