13/04/2025: We had a wonderful dinner in Hostaria Po enroute from Florence to our agriturisimo in Tuscany. The ragu was honestly the best I've ever had. Highly recommend!

14/04/2025: The best cacio e pepe I have eaten in these three days in Rome. In other places, closer to the centre, they made it drier, but here it was nice and juicy with all the pecorino melted on the bottom, with an exceptional flavour. The appetizers with cured meats are very simple but not bad. Excellent service, with hospitable and smiling staff. Generous portions and prices significantly lower than average. I recommend it

10/04/2025: Good evening, there were 4 of us and we had pasta alla gricia, carbonara, matriciana, sautéed vegetables, 3 Roman saltimbocca, scallops with lemon, 1 Sicilian cannuolo. Pasta alla gricia felt like eating a piece of salt and I couldn't sleep at night, the carbonara was very liquid... the saltimbocca, scallop and cannuolo were good. As for the prices, they are within the norm and the service was excellent. super

28/03/2025: Dopo il consiglio di un amico abbiamo avuto la curiosità di provare questo ristorante. Location para para a com’era 40 anni fa quando hanno aperto, ma questo mi è sembrato carino: mantenere la memoria non invecchiando, nel senso che il tempo lì dentro si è proprio fermato. Abbiamo ordinato gli antipasti freddi e caldi: pesce freschissimo ma quello che ancora ricordo in modo vivido è il polpo, sia arrostito che affogato…si scioglieva in bocca! Il pomodoro era buonissimo e il pane…beh ce ne volevano un paio di panelle!!! Come primi abbiamo preso spaghetti alle vongole (senza infamia e senza lode), risotto alla crema di scampi e la zuppa di fregola (buonina, ma senza sale…quello che ha disturbato un po’ è stato l’aglio intero lasciato dentro e pezzi grandi di peperoncino di cui non mi ero accorta e che mi hanno cancellato poi ogni tipo di sapore, peccato!). I dolcetti secchi tradizionali buoni. Servizio gentile e simpatico. Potrei tornare per un’altra chance, ma vedremo!

09/04/2025: Ero solita venire in questo locale ormai da anni, l'atmosfera era carina, gli estratti buonissimi, i drink leggerini quasi per bambini ma ok, e si mangiava in modo più che accettabile. Poi sinceramente non so cosa sia successo, era da un anno circa che non venivo, ma è peggiorato sotto ogni aspetto.. non una sola cosa di questa serata è stata decente, mi spiace ma ci sono talmente tanti altri locali nelle vicinanze che a questo punto reputo di gran lunga superiori. Tutti maleducati, tempi di attesa infiniti, il cibo aveva un sapore strano, soprattutto le ricottine e i dolci sapevano di acido e avevano una consistenza dura. I cocktail erano totalmente annacquati e senza cannuccia perché per carità l'ambiente, però se la vuoi te la diamo di carta e la devi pagare. Il caffè senza acqua, perché pure quella la devi pagare, e visto che è stato portato (ma non ordinato) dopo un certo orario, hanno anche aggiunto un supplemento. E i prezzi voglio dire non sono onestissimi. Poi devi prenotare tramite app, girano i topi sotto i tavoli, sedute scomodissime, funghi spenti nonostante il freddo, ma nessuno dei camerieri ci ha rivolto la parola nonostante li stessimo chiamando, sembravano automi che seguivano solo gli ordini delle app, e il locale era mezzo vuoto quindi nemmeno a dire erano oberati di lavoro. Nonostante alla fine l'avessimo presa a ridere, sinceramente non vedo motivo di tornarci vista l'esperienza terribile, e invito chiunque a valutare attentamente se rischiare e andare qui, oppure trovare un'alternativa sempre in zona. Davvero, questo locale è adatto solo agli adolescenti che si devono fare la seratina e postarla sui social..

They should serve gluten-free dishes but they specify that the kitchen is contaminated (gluten-free pasta is there but they cook it in the same water as the one with gluten 😓). The service definitely needs improvement, although nice and helpful, the basics are missing. Without infamy and without praise

30/04/2025: For those who don't read long reviews: don't waste your time here. The food is good, but not good enough to justify how bad the service is and the fact that they tack on a cute little service charge (only for tourists) that is not mentioned anywhere on their menu. We arrived 5min early for our reservation and were looked at, but pointedly ignored, by the waiter. Under busier circumstances, I would empathize, but this was a Tuesday. It wasn't that busy. So, after waiting for nearly 10mins to be seated, we are shown to the only unset table in the outdoor space. Neither my wife or I have ever felt so unwelcome at a restaurant in our lives. The waiter rolled his eyes when we didn't order alcoholic drinks, the food took nearly an hour - cachio e pepe should literally never take that long - and was rude enough that the table next to us leaned over to check in on how we were doing. Come to find out, they also tack on that fun service charge at the end, which, after a bit of googling, we learned that this is something they charge anyone they deem looks like a tourist. Ordinarily, I would have taken issue with it, but in the moment I looked at it as a 15% charge to have the privilege of never speaking to any of them again. I was also told by the waiter that that if I didn't want to wait to pay (another 15min of waiting while he doesnt do his job, hard pass). Having worked in the service industry myself in my teens and 20's, if I had ever treated customers the way I was treated this evening without the egregious missteps on their part, I would have been fired immediately. I don't expect us to be friends, chat, be treated like royalty, etc, just basic human respect. We weren't late, loud, drunk, rude, demanding - any of the many ways that tourists can make themselves unwelcome. There are loads of incredible restaurants where the waitstaff aren't pricks, the food is equally as good, it'll arrive in a timely fashion, and they won't scam you out of an additional 15%. Don't go here, you're doing yourself a disservice if you do.

29/04/2025: Located in Trastevere, Roma sparita offers a tasty traditional menu, excellent starters and home-made first courses, the only criticism is that the cacio e pepe is very good but very salty, but this is a personal taste... the waiter who served us was very nice.

05/04/2025: Hyggelig atmosfære, fantastisk betjening og lækker mad! Vi startede med at dele husets mix af bruscetta, og så fik min søn en pizza og jeg fik ravioli, og til slut fik vi tiramisu. Det hele var virkelig lækkert. Portionerne var ikke overvældende - vi havde ingen problemer med at spise os igennem de tre retter, men var godt mætte bagefter - men det var dejligt at kunne nyde 3 retter uden at bliver alt for proppede. Priserne var fair - og vi bookede bord igennem "the fork" og fik oveni 20% rabat på maden.

30/03/2025: Buena ubicación cerca de Fontana Di Trevi. La comida es muy buena. Carbonara y lasaña fue brillante. El servicio es muy bueno. Si te sientas fuera de la única desventaja es la calle muy concurrida.

01/04/2025: We waited almost an hour for the order, after asking the waiter for information he informed us that the order had not been taken to the kitchen and that he would take care of it immediately. After 5 minutes the same waiter takes my same order to the next table, too bad they were seated a long time after us. We got up, went to pay and no one cared to know why we were leaving, I'd say the service was terrible!

11/03/2025: Cena con un collega. Ennesimo ordine a domicilio. Come sempre prendo un paio di supplì e una pizza. I fritti nulla di che. Gli ingredienti della pizza (prendo una ''marinara'', che costa 6,80 euro !!!) sembrano di buona qualità ma nella pizza c'era troppa salsa, troppo olio e l'impasto risultava un po' cedevole. La cosa più grave è che l'ordine non è arrivato in orario e l'applicazione non è stata aggiornata alla spedizione dello stesso. Pessima comunicazione. Non consigliato !

04/12/2024: La vera pasticceria artigianale di una volta , dai sapori veri , 2 fratelli pasticceri un ottimo rapporto prezzo qualità in una semplice pasticceria di quartiere. Consiglio vivamente di provare il loro millefoglie , i cornetti ( solo mattina presto ) meglio se li prenotate prima , le varie pastarelle , lo zuccotto tipo zuppa inglese gelato . Troverete sicuramente qualcosa di vostro piacere e gusto .

12/11/2024: Excellent pastries of excellent quality. The choice is wide. It can be found from small pastry shops to large ones but also tea pastries. Here they still make damine (famous square sweets) towards the end of the week because it takes three days for the chocolate to set). It's just a shame that we took them and the inside was quite dry, a little dry I'd say as was the jam inside :-(((. We'll try again, maybe it was an exception :-((. Otherwise we'll take the pizzas at least we're sure they're always perfect. For the rest the desserts are good but we have a demanding palate and we find the cream very thick. Not at the level of the "Regoli" cream so to speak. The cream here is very floury... too much dense.
