Honest and authentic Roman cuisine, a little off the beaten tourist track. We received excellent service, the house wine was delicious, and the pasta was divine. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to eat authentic Roman food!

Let me start by saying I'm Italian. I was looking for a NON-TOURISM place in Trastevere... after checking out about a dozen places, I booked here. It's located on a quiet street, and inside you'll find the hospitality of a true Roman host. The dishes are HUGE and delicious. Even the dessert...the portions seem to be for two. Thank you, because I was looking for true Roman hospitality and I found it here. P.S.: my amatriciana was AMAZING. Water: An appetizer, a Sicilian wine, two first courses, a dessert, and a liqueur, all cost just over €50. But then a first course this good and filling is €10. What are we talking about?!?!

The best restaurant we've tried in our five days in Italy. The only downside was not listening to the waiter's recommendations on portion sizes, because we ended up with way too much food and felt terrible having to leave some behind. The carbonara was amazing, and the fish pasta was, honestly, the best I've ever had. But above all, the waiter's service was outstanding, and he offered us an incredible homemade limoncello at the end. Without a doubt, a fantastic experience that we'll remember for a long time.

09/06/2026: As a foodie from Romagna, I really appreciated this typical, family-run restaurant, which is very quaint. There were two of us for lunch, and even though we hadn't booked, we were greeted by the friendly staff. We especially appreciated the expertise and helpfulness of the waiter, Cristiano. We had a mixed antipasto for two—what can I say? Tasty and plentiful, followed by two tonnarelli all'amatriciana—impeccable! So much so, given the generous portions, that we were already full. Another positive note: the house wine is delicious. The ingredients are high-quality, and the dishes are served with a smile. I also found the bill to be absolutely fair. I highly recommend anyone in Marino to go to Fratone.
02/06/2026: EXCELLENT. I'm pregnant and wanted to order pasta carbonara, and when I asked about the egg, the chef came out to explain everything and told me he would make it especially for me. The waiters were fantastic; they brought my husband a glass of their wine to try, and it was delicious. The appetizers we ordered were amazing, the main course was excellent, and the service was even better, without a doubt. A 100% recommended place, truly authentic, and if you're lucky, you can get a seat on the terrace and enjoy an incredible view of the area. If I'm ever back in the area, I won't hesitate to eat at this restaurant again.

09/05/2026: The quality/price ratio isn't great at all, even though the food isn't bad. The ingredients are of good (but not exceptional) quality. It's not a place I'd recommend, however. The prices are too high, but then again, it's hard to "save" money in certain cities. You can't eat in Rome/Milan anymore.
29/04/2026: Excellent location, welcoming and well-maintained, and excellent food. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended
