14/12/2025: I'm delighted to write a review of this restaurant. I'd like to point out that I'm a university professor and a fairly well-known doctor in the capital. I've also written two cookbooks (Antonio Puccetti: Ricette di vita 1 and 2), which have also been very successful. When you write about the King of Carbonara, you obviously run the risk of attracting criticism. In reality, there's no such thing as the best carbonara in Rome, because personal taste, cultural background, local customs, and habits all come into play in judgment. In my opinion, there's a specific concept of cuisine that lies behind the dishes prepared, the value placed on the cooking process, and the significance of crafting a dish. Let's just say that this restaurant and its chef perfectly embody my concept of cuisine, which isn't just the mere execution of dishes in which ingredients are balanced to create a pleasing and enjoyable result for diners. Here, behind the dishes and in long conversations with the chef, I found everything I consider true cuisine made with love and passion, with respect for the ingredients, their authenticity, and their local origins, and with a view to food above all as a cultural event that gives continuity to ancient regional traditions and transmits the values ​​and flavors of traditional regional cuisine to new generations. I remember that Italian cuisine is the only cuisine in the world designated a World Heritage Site. That said, the carbonara, for me, is truly the best I've ever tasted (and I've tasted many): just the right balance between crispiness and creaminess, a measured use of pepper, the fried calamari and shrimp is amazing, perfect... the wine biscuits are unique and absolutely fantastic... So, top-notch cuisine. The staff is made up of young people of various ethnicities, demonstrating that the cuisine can enable and foster the integration process so many talk about. My heartfelt congratulations! A top-notch place where attention is paid to what you eat, not to decorative frills and ornate dishes that, frankly, are a waste of time. This is obviously my humble opinion, although I honestly believe I have some expertise in judging a restaurant...

21/12/2025: We visited the place close to closing time and received a dish that was a bit cold. The food was tasty and the staff were very friendly, but I recommend not serving the dish cold, as it really changes the flavor. It would have been better not to sell it at that point. I highly recommend this place.

20/12/2025: I don't know if they're the best supplis in Rome, but I do know they're the cheapest. It's worth buying them on the way to Piazza Navona from the Vatican. Those little streets are beautiful and have a great selection of restaurants.

20/11/2025: Discovered thanks to a friend who lives in the area, but it could become one of my new favorite pizza spots. Let's start with the incredibly kind and attentive staff, and continue with the fried foods, which are not at all greasy and flavorful. They offer both classic and more daring pizzas, using seasonal ingredients. I ordered a Tyrolean pizza and found it excellent, as was the pumpkin, gorgonzola, and pancetta pizza my friend ordered. The dessert (puff pastry with pears in mulled wine) was the icing on a wonderful dinner with a very reasonable price. I'll definitely be back!

06/12/2025: It's a wonderful place. The crowd is mostly elite. The cocktails are delicious. We tried four different cocktails. I asked for a hot and sour cocktail, and they brought a wonderful one. I forgot the name, I can't write it down 🤷‍♂️ Everyone, from the manager to the staff, was very attentive. When we asked for the bill, we found they had charged us two extra cocktails. When we told them about it, they apologized for their mistake and didn't charge us for the other two cocktails we had. (Even though we insisted they charge us the full bill, they said it was their mistake and the cocktails were their complimentary treat.) I recommend it, you won't regret it.

05/12/2025: Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity or the fortune to experience what I consider one of my favorite Italian cocktail bars, but I wanted to leave a review for their professionalism, dedication, and kindness. After buying practically all their merch, I recently ordered the new menu, asking if it could be autographed by all the staff. Due to a simple misunderstanding, which will cause a small delay—no problem for me, in fact—they wanted to make up for it by sending me another piece of merchandise as a gift: I think it's fair to say that's not for everyone. My chance to go for a drink will come, and who knows, maybe even work one day! Well done, guys, never change! ♥️

01/12/2025: A slice of hell! What a shame, even though the pastry shop is delicious, they can't manage this place. Crowded crowds, no one lines up in order, and friends get their coffee first. A few small numbers would be enough, but no... do you think they do things properly in eastern Rome?

16/12/2025: This is my absolute favorite patisserie in Rome. I've been there a few times and tried a bunch of their small desserts, and honestly, every single one was delicious. Plus, the service was super warm, which is a nice bonus.

15/12/2025: Delicious cornets at a great price. The place is busy, but you can get served without any problems. Highly recommended.

21/11/2025: The beer is a guarantee! I've been there before with friends. The sandwich menu is spectacular and they're really good! The appetizers and fried foods are also worth a look! The desserts are delicious!

10/12/2025: The fish is very good. In the evening, they serve a meat and rice dish worth trying (limited to one per person), but many other dishes that once distinguished the restaurant are no longer available. The only negatives are a few instances where the portions delivered are smaller than those ordered. At lunch, sashimi orders are limited to two each. There's sometimes a lack of communication. In my case, there was only one instance where, after waiting an hour for a dish, I had to ask several times before finding out it was out.

09/11/2025: It's always a pleasure to have a reliable point of reference like this!!!! Lots of dishes, including non-Roman cuisine, just steps from the Vatican. Reservations are practically a must.

08/11/2025: We had some amazing pasta at the front of the table—it was delicious! The service was excellent, and the place was lovely, away from the hustle and bustle. The prices are very reasonable for the area! The pasta was €13, which is a good price for the area. In most places in Italy, they charge a €2 per person service charge.

06/12/2025: We tried a few appetizers, a selection of first courses, and dessert: everything was truly excellent. The service was informal but friendly and helpful.

01/10/2025: Very good pizzas: well-made dough and quality ingredients. The only complaint is that they could be a little more generous with the toppings. The sausage pizza, for example, was a bit sparse.

09/11/2025: Tiny portions for non-Italian speakers/ tourists. Rude and discriminating server. The store wasn’t busy and I was in line the whole time but when it was my turn, the server asked the whole store who’s first. She would have probably skipped me if other customers weren’t telling her I was there first. Gelato tasted like stored bought ice cream.
