Excellent local spot. The food is good, generous, and inexpensive. The menu is varied, and the servers are very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is located on a small square next to a park, so the atmosphere is also lovely.

Visiting from UK, and the food and staff are amazing. The owner really looked after us and made us welcome. We visited again the following night and it was perfect.

Located in a charming little square in the heart of Garbatella. A good glass of wine and excellent porchettato pork. The carbonara is good and plentiful. Perhaps lacking a bit of the kick of the guanciale, but still a good one. A place definitely worth trying.

18/05/2026: We arrive before they open, managed to get a table of 4 outdoor walk in without reservation. Outdoor table were quickly filled up. Friendly and knowledgeable service crew explained to us how it works. We got the tasting sample set with €36 4 course. Great portion and pricing that keep us full whole day, great Lazio wine selection too! The only downside the second main course within the tasting menu Braised beef cheek is tough and dry. However, the appetiser + Pepe pasta and the desert are delicious. We got a bottle of 100% Malvasia to pair. They take credit cards.
15/05/2026: Amazing dinner, one of the best we had our entire time in Rome. Highly recommend!

Papa Rex

18/03/2026: This is our favourite place in Rome hands down. We have been coming to Papa Rex since 2018 and we recently went twice in February 2026. The food is incredible and good value. The restaurant is large and spacious and has a nice atmosphere. The servers are amazing. So friendly and professional and look after you so well. Special thanks to Marco and Daniele who looked after us last month. We went as a family of four and a large group of 14 and it was so special both times. Next time I am in Rome I am just eating here every night.
