05/04/2025: I’ve not been very impressed with pizza in Italy UNTIL we had pizza and steak and salad at da Gildo!! Honestly, very good, authentic and high quality. Thoroughly enjoyed the Peroni on draft as well while being immersed in the sights and sounds of trastavere!!!

03/04/2025: We stopped for a little snack at the end of the day rather than a big meal. Fried artichoke was delicious and a little pizza to share matched it very well. I can't remember house white being amazing, but perhaps we were previously spoiled outside Rome. Beautiful deco and a nice experience overall.

25/04/2025: There was constant pressure to order quickly, which made the whole experience stressful. On top of that, they added a hidden service fee and only told us afterward that it was supposedly written on the menu. The bathroom didn’t even have a seat to sit on. Overall, really horrible. Would not recommend.

13/04/2025: Fairytale atmosphere: the lit fireplace, the windows with decorated glass, the stone walls... everything brings to mind the medieval era and makes you feel like you are in another era. But as soon as we move on to the cuisine, the journey moves into the truest Roman tradition: Tonnarelli with cheese and pepper, oxtail, Roman tripe, Jewish artichokes... A triumph of authentic flavors. Everything excellent. And for those who love to accompany good food with a glass of wine, you will certainly not be disappointed here.

Il baccalà mantecato fatto da lei è proprio quello che puoi mangiare a Trieste....ci torneremo sicuramente ed essendo mia moglie Triestina sarà un nostro punto di riferimento culinario. Brava Tamara !

06/04/2025: This is a very nice restaurant with great food and friendly service and ambiance. It is our favorite place in the area so if you can find it you should go. The appetizers and pasta dishes are fresh and delicious! It’s very reasonably priced too!

16/04/2025: The food was inedible the service is so slow I believe our waiter was trying to take care of the entire restaurant. The atmosphere in our little garden table was great. We followed the waiter’s recommendation and the meat was not chewable. Loved the tartar and marinated salmon and the wine but that’s where it ends. Main course was terrible and we waited for ever just to have someone notice we needed something.

13/04/2025: Went with family. I had no booking waited at door while they checked table available even though restaurant half empty 😕 food just ok. Asked for dessert they said they had stopped serving desert even after giving us dessert menu!! Place has notions. Loose them them enjoy life and believe in your customers 👍😁

09/04/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in maniera divina in questo piacevolissimo ristorante riscaldato da un bel camino. Ogni portata, ogni assaggio ci ha deliziato, tutto così semplice, così genuino e così gustoso. Quello che ci è piaciuto non è solo la bontà del cibo, la scelta e la freschezza degli ingredienti, ma anche la passione con cui i piatti vengono preparati e offerti, l'amore con cui il patron parlava delle portate che ci faceva assaggiare, un'esperienza che speriamo di ripetere quanto prima..e dulcis in fundo..un conto di incredibile onestà.

05/04/2025: Ppsto ideal for an outing. Homemade restaurant where you go and eat like in the old days without frills from some chef who then you have to sell a kidney to pay for. Good quality/price ratio, abundant quantity.

23/03/2025: We arrived at 9.15, there were 7 of us, they took our order very calmly after 40 minutes. In addition to the mix-ups in timing and orders, we ordered double hamburgers, we asked the waitress to confirm if the sandwiches were actually double, and she confirmed that they were, only to later discover at the cashier that they had not actually been made double. They made us pay a little less, but mix-ups after mix-ups. Recommended only if you have a lot of time because, despite the mishaps, the food was of quality.

The environment is warm and inviting, with soft lights and furnishings that create the right atmosphere to relax. The staff is always smiling and ready to listen and advise you! The varied and tasty menu offers tasty dishes and sandwiches that pair perfectly with a pint of beer or a good glass of wine. The 60s background music, right for the atmosphere, created a perfect mix between socialization and relaxation. Furthermore, the cleanliness and attention to detail are evident. An ideal place for an evening with friends or even for a moment of tranquility, perhaps enjoying a simple bottle of wine. Highly recommended!
