18/04/2026: I came with my daughter to try the street food at the Testaccio Market, and we stumbled upon Rosa-cibo italino's stall. Marco offered us a porchetta (pork) for a piadina, which was wonderful. It was exquisite. We also tried the porpette romane (meatballs).

Emanuele and his staff are nothing short of exceptional, super kind and above all super available to satisfy our requests and, most importantly, very polite... the food is spectacular, I absolutely recommend it both for events and for lunch or dinner... and then with all the space outside, the children play and have fun... thanks again for everything ♥️

27/04/2026: A fantastic experience for my son's First Communion. I specifically chose the indoor dining room with its modern tables, chairs, and elegant tablecloths, along with the play of light that created a truly atmospheric atmosphere... impeccable service, attentive staff, and delicious, mouth-watering dishes. An excellent selection of wines to pair with the meal, and the restaurant was extremely helpful in setting up the confetti and cake table. What more can I say? I'll definitely be back. Thank you so much for everything. We had a wonderful time and felt truly pampered.

07/05/2026: I’m visiting from Japan, this pasta was truly on another level. It was the best I’ve ever eaten. Every element—the seasoning, the perfectly seared pork, the noodles, and the sauce—was in total harmony. I was honestly sad to see the plate empty! The wine was also superb and complemented the flavors perfectly. I also had artichokes for the first time here, which was a treat. And don’t skip the espresso; unlike the bitter versions I’ve had before in Japan, this one was rich and delicious. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I truly envy the locals who get to enjoy this amazing food all the time! Highly recommended.

Rarely do you find such a perfect balance between the quality of the ingredients and the hospitality of the staff. The undisputed star is the fish, incredibly fresh and treated with sacred respect. Each dish reflects the traditions of the coast but with a touch of contemporary elegance that elevates the flavor without overpowering it. What makes Altavela truly special, however, is the atmosphere. The service is impeccable: fast, discreet, and extremely knowledgeable in recommending off-menu items and wine pairings. But it's the extreme kindness of the entire staff that makes the difference; they make you feel like a guest of honor from the moment you arrive, right up until your coffee, with a warmth and spontaneity that are rare these days. Highly recommended for both a romantic dinner and a special family lunch. I'll definitely be back!

The menu offers traditional and modern dishes, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The prices, in my opinion, are a bit high, even considering the quality of the ingredients. 29/03/2026: We'd heard good things about it, but I expect much more from a restaurant of this kind. We booked a table at 9:00, but they seated us at 9:30. We sat down, freezing, and not even a polite apology for the wait. They brought us the menu, but everything on the menu was missing, so we asked them to order first and tell us what was left and what wasn't. We ordered, still hopeful, and after 10 minutes, the waiter showed up to tell me that my bruschetta with burrata and anchovies wouldn't have burrata because that was also sold out, so they were bringing it to me without it, but it would be complimentary and therefore not included in the bill. Finally, the appetizers arrived, and we realized that the scampi were brought by the number and not by the portion, something no one ever specified. The fish was definitely fresh, and we couldn't comment on that, but they brought us a bowl to hold the clam shells, obviously broken, with complete disinterest from the staff. I pointed this out and were completely ignored. The same thing happened when we asked for the bill, which we asked for about 20 times from all the wait staff, who rushed from table to table, telling us it'll be right there, but in reality, they completely ignored us. It was too crowded, tables pushed together to squeeze as many people as possible, and there was no privacy. Result: the bruschetta without burrata was never deducted from the bill we received 40 minutes after we asked for it, as we were told they would be. Terrible service, terrible welcome, too much confusion, too many tables to attend to, with zero organization. The food was good, but unfortunately not enough. I'm attaching the receipt.

03/04/2026: A really cool place with a soul, hidden away in one of Rome's atmospheric streets. The sandwiches are made on the spot, and the fact that the place is run by a married couple gives it an incredible, authentic Italian atmosphere. A bonus is the great background music, which creates a great atmosphere! The sandwiches are very tasty, although I think they could use a bit more of the main ingredient, like salami. Despite this, I definitely recommend it for a quick, local lunch!

14/12/2025: An evening with friends. A quiet place, perfect for a chat with other diners. The price was right for the evening we had. The game was on the screen, but it didn't overwhelm the atmosphere.
