I almost don’t want to leave this review because places like this are becoming harder and harder to find. But I just have to. Omg. Tucked into one of Rome’s beautiful side streets, Er Pizzicarolo feels like the kind of spot locals hope tourists never discover. Barrel tables spill into the alley, conversations drift through the street, and before I even ordered, I was handed a sample of salami and immediately knew I was in trouble (in the best way). I ordered the Campidoglio and it was phenomenal. The bread had that perfect crackling crust, the cheese was molten and rich, and every ingredient tasted like someone actually cared about where it came from. This wasn’t a sandwich. It was an argument for why Italy takes food more seriously than the rest of us. Grab some drank :-), order whatever sounds good, and enjoy one of the best lunches you’ll have in Rome. The atmosphere, the hospitality, the food, the street itself… everything came together perfectly. If Google allowed ten stars, this place would earn them effortlessly.

I was just walking around the area looking for a place to eat when I came across this restaurant. The beautiful decoration, friendly atmosphere, and warm welcome immediately caught my attention. I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad I did. The food was absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious and prepared with great care. A special thanks to the owner, Nello, as well as Peter and Giorgio, for their kindness and hospitality. They were humble, welcoming, and made me feel at home. The lovely lady on the team was also incredibly friendly and pleasant to talk to. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again!

A truly excellent experience! The platter was generous, varied, and carefully presented. The selection of cured meats and cheeses is top-quality, accompanied by fresh fruit, sauces, and crusty bread that enhance every bite. The well-balanced flavors and fresh ingredients are evident from the first bite. A perfect dish to share, satisfying both taste buds and eyes. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely an experience worth repeating and highly recommended!
