28/06/2025: EXCEPTIONAL!!! Really good dishes, tortelli with butter and sage the best I've ever eaten, tartare with quality meat and very well combined (egg, mustard, capers etc..) Fast service and very kind staff Highly recommended!!!!

27/06/2025: It is recommended that you go as soon as it opens, otherwise you may have to wait for an empty table. The pasta and meat were very good. The panna cotta prepared woth amarena cherries was excellent.

27/06/2025: A small pizzeria with a few tables, also possible to eat outside in the summer. Short menu and quality ingredients, possibility of flatbread pizza, pan or more traditional. Super digestible dough. I asked to compose a vegan variant and they obliged. I recommend booking. I will definitely be back!

30/06/2025: What an experience! The kindest waiters who gave great suggestions and were super hospitable. The kitchen was a true Italian kitchen with a small but impactful menu and some of the best food we have ever eaten!

30/06/2025: We were looking for a place to eat in Modena, and this one won us over after reading the reviews. The food is indeed delicious, homemade and authentic. The lasagna is the best I've ever had.

22/06/2025: We were here for lunch with friends. The atmosphere is rustic but welcoming. The staff is friendly. We had lunch with crescentine (excellent) with cold cuts and cheeses. The boys had: polenta with ragù, polenta with wild boar ragù, tortelloni with ragù, tagliatelle with wild boar. We had the famous sweet erbazzone for dessert 😋 A glass of nice fresh Otello Lambrusco… Super fair price. In short: we had a good time. Well done! Reservation required.

15/06/2025: Excellent restaurant, impeccable service and stratospheric quality of dishes. The environment is very quiet and perfect for families, couples and larger groups. There were 4 of us and we had not booked, they immediately found us a table.

31/05/2025: Mi ci hanno portato dei miei amici che già ci erano stati e me ne avevano parlato bene. Devo dire che il locale mi è molto piaciuto , atmosfera accogliente e non guasta la presenza di un camino che da quello che mi hanno detto in inverno lo accendono. Per quanto riguarda il cibo , menù tradizionale e ottimo e piatti abbondanti e non risicati- Per gli amanti del tortellino, li consiglio vivamente, piccoli e buonissimi e con quelli che mi hanno servito io ci mangiO due volte. Ottimo il gnocco ( so che si dice lo gnocco ) ma da noi rigorosamente si dice il gnocco e pure l'affettato , buone le tigelle e il pollo alla cacciatora. Patate arrosto buone e pure i dolci. Peccato che l'atmOsfera e la quiete sia stata disturbata da un gruppo molto numeroso di turisti, italiani e abbastanza maleducati . Ci saremmo aspettati che il proprietario almeno gli dicesse qualcosa , (penso sarebbe stato il caso) e alcuni avventori se ne sono andati sbuffando erano veramente fastidiosi non si riusciva a parlare e a sentire quello che ci dicevamo. A parte questa cosa abbastanza spiacevole anche il personale è molto gentile. Prezzo non modico ma nella norma

22/06/2025: Really great food and great service. Unbeatable price! I've rarely eaten such good cozze tarantina. The grilled meat was a bit overdone, but we also neglected to request medium-rare. Everything was truly perfect. It was very busy, but the food still arrived very quickly and the portions were very generous. We were thrilled. Even the dog was welcome in the beer garden and had a great time relaxing. We were given a quiet corner table where no one would pass by. I can't think of anything to complain about. Alcoholic drinks, starter and main course, over 500g steak with two side dishes and seafood, about €30 per person. And we really went overboard! I'm considering moving there ;)

14/06/2025: Very nice atmosphere, really good and well presented food, only flaw, there is no air conditioning and the jet of cold water does not solve the problem, really a shame, but very good.

16/06/2025: The reservation was easy and fast on whatsapp. We asked to be on the terrace and so it was. The service is excellent, very kind and attentive staff. The menu offers both meat and vegetarian dishes and everything was really very very good. We will definitely be back!

21/07/2025: It's been years since I've been back to La Fontanina. The owner is the same, very helpful, as is her daughter, the waitress. She's so sweet! What can I say? The traditional food is excellent, but they also serve venison, wild boar, and more. The setting is truly charming.

15/07/2025: Historic traditional restaurant. Warm welcome and delicious homemade food. Tortelli with butter and sage were enormous and truly inviting; gnocco was delicious, light and not greasy; good cured meats; and very good grilled and sliced meats. Tigelle were filled, slightly heavy but good. The price was fair. The waitress and family-run management were very helpful.
