16/05/2026: I didn't stay, but I did eat in the restaurant. Very nice, clean, and modern. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, and the staff is smiling and helpful. The classic appetizer of fried gnocco with Parma ham is a must. Excellent selection of first courses, all strictly homemade. The second courses, cutlets, and homemade desserts are equally excellent. The quality/price ratio is truly competitive. I recommend it.

16/05/2026: We went on a Saturday evening with a group of friends and children. We chose the pizza tour, but it took us over an hour to start eating the pizzas, and the bacon was everywhere, even on a vegetarian one. The taste, I'm sorry to say, was non-existent. It was a terrible mess with children coming from various places scattered around the one we were at, and we spent a lot for having eaten just a few slices of pizza each. €77 for three of us seemed really excessive to me.

28/03/2026: It's worth stopping by, seriously. I was only able to photograph a portion of the windows because on a Saturday morning at 8:00 the place was starting to attract customers, but aside from a few moments of waiting, I have to say that there's truly an embarrassment of choice. If I may offer one piece of advice, I think the window display needs rethinking. With the increasing crowds, you often can't see the selection until you reach the lady who's about to serve you. I find it impractical, and it's a shame that every gem doesn't have a chance to be seen. Whether we're talking about tarts, savory options, or classic brioches. My sister and I had a pan au chocolat and a saccottino (both truly enormous!), with a soy cappuccino and a latte (oat) macchiato. I can't say it was my cheapest breakfast, but the quality ingredients and the effort put in make it feel like an undeniable value for money. I think it was truly a delicious treat.

30/11/2025: A wonderful culinary experience! A touch of sophistication in a welcoming setting, in a great location (away from the city traffic). A 10 for the service, a pleasant surprise! 🎉

23/11/2025: Always a good choice... tonight, double-cooked octopus and tuna tataki, accompanied by a Franciacorta Saten. Highly recommended. Returned today, November 21, and some small flaws arose in the service (the Chateaubriand plate wasn't brought, the bottle of Ripasso wasn't opened to let it breathe, and the dessert knife and fork were requested twice). Tortellini weren't exceptional (a bit lacking in filling and overcooked by a minute). Desserts need revisiting. The rest was good, as usual.

07/05/2026: Always excellent lunch, fresh fish and carefully prepared dishes without being overdone. The best nigiri in all of Modena and its province. A quiet atmosphere and friendly service: one of those places you'll want to return to.

03/05/2026: The fish quality is excellent, and there are fewer options compared to the usual ayce restaurants (though not limited), which allows them to maintain a very high level of quality. The place is small, but this also allows you to eat without the usual hustle and bustle.

27/11/2025: We dined at Calcagno with our family and found the food to be excellent, with attentive and appropriate preparation for our two-year-old, courteous staff, and a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. We were also treated to a delicious entrée and a truly superb digestif (a spoonful of sugar)! The price is a bit high, but given the many positives, it's worth it every now and then.

11/06/2026: Good pizza, well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The added bonus is that they cater to celiacs, which adds to the appeal, as not everyone can afford to share a meal. The atmosphere is beautiful and harmonious. Prices are moderately high.

06/06/2026: I'm celiac and had a gluten-free pizza: sausage. Light dough, tomato, and quality mozzarella. Friendly and helpful staff. Fair price, five stars earned.
