30/10/2025: BEWARE of "too good to go" croissants⚠️ Yesterday, October 29, in the afternoon I purchased a bag for €4.99 (worth €15) and was quite dissatisfied. Besides the drastic change in attitude from the staff when I explained I was there to pick up the bag and not to buy, the variety was practically zero: I received 6 croissants. I have nothing to complain about, however, regarding the packaging and the empty croissants, which I found to be good and of decent quality. However, I find myself having to make a complaint here too, since the two chocolate croissants (two different types of creams, one of which I suspect was egg-based) had a filling so hard and/or acidic that they were inedible. It took me a while to figure out what flavor it was and that it was supposed to be chocolate, and I had to throw them away, even though I was disappointed given the app's anti-food waste policy. I realize fresh products can't be guaranteed, and that's fine, but those weren't even from the day before, or even the day before that... I'm explaining what happened because I'm in the midst of food poisoning and I'm hoping the situation doesn't worsen so I don't have to go to the emergency room. I hope the staff can intervene to prevent more people from getting sick, but in the meantime, I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE PURCHASING TOO GOOD TO GO FROM THIS BAKERY.

13/06/2026: A restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere and welcoming and very kind staff... we ate very well.

10/06/2026: It was really only my first time there, and I have to say I didn't enjoy it very much. The waiter was kind but knew nothing about either the dishes or the wine. The cured meat appetizer, with tigelle, was very good. The duck breast pappardelle was flavorless and dry, while the fresh pappardelle were very good. The Lambrusco Otellino wine was good, and the lemon sorbet was also good.

10/06/2026: A mixed review and, more importantly, a warning for families managing food allergies. We visited with our 10m old baby, who has an egg allergy. We specifically ordered plain pasta without egg - in bianco- for her, and were served a small portion of boiled penne. Unfortunately, she later experienced an allergic reaction. We were informed that, although the pasta itself did not contain egg, it had been cooked in the same water as other pasta varieties that do contain egg. Thankfully, the reaction was mild, but this is something the restaurant should take into consideration when catering to customers with allergies. What surprised us even more was that we were charged €10 for the small portion of plain boiled pasta (when an adult normal portion of pasta is no more than €15). The dishes we ordered for ourselves were good, and we would have considered returning. However, given the allergy issue and the charge for the baby’s pasta, our overall experience was somewhat disappointing.

08/06/2026: We made a reservation for 7pm specifically asking for an outside table, but when we arrived they made us sit downstairs inside, even though the outside area was almost empty. We had dogs with us in a dog carrier cart, so sitting outside would have been much easier and more comfortable. What made the experience worse was that an older man waiter downstairs started making negative comments about us in Italian after seeing the dogs, apparently assuming we wouldn’t understand. Very unprofessional and unpleasant behavior. The food was okay, but honestly nothing special and definitely not worth the attitude. Overall a disappointing experience and not recommended.

16/05/2026: A very well-kept and pleasant restaurant, even in the garden area. The menu isn't overly extensive, but it offers a good selection, allowing you to choose the dishes best suited to your hunger and tastes. The dishes we tried were of good quality, both in terms of ingredients and preparation, and the price was quite reasonable for a place like Bologna, which is very expensive. Overall, very satisfying and highly recommended. UPDATE: Unfortunately, downgrading from 5 stars to 1, because mistakes can happen, but if they're as serious as they were tonight, they deserve an apology. And I won't go into the merits of the mistake, which was extremely serious.

19/04/2026: Excellent food and wine! We decided to do the tasting menu with also the wine and everything was delicious (especially the tortellini, the duck and also the dessert) and the staff was very helpful!

10/06/2026: We went for my son's end-of-year dinner. The atmosphere and service were very good, as was the food, which was served promptly despite the large number of people at the tables. The only thing that made it worth the star reduction, in my opinion, was the cost of the food.

08/06/2026: We ate very well. Excellent service. The waiters and staff were very professional and polite.

18/05/2026: We stayed here overnight with our camper. We arrived around 4 pm and were welcomed openly and very kindly; we also enjoyed a drink on the terrace. We also ate in the restaurant (very tasty), which meant we were allowed to use the parking lot for free! There are 3 power outlets available (also free!). There is also CCTV surveillance of the grounds. Because of the very hospitable people, we gave a little extra, which meant we even got something in return! I wish the entire team the best and keep up the good work! I recommend this place to anyone passing through Italy. PS You can hear the motorway in the background, but it is not bothersome.

04/06/2026: The best burger I've ever eaten, and unfortunately I only tried two from a menu that offered so much choice. The staff was very friendly, and the food was cooked in record time, even though I was there on a Saturday night and it was packed. The atmosphere was fabulous, with a view of the lake. If I ever pass through Rimini again, this restaurant will be a must-stop.

03/06/2026: We returned to "San Giovanni" two years later, and luckily, nothing has changed. The place is welcoming, the staff friendly and helpful, the fresh ravioli excellent, the lamb shoulder cooked at a very delicate temperature, and the pork ribs in delicious BBQ sauce are delicious. We'll be back, hoping things stay the same.

02/06/2026: I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and last night, when we were looking for somewhere to eat, we thought of this one. The girl who served us was incredibly kind, offering us advice and guidance on some typical Colombian dishes (even off-menu ones), so we trusted her. Aside from the long wait, which passed quickly in good company (she had prepared for us), we were completely satisfied with the dishes. Furthermore, having a half-Colombian man among us confirmed that the cuisine is very similar to that of the country. If I could recommend one thing, it would definitely be extra help in the kitchen and a competent and welcoming person to assist the main girl in the dining room to optimize wait times and seat more people. I'll definitely be back!

31/05/2026: I tried the Colombian dish and the mixed fried fish... everything was excellent... the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly. I'll definitely be back to try the fruit cocktails and for special evenings.
