So why "only" three stars?
Here's the reason. We ordered, among other things, three second courses of pasta, and after the strozzapreti (which were also very good), we were served a single portion of tagliatelle (instead of the three half portions included in the second course). So, at first, the server tried to pass off that portion as the remaining portion of the second course "badly plated," and then, by the staff's own admission, it was confirmed that it was their mistake, and so the three half portions of the second course arrived as expected. (In the end, for the record, the mistakenly served course was left over.)
When it came time to settle the bill, the gentleman at the cashier (the same one who helped our table during the second course) didn't say a word or even a word about what had happened. He just added the portion he hadn't ordered (and left over) to the bill, and that was it!
Now, it's not about the eleven euros for the tagliatelle, of course, but at least saying "sorry for what happened" or "coffee on us" would have fixed everything, because workers can make mistakes, absolutely, but certain attentions (or inattentions) towards the customer can ruin a beautiful convivial moment.
