05/02/2026: I stopped by this bar on a weekday morning, drawn by the fact that it's one of the few places in the area that opens early and is convenient for a quick breakfast before starting the day. The overall experience was decent, with some positive aspects and others that I think could be improved. What I liked - Convenient location: The bar is located in a busy area, easy to get to, and has nearby parking. Perfect if you're in a hurry or live in the neighborhood. - Large, bright spaces: The interior is larger than it appears from the outside, with well-spaced tables and a simple yet functional atmosphere. - Good coffee: I had an espresso and found it well-extracted, with a consistent crema and no bitter aftertaste. - Quick service: Despite the crowds, I was served quickly, which I really appreciate when I'm in a rush. What could be improved - A somewhat distant welcome: The staff was polite but not particularly warm. No rudeness, mind you, but a little extra attention to the customer would really make a difference. - Average pastries: I had a cream brioche, which was good but not memorable. I would have liked something fresher or more varied. - Slightly anonymous atmosphere: the place is clean and tidy, but lacks a personal touch that makes it truly distinctive or recognizable compared to other bars in the area. In summary Big Bar is a practical, quick, and reliable place for breakfast or a coffee during the day. I didn't find anything particularly negative, but neither did anything that really set it apart. It's one of those places that "does its job," with no surprises, either positive or negative. If you're looking for a comfortable, no-frills café, it's fine. If you're looking for a more refined experience or a high-quality pastry shop, it might not be the right place.

17/03/2026: A pleasant weekend lunch while visiting Bologna. I chose this place after following recommendations online, and I was very pleased. Unfortunately, it was fully booked, so we had to sit outside in early February, but we accepted anyway because we were curious to try the dishes they served. We had a nest as an appetizer, with pumpkin, leek, and more; it was truly delicious! We then had two different first courses, both very interesting. We also added mixed baked potatoes. Good flavors, friendly service, medium-high prices, but definitely worth a try. I recommend it!

07/01/2026: We chose this restaurant for lunch during a day trip to Parma. It's a quaint restaurant serving traditional Emilian cuisine. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The portions were adequate and not overwhelming, and the dishes were very good, especially the lasagna and the traditional boiled meat platter. The wine list was varied and well-stocked. The prices were commensurate with the quality of the dishes and in keeping with the character of the restaurant. We were satisfied and will definitely return.

09/03/2026: I've been coming to this trattoria for years. Traditional cuisine with time-honored specialties. Green nettle tagliatelle with prosciutto ragù, fried crescentine with cured meats, and, for a few years now, grilled Mora Romagnola beef, raised on site by the owners. Delicious, authentic, and excellent value. A guarantee passed down through three generations.

The owner is fantastic, making you feel like she's known you forever. We had a truly wonderful time and will definitely be back. Thank you all for the great work you do.

21/01/2026: Found this piadina shop by chance in the center of Bologna, in front of a high school. Small but very welcoming. The dough is only whole wheat, but it's truly delicious, as is the filling. The owners are super nice and helpful. A great find, highly recommended! Bravi Bravi

Fortunato, always friendly and smiling, will prepare your piadina before your eyes. This small but welcoming place is popular with tourists and locals alike.

08/03/2026: Ristorante Cattini is located in a hidden green area in the hamlet of l'Orologia in Quattro Castella. The interior dining room is medium-sized and very quaint. The staff is professional and friendly. The menu features a few traditional dishes at reasonable prices for the quantity/quality offered, and there's a wide selection of wines. Their strong point is the variety of boiled and roast meats from the cart, served freshly to each diner. The zuppa inglese is truly delicious. The bathrooms are clean, despite the squat toilet in the women's room, which isn't ideal for everyone. Outside, there's a small play area and a patio with some seating.

27/02/2026: A place that's one of my favorites, where time has stood still for a few years in favor of substance. The first courses are good, and the roasts and boiled meats are expertly cooked. If I ever come back to the area, I'll definitely return.
