02/05/2026: When you're on the highway at lunchtime, you look for a restaurant to avoid the Autogrill sandwich. You leave, find yourself lost in the countryside, and think, "Where am I going?!" But when you arrive and they treat you like an old friend, pamper you with their warmth, serve you delicious dishes and wines to match, you quickly change your mind! It was the tastiest and best-served pit stop I've ever had, and I can't wait to go back! Congratulations to everyone!

21/05/2026: One of the most beautiful restaurants in Malcesine. You sit on a rooftop terrace with sun protection and enjoy pleasant music. The service is very friendly and fast, and the food is incredibly delicious. The prices are still reasonable compared to Italian restaurants in Germany. Highly recommended. However, you should definitely make a reservation. Because once you've been here, you'll want to come back ❤️...

17/05/2026: Bad service, bad food. The waitresses was rude and not nice, the food was ok but not more than that. Don’t order the spaghetti rago cause it was so bad. Do yourself a favour and find other restaurant.

24/07/2026: During our six-day stay in Garda, we visited Caffè Amaro three time. And that says it all. Away from the tourist crowds but still in a great location, this restaurant serves authentic Italian food. The homemade pasta is outstanding and prepared with great care. We especially recommend the Ragù alla Bolognese, and the daily specials are always worth trying. The staff are friendly and attentive. Reservations are recommended, but they kindly found us a table even without one because we arrived early. Excellent value for money, and we even received a complimentary limoncello at the end. A true hidden gem and one of the best places for authentic pasta in Garda!!

21/07/2026: I visited this restaurant at the end of March with my family. I'm a lover of typical local restaurants and trattorias with traditional cuisine. This one perfectly matches my tastes: a family atmosphere, extremely kind and helpful staff, and excellent traditional cuisine. We had a wonderful time, even with two small children. We'll definitely be back.

06/05/2026: Stopped in for a quick bite and the only restaurant open at 6:30pm (have to get use to 7:30 dinners again) after a long day of travel. The staff was very kind, food was great, the pizzas were perfect not filling light and fluffy, unlike the heavy thick pizza we have in America. The meat plate is more than expected but excellent. In house (bulk) wine 🍷 was exactly what we needed after a long day. Expect 2 hours or so to enjoy your meal as they let you enjoy your appetizer before starting pizzas. We came in at 6:30 and since we didn’t have a reservation they let us know they need the table by 8/8:30 for reservations. Cash or card excepted some parking we walked from our lodgings.

26/07/2026: I would have given five stars, but the extra one euro for a pizza box for the pizza I couldn't finish is outrageous, especially after we already paid a five euro cover charge and two additional charges of €3 each for a gluten-free pizza and mussels, which are gluten-free anyway. The service and food were very good.

09/05/2026: Excellent food, definitely recommended, unusual pizzas with fantastic flavor

05/05/2026: Excellent staff, but questionable value I decided to try Saporè Downtown, intrigued by the format and the restaurant's reputation. The most positive aspect was undoubtedly the welcome: the staff was extremely kind and helpful, the true highlight of the evening. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, but I found the table setting to be excessively sparse and rudimentary. This is inconsistent with the €2.50 cover charge, despite the welcome gift of a small sample of bread and olive oil. The menu focuses heavily on pizzas (including their special formats) and few main courses; I missed appetizers or small tastings to start the dinner. As for the classic round pizzas, while I recognize the excellent quality of the ingredients, I didn't find them memorable. The prices (between €14 and €17 for those options) seem excessive, in my opinion, for the overall experience. Finally, the "distance" from the much-hyped Maestro Pizzaiolo is a bit disappointing: after so much emphasis on his research, not seeing him in action takes away some of the magic from the story. An interesting experience worth having once, but I don't think I'll be back.

07/07/2026: The clams and mussels were very good, the pasta was unfortunately a little overcooked, but the flavor was very good, the octopus sauce was good, but unfortunately the octopus itself was perhaps overcooked, and its too soft texture completely detracted from it. The complimentary wine and cicchetto were good. Overall, however, there were too many ups and downs.

30/06/2026: The prior reviews highlighting the delicious, plentiful food, backyard setting, and gracious hospitality were totally accurate. Stepping into this place felt like being invited into someone’s home. The menu is set but you are in good hands. We enjoyed three wonderful first courses, all of which were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor: risotto, gnocchi, and lasagna. The secondi included falling-off-the-bone, savory pork ribs and carpaccio, accompanied by generous side dishes. The dessert was also delicious and the paired drinks plentiful. The food here would compete with any highly rated restaurant in a major city but for a fraction of the price. The chef came out and chatted with us and the server couldn’t have been more accommodating. Worth the trip. We loved our experience and will definitely be back!

31/05/2026: During our vacation in Torri del Benaco, we tried several restaurants – we even went to La Bacchessa twice because it was by far our favorite. The homemade pasta deserves special mention; it's expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. The other dishes were also of very high quality and prepared with great care. On both visits, the staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and very efficient, making us feel completely at ease. For us, La Bacchessa was the best restaurant we visited in Torri del Benaco. If you appreciate delicious, authentic Italian cuisine, homemade pasta, and warm service, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back on our next Lake Garda vacation! 🍝🇮🇹
