08/11/2025: Dinner for two a few years ago: the dishes were sparse, fairly standard, and full of butter and cream (really annoying). The cake (I ordered) was burnt, and they served us two almost transparent slices, keeping the rest for me to pay in full. The atmosphere, while very nice and welcoming, was a bit run-down. Never again.

A special gift, in an equally special place: Il Desco Restaurant. Service with meticulous attention to detail, an elegant yet never overbearing atmosphere, and the cuisine coherently expresses the essence of a Michelin star: authentic and refined flavors, well-balanced harmonies built on top-quality ingredients and a skill that knows how to enhance with restraint and creativity. Kudos to the sommelier, who with professionalism and kindness guided us through a sensory experience "blind": a bottle chosen without knowing the label, which made the tasting a pleasant game of discovery, amidst aromas, sensations, and curiosities revealed only at the end. Thanks to those who made all this possible. More than a dinner: an experience, an emotion, a memory to cherish.

The charming venue embodies the classic American diner style, and the ever-present, helpful, and professional staff make the experience even more enjoyable than the food alone. Now, getting to the food, well, what can I say? The freshness of the ingredients is first seen with the eyes and then tasted with the palate. Simply delicious. The menu offers a wide variety of options, making the experience enjoyable for everyone. I'm always keen to return; any excuse is a good one to enjoy a perfect burger at the Arnold American Diner.

07/11/2025: I returned to this place after many, many years. I remembered it as an intimate setting. The location has two small rooms, a veranda, and, for the warmer months, an outdoor garden. A table with four or five people laughing and talking in slightly raised tones is enough to make it feel a bit noisy. The location itself is elegant, tidy, and clean. The staff is courteous, attentive, and helpful. The wine list is well-stocked and excellently priced. There's no menu to consult, for those who can't see the prices. We opted for a Florentine steak, which comes with cooked vegetables and potatoes. Despite the fact that meat is the restaurant's "calling card," the Florentine steak was served to us very anonymously: we didn't know the actual weight of our piece (it's sold by weight and starts at 1.2 kg), nor the price per hectogram, nor the breed, nor anything about the aging process. It was served on a pre-heated plate. Perhaps a little overcooked. Let's just say I wouldn't go back for the Florentine steak; I'd probably get something else. The final bill was fair. I'd give it an average rating based on what we ate, but overall it was good.

08/12/2025: We spent a truly enjoyable evening at Osteria Tenuta Preella, thanks to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the table right in front of the fireplace. The seafood dinner, which the restaurant specializes in, proved to be an excellent choice: the trio of tartares was fresh and well-balanced in flavor, the freshly caught snapper was perfectly cooked, and the octopus with potatoes was tender and flavorful. The side dishes that rounded out the meal were also delicious, and the desserts rounded out the evening on a delicious note. The service was attentive but never intrusive, with a touch of lightness and friendliness that we greatly appreciated. The owner helped create a family-friendly and genuine atmosphere. In short, a carefully prepared dinner in a pleasant setting: an experience we happily recommend!

25/10/2025: Great drink and food in a lovely location with friendly and polite waiters. The waiting staff were polite and attentive with a lovely smile and the food arrived shortly after ordering. We ordered the house wine which was perfectly nice to drink. The whole meal was reasonably priced for the area and the food was delicious. My only slight criticism was that my duck pasta was a bit too salty for my liking, and my husband agreed that they were maybe a bit heavy handed with the salt. However, the flavours and textures were great. Can highly recommend this place.
