12/07/2025: There was no welcome greeting, waited a few minutes and waved a few times to get attention. We had ice cream and beers here. Ice cream price: small cup with 3 flavours is €8, 4 flavours is €10. Beer 400ml is €7.6.

29/11/2025: ⸻ The owner and his son are very helpful, kind, and friendly, and their commitment is evident. We returned after about 7–8 years of operating under the previous management, with fond memories of the past experience. We noticed some differences compared to then, especially in the attention to detail and the quality of the raw materials. This isn't a criticism, but a constructive suggestion: investing even more in quality could further enhance an already welcoming and worthy business.

12/10/2025: Stopped in for a Nannini, a coffee, and a potpourri plate. Sweets were quite nice, and panpepato was very good. Nice souvenirs like amaretti. The staff weren't too happy; they didn't answer any questions and didn't smile. And it's still off-season, so have fun during the high season.

10/10/2025: Tourist trap warning: I bought my box of ricciarelli for €16.50 at 250g when we found it at Eataly for half price! Very angry.

15/07/2025: Vi fik anbefalet Pienza som udflugtmål. Vi kørte dertil og vi blev ikke skuffet. Super smuk og hyggelig sted og sikke en udsigt. Vi fandt denne lille restaurant og vi blev enig om at her skulle frokosten indtages, der var skygge. Vi valgte to forskellige traditionelle retter, begge vældig gode og velsmagende. Vi valgte en flaske hvidvin til, der var et godt udvalg af vine. Tjeneren denne eftermiddag var meget kompetent og tilstede.

18/01/2026: A historic bar (judging from the black and white photos clearly visible inside) located in one of San Gimignano's most beautiful squares, with a poorly heated outdoor area and a fairly clean shared bathroom. The food was barely adequate; in the land of pici and Vernaccia, a €13 industrial-strength picio cacio e pepe isn't worth it, even considering the portion size, which is as poor as the quality and quantity of the wine. The service was sloppy, with no placemats on the table, and the cutlery in bags thrown away haphazardly. But the icing on the cake was the waitress bringing the cheese bowl, dusting it off for us, and taking it back, and the unpleasant jokes from a man with glasses about my wife being asked to clean the kitchen instead of paying the bill. We're Tuscan, and irony is part of our DNA, but respect for the customer must be a priority; after all, we don't know each other at all... Oh, still water in a half-liter bottle, €2.50. I said it all.

30/12/2025: We arrived in San Gimignano very disappointed by the behavior of the shopkeepers, not all of them, but many... Especially in this bar, where we were treated rudely. A small beer was 4 euros, mulled wine 6 euros, a glass from the paper and 100 ml of wine were really just a drop, so 10 euros. I think it was enough to sit at the table, there were 4 of us, just to drink the drinks... The lady made us get up, not even out of courtesy!!!!!, but because we didn't spend enough to sit down 😨... I have a business and I would never have dreamed of such behavior, also because we are not kids who make a racket, but we are polite people. Mehhhhh......

31/07/2025: I usually try to choose places with a Google rating of 4.5 or higher for dinner because I don't have the time or energy to test the cuisines of touristy places. We came here because it's on the main square and there was space between the tables on the far side. The drinks were good, the atmosphere was good, and we finally decided to go ahead and order. The food was delicious, fresh, and very flavorful. So, despite the Google ratings, we had a great time and it's great that we ended up staying. Our waiter was also very nice and fast (Falco). We left feeling full.

04/01/2026: Abandon all hope, all you who enter: broken air conditioning and a freezing cold environment in the dead of winter with temperatures near freezing, a malfunctioning exhaust hood, resulting in cooking fumes filling the dining room with unbreathable air, canned beans cooked directly in preserving starch, frozen spinach, and mediocre pici made with pancetta instead of guanciale. The dining room staff is incapable of handling all these issues. Furthermore, all our clothes need to be taken to the dry cleaners. Other customers near us got up and left. An experience to forget.

31/08/2025: Decent place, no wait for a table, as only four were occupied. Now, let's talk about the menu: the house wine was poor quality, the potatoes could have been fried for a few more minutes, and they were still raw inside; after five minutes, they were already cold. The "pizzas"... I fear they were pre-made, as they have clear industrial marks and no crust, similar to piadinas. The menu specifies "Fior di latte," but in reality, it tasted like melted cheese. The glasses smelled like wet dog, completely dissatisfied.

11/10/2025: The place is enchanting... but the food is even more so! Heartfelt compliments to Chef Sauro, the way he cooks meat... NOBODY!!! And then, after getting to know him, we can say the same about the person he is: incredibly kind! We'll be back to try other dishes, compliments to Cosimo and the entire staff!

17/09/2025: Everything was very good and of high quality! I had a problem with the pici all'aglione, which were very spicy and wasn't indicated on the menu! But other than that, I have nothing negative to say!

22/03/2026: We came to italy from greece due to a school trip, and weren’t able to find a nice place to eat so far(probably because we don’t know where to search 😂) but this specific bistrot was the best one of the whole trip. The service was amazing and the prices too good for the quality, definitely worth a stop!!!

12/04/2026: Very small portions and an expensive restaurant. Very slow service. We left having paid 40 euros for 2 plates of "pizza" type pasta and a glass of wine (which was good) and without having had our fill. PS Obviously the prices are listed, but the quantity is not listed. It is very annoying to have left a restaurant having paid a lot and not having had our fill. Also your "very kind" response, nice behavior! Since I see that you have received a lot of negative reviews lately, make sure to improve your services and do not attack your customers.
