26/05/2026: I arrive Tuesday at 8:30 PM. I'm in the car and I stop at the open bar where it says pizza, first courses... The counter is empty. The barista tells me: "It's all sold out, there's nothing." But it's better if it's closed then!!!!

06/08/2026: Personally, I found my experience more than decent. It's in the center of Siena, near the piazza, and is full of nightlife and bars. The dishes were just the right amount and of decent quality. Welcoming. We had pici with Tuscan ragù. Pici cacio e pepe. Really good pizza. The Florentine steak was good and well-cooked. The prices are affordable.

05/08/2026: We had a great time, as always. The food was excellent, and the staff were really friendly.

13/08/2026: The food was absolutely not up to par. The cheese platter was very disappointing. The pici with leeks and pancetta tasted like nothing—the pancetta wasn't even on the plate, after all—and the chestnut bites were too dry. On the other hand, we spent way too much.

11/08/2026: What can I say? A unique experience. Let's start with the location: tables spaced 5 centimeters apart, which I think isn't appropriate, both for privacy and for odor control. Red wine, in the land of red wine, served at inaccessible temperatures, must have been around 30 degrees Celsius. Let's move on to the main courses: where Chianina beef is born, you can't offer a tagliata weighing no more than 200 grams for €24 (and I say this as a Tuscan), or a roast potato for €8, which was minuscule in size. The icing on the cake were the Chianina beef morsels with chestnuts, stringy and very hard (probably frozen and defrosted in the microwave). I'm heartened to say (precisely because I care deeply about these places) that we were unlucky only on this occasion, given that out of 7 days and 14 meals, only this one was worthy of these bitter notes.

02/10/2025: We only ate at the restaurant twice. Both times it was delicious; the wild boar fillet and miale (?) with mustard sauce and red pepper is highly recommended. One point of criticism is that the portion sizes differed between the two visits, even though it was the same dish. Full marks because you can speak to the owner, and our concerns were acknowledged and addressed. We'll be back :-)

29/09/2025: I returned after many years for personal reasons. The location is very welcoming. The menu got a nice 7 only because the tagliata was a bit tough but good. The rest, from appetizers to dessert, was largely satisfactory and I don't understand the bad reviews. Prices were reasonable. The owner was very kind.

01/07/2026: My honest opinion here is a place where you can eat more than well, the food is delicious, everything is fresh, I ate pizza with prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella "insanely good" the next day I went back and ate a delicious salad with pecorino walnuts and extremely good bacon seasoned with extra virgin olive oil. It was truly a special experience, the staff is very nice and very promising! I would love to go back to Montepulciano Toscana to enjoy 100% Italian dishes ❤️

28/06/2026: I went here for lunch and chose a large salad from a variety of options, and it was truly excellent. Afterwards, I also had a really good picio! A quiet place with both indoor and outdoor seating, and truly friendly and helpful staff. They also have some desserts, like the chocolate cake, which was delicious! I recommend a leisurely visit and a nice aperitivo with wine or cocktails for all tastes. I'll definitely be back!

18/08/2026: What a marvel...a truly charming place, among the narrow streets of San Gimignano, we tasted two typical dishes...really good...and above all an excellent local pomace!!!

07/08/2026: It's not your typical pizzeria where you sit down, order, and wait for table service: Pizzeria Poppi is the ideal place for those looking for a quick, tasty, and quality meal. We tried their pizzas and focaccias, which were truly excellent: perfect dough, flavorful, and with a wide variety of toppings to choose from. The real specialty, however, is the ciaccino, a typical Sienese product that's absolutely worth trying for its simplicity and deliciousness. The place is primarily designed for a quick meal, so there's not much to say about the ambiance or the traditional restaurant experience, but the welcome was nonetheless very positive: the staff were helpful, friendly, and polite. An excellent choice for a quick break during a visit to Siena, with typical products and authentic flavors.

06/08/2026: The food has gone downhill in quality; the pizza is incredibly salty and inedible. The staff is very rude. The clerk snapped at me, telling me that I should pay cash instead of card, saying, "Great, even tourists pay cash, but you don't." Apparently, I'm not the only one who says the clerk is rude and uses swear words. There are better places just a few steps away that serve 1,000 times better pizza by the slice and have friendlier clerks. The choice is yours.

06/08/2026: Super slow service. More than 1 hour and 30 min waiting for food

21/07/2026: That was surprisingly good. The fish was fresh, and although the rice was a bit too sour from the vinegar, it was still enjoyable. I highly recommend the grilled prawns and the prawn dumplings. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The overall service was quite basic, but still above average. Overall, I’d give this place a solid 3.8 out of 5 stars.

02/08/2025: For the quality of the sliced meat, I would give it 6 stars going to the checkout, but I can't understand how a green salad can cost 9 euros when a sliced meat costs 18. I repeat, the sliced meat deserved 23 euros too... so it would be more correct to then apply €4 for the salad.
