05/03/2026: Unreliable and unprofessional. Avoid.
I booked this hotel months ago for a trail race weekend. Now, just two weeks before my stay, they have cancelled my reservation with no explanation and no alternative.
My entire trip is already paid for—flights, race entry, and transport. Because of the race, everything in the area is now fully booked. They have left me stranded and ruined my plans.
You cannot trust this hotel. They clearly don't care about their customers. Do not book here if you actually need a place to stay.

25/04/2026: Today I ate with a group, and I won't be returning. The service was terrible, the food was very poor quality, you buy wine and they don't give you a wine glass, they just say no, no vinegar cruets either, you have to ask for water three or four times, and if you're lucky they bring it, and you have to pass the plates to everyone else. It's a disgrace on the part of the restaurant and the Holiday Club, the company that organizes the trip.
20/04/2026: The Siena area has always hidden some decent little restaurants. But finding a great atmosphere, excellent food, hospitality, and above all, fair prices is rare, but yesterday at the Malafrasca restaurant, we found it. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

19/04/2026: Two platters and two glasses of wine cost over €50. The platter was paltry, with barely visible pieces of cheese, not to mention the croutons, which were 1/4 of a half slice of bread. Rude staff. I won't return, and I won't recommend it.

09/11/2025: We stopped in with friends one evening after the spa. What a wonderful discovery: excellent pizza, good draft beer, fair prices, friendly staff, and a clean, quiet atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.
01/10/2025: After waiting for 1 hour!!! I got 2 pizza s with a burned black crost. Ans on top of that, crazy prices. I asked to put on extra capers, anchovis and onions on my pizza tonno and suddenly had to pay 16 euros instead of around 10 euros. Rip off.
If you want a good pizzeria in the neighbourhood, go to Il Leccia in Asciano. Marco is a good host and they make great good food for an honest price.

We just got robbed: 1 cappuccino, 1 coffee, and 2 croissants (not good) for the modest sum of €11.80.
After asking for clarification on the price, they said they pay €8,000 in rent and asked me where I'm from... I come from a tourist town like theirs, maybe even better, where the prices are fair.
Places like this are the shame and ruin of honest Italy.
If I were them, I'd be ashamed.
I sincerely hope they use this money of mine to buy medicine.
Dirty place with obviously unprofessional staff.
How sad.

We had ice cream and beers here. Ice cream price: small cup with 3 flavours is €8, 4 flavours is €10. Beer 400ml is €7.6.

29/12/2025: The main course was ossobuco and the meat was hard to cut and chew and full of fat and nerves. When I raised the issue I was invited to choose a different option and I went for carré’ slices, where I found a long black hair. I raised again the issue and they offered me two coffees as symbolic compensation. I would have expected not to be billed for my main course as a minimum. Generally very average level of food and quite pricey. Not recommended.
29/12/2025: Nice restaurant, but overpriced. The food was pretty good, but nothing special. As for the entrees, they weren't bad value, but the tagliata was definitely overpriced for the quantity and quality. The tiramisu was good.

04/05/2026: There were two of us. We were seated inside. We ordered water, a beer, a mixed salad, and a pizza.
After waiting 45 minutes, I asked a waiter, and he said he didn't know what was going on. After an hour, I spoke to another waiter who told me they were very busy. It's incomprehensible that we had to wait an hour for a pizza and a salad. I don't recommend it.
26/04/2026: We stopped for a casual dinner; the atmosphere and view were very nice. Service was average, and the wait was a bit long. ABSOLUTELY AVOID THE MIXED GRILLED MEAT PLATE. €25 for half a sausage, a third of a pork steak, a chicken leg, and two tiny ribs, accompanied by grilled vegetables. Calling it a grilled meat is a joke!

12/10/2025: Stopped in for a Nannini, a coffee, and a potpourri plate. Sweets were quite nice, and panpepato was very good. Nice souvenirs like amaretti. The staff weren't too happy; they didn't answer any questions and didn't smile. And it's still off-season, so have fun during the high season.
10/10/2025: Tourist trap warning: I bought my box of ricciarelli for €16.50 at 250g when we found it at Eataly for half price! Very angry.

The owner and his son are very helpful, kind, and friendly, and their commitment is evident.
We returned after about 7–8 years of operating under the previous management, with fond memories of the past experience.
We noticed some differences compared to then, especially in the attention to detail and the quality of the raw materials.
This isn't a criticism, but a constructive suggestion: investing even more in quality could further enhance an already welcoming and worthy business.
