20/08/2026: Tonight, during dinner with friends, we couldn't even talk because the music was so loud. We were probably unlucky because it was karaoke night. However, that doesn't justify the volume, as some guests might not be interested in karaoke.

13/08/2026: Lovely place!!! They had an open mic night. It was so welcoming and friendly.

07/06/2026: Had a delicious pizza on the terrace; we were able to get a table on Saturday evening without a reservation. Friendly service. Pizza 10.00, good price for a delicious pizza.

19/04/2026: We had an excellent breakfast, with the maritozzo with cream and the diplomat, both truly special. The service was familiar and rustic, courteous and polite. We'll definitely return for the pizza, which is very inviting. In the summer, you can dine out on the outdoor terrace in the back.

31/07/2026: I've worked in the restaurant business and still do, so I know how it works. I understand the frustration and difficulty of such a job, but anyone who comes in from outside doesn't feel comfortable. Once you sit down and look around, the walls are covered not only with beautiful children's drawings that I appreciated, but also with prohibitions: no queuing in the bathroom, no knocking (because the door doesn't close), no smoking, no reservations, no hurrying to eat, no "we're not a bar," etc. Now I understand it, I repeat, but it almost makes a person feel uncomfortable. Speaking from an owner's point of view, who would ever read all those prohibitions? How much have you improved your workplace, and how much will you have to repeat it anyway? Secondly, the "hot" dishes come from a nearby deli... I don't know, that also makes me question it... why? If you have an idea, a focus on "your platters and sandwiches," which is already beautiful in itself, organize them just for that, put them on display in the window, show how you make a sandwich to perfection rather than serving pre-cooked and pre-seasoned pasta heated in the microwave... the way I am, I would avoid it, also because you have a lot to focus on... the service was wonderful, the people welcoming and kind. I was very disappointed also because the crostini were fresh and well-made, it is clear that what you do is with respect for the raw materials... I would rethink the style of the place.

13/07/2026: The place is very nicely decorated inside the classics. The lady who worked at the bar is very kind and has a nice approach. The gentleman is a bit egotistical and should know that he is dealing with the tourism industry. The restaurant was completely empty, we took an extra chair because the wife put her purse and the children's bag on the chair so as not to put personal things on the floor. The gentleman came and said that it was not possible to use the chair, something like that.From my point of view it's not ok, especially because the tables are small and you don't have room to put your personal belongings, and on top of that the restaurant was completely empty and on the end she has left things on the floor. If you want to be a good host and make your guests feel good you need to be little more flexible especially in the tourism sector. As for the prices, they are ok, win win. The dishes are simple, which justifies the price.

06/04/2026: Honestly, I've been there for lunch before, but today I was very disappointed. I didn't find any taste or seafood flavor—dishes I make at home, too.

22/02/2026: Stay away, both for the food and the restaurant owner. Lunch on February 22nd, reservation with The Fork, for two people. I had pici with mussels and pecorino cheese; basically, it was pici with cherry tomatoes and pecorino cheese, with a few mussels thrown in, without even the faintest hint of mussels (this dish is usually served plain). My wife had fried fish, which tasted average. The best part was the fried anchovies, which were truly inedible and had a terrible flavor. We pointed this out to the waiter and sent them back. I assure you, they were truly inedible. When paying the bill, I pointed this out to the owner, who even joked about it, and obviously added them to the final bill. A terrible experience. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

12/10/2025: Stopped in for a Nannini, a coffee, and a potpourri plate. Sweets were quite nice, and panpepato was very good. Nice souvenirs like amaretti. The staff weren't too happy; they didn't answer any questions and didn't smile. And it's still off-season, so have fun during the high season.

05/03/2026: Unreliable and unprofessional. Avoid. I booked this hotel months ago for a trail race weekend. Now, just two weeks before my stay, they have cancelled my reservation with no explanation and no alternative. My entire trip is already paid for—flights, race entry, and transport. Because of the race, everything in the area is now fully booked. They have left me stranded and ruined my plans. You cannot trust this hotel. They clearly don't care about their customers. Do not book here if you actually need a place to stay.

12/07/2025: There was no welcome greeting, waited a few minutes and waved a few times to get attention. We had ice cream and beers here. Ice cream price: small cup with 3 flavours is €8, 4 flavours is €10. Beer 400ml is €7.6.

13/05/2026: Yesterday was one of those rare afternoons that reminds you why travel is one of life's greatest gifts. We spent it at the breathtaking Borgo San Felice, nestled in the rolling hills of Chianti, surrounded by some close friends visiting from California. The afternoon began with a Tuscan experience tour that led us through centuries of winemaking history, the earthy perfume of the cellar, and a wine tasting that turned into a masterclass in why this corner of the world is simply unmatched. Glass by glass, the landscape seemed to pour itself into every sip, and we laughed some more 😂🍷 As the sun began to set, we made our way to dinner at Osteria il Grigio, where the Michelin-star team had prepared something truly special: several magnificent bistecca Fiorentina, cooked with the kind of confidence and quiet mastery that only comes from decades of devotion to the craft. The beef was extraordinary charred, perfumed with rosemary, impossibly tender, and paired with a Brunello di Montalcino, it was almost too good to be true. What made the whole day unforgettable, though, wasn't just the wine or the food, it was sharing it all with people you love, laughing across the table for several hours echoing within the ancient stone walls of the borgo. Tuscany has a way of slowing time, and that night it stopped altogether.

08/05/2026: A total disappointment. The village where Osteria il Grigio is located is very beautiful and picturesque, but that wasn't enough to save the "bad" evening I enjoyed with my friends (there were nine of us). We arrived at 8:42 PM, 12 minutes late for our 8:30 PM reservation, but to be fair, we called in the car and let them know we were slightly late. We arrived and saw our table set inside a veranda packed with people, with all the heating on, so much so that it was suffocating. I went to ask the manager to at least turn off the heat lamps above our table, but he gave me a response that was unbecoming of someone who should be looking after the restaurant's best interests and trying to accommodate customers. But let's leave the details aside and get to the food. We had a platter of cured meats and cheeses and a steak, all shared plates at the center of the table. Twenty minutes later, these platters of discounted cured meats and cheeses arrived (with all due respect to discounters). The meat arrived after over an hour, and the manager, instead of worrying about the delay, was sitting comfortably behind me eating and drinking with a table of over twenty people. In any case, we got up at almost 11:00 PM, so two hours and 15 minutes for a mediocre platter and two pieces of meat. I find this unacceptable! And so were the prices: €95 per person, excluding drinks, for a dinner (let's call it that) to forget. Michelin-starred prices, but the quality and ambience are among the worst osterias. I would recommend lowering your expectations, and if you want to reach these numbers, put more kitchen staff in the kitchen. Otherwise, if you can't manage, don't take all those reservations. With what you're charging people, you can afford to book a few fewer tables. An experience to forget. The only positive thing was the wine, Vigorello, which is always good.

06/08/2026: This is one of the nicest experiences we have ever had in a restaurant. As a family of four we decided to visit the restaurant closest to our vacation house, just a few hundred meters away, plus it made a nice walk before and after dinner. The restaurant is not fancy and not much to look at from the outside. But the quality of the pizza, the hospitality and warm lovely people working there made us come back every night during our stay in Campiglia! The owner made us feel so welcome, took time to chat with us and even treated us with a lovely out of menu pasta dish! ❤️ One night we did try one 5 star reviewed pizza restaurant in Colle Val de Elsa near a church/square, but that place failed us totally, just another cash grab for tourists with busy non smiling waitresses and not so tasty pizza.. So, if you want a great tasting pizza or pasta, fantastic service by warm loving waitresses with a smile and get the real feel of how local Italian people enjoy their pizza I strongly recommend this place!

06/06/2026: We were warmly welcomed, even though we arrived late and the restaurant was packed with cyclists. I'd return to Tuscany just for them.
