This farmhouse is ideally located for visiting the Abbey of San Gargano. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The restaurant is excellent, with a Florentine steak to sample. And everything else is second to none.

We stopped at the San Galgano agroturismo during our bike trip, the grand tour of the Val di Merse. It was a truly rejuvenating break thanks to the impeccable service from the staff, the swimming pool (a bit chilly in April, but so refreshing after a day of cycling), and the restaurant offering delicious dishes (special mention to the vegetable side dishes, a welcome change from what you usually find in the region). In short, a stay in an absolutely idyllic setting that delighted us.

If you’re thinking about having your wedding at San Galgano, my biggest piece of advice is simple—book it. We had the most incredible few days, and the whole team were amazing. In the lead-up to the wedding, despite the countless calls and emails, they were always so open and communicative. It made us feel completely looked after and reassured that everything was in hand. They really took on board everything we wanted. We were especially keen to have our pizza party outside the night before, and although they were understandably concerned about the weather, they waited until the last moment before making the call—and it paid off. They moved everything outside and gave us a night we’ll never forget. On the day itself, the team were just fabulous—so warm, attentive, and accommodating. Nothing was ever too much to ask. I’ll forever talk about how special San Galgano was for our wedding, and we’ll always be so grateful we chose to celebrate there. Thank you to the whole team for giving us such incredible memories.

An excellent hotel for a peaceful and relaxing night, ready to visit the nearby Cathedral of San Galgano (or what remains of it after its demolition). The agriturismo is a true oasis of peace surrounded by nature, well-maintained and clean, excellently organized, and with professional reception staff available to answer any questions or requests. The rooms are well-soundproofed and heated. The beds are comfortable, though not particularly large, and the bathrooms are well-equipped. I found nothing to complain about in the accommodation... everything was fine. The breakfast and Wi-Fi were also good.
