Beautiful Slowfood tavern where everything is fresh and certified.
Dishes always fresh and all reflect seasonality.
Typical menu of southern Tuscany, with masterful use of local cured meats, vegetables, pastas and meats.
The wine list is well stocked, with many slow wines.
The desserts that change according to the season are also excellent.
The welcome from the staff and the owner, who is now a great expert chef of the alliance, was very welcome. Fair prices.

Very nice host, very good food... romantic dinner setting.
Prices a little above average.
Coffee pods decanted as if it were kopi Luwak (just kidding😅) paid €3 but no thanks... I totally recommend a commercial coffee and charging €1.50 which is better!

Nice place and courteous service, the fourth star is however "eaten" by the bill which causes unpleasant surprises, as does the water in the service bottle which, although of the right quality, fills 2 glasses at most well and no one knows who bought it it has been bottled... so I'll have a double bill for the water if there are four of us sitting at the table... and the fifth star? It's because of the small portions, which are right for the cuisine offered, not for the prices...

The restaurant is very small but quite cosy.
During the week, we managed to sit down without problems but it would probably always be better to book.
Simple but very well prepared cuisine with quality ingredients.
We ordered some ripassato and a peposo. Everything excellent!
Even the desserts did not disappoint us, on the contrary!
The service was also quick and friendly.
Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

Slow food restaurant. I went on December 8th. Very high quality and refined menu with various Slow food products. Often there are dishes off the menu, in this period there is still truffle. Their cured meats and cheeses are excellent, the lamb is amazing, the ribs in wine are excellent and the best peposo I have ever eaten in my life, the pici are excellent, the desserts are delicious, and a good wine list. Fast friendly service. Place run by husband and wife, a pleasant and affable couple. Truly remarkable value for money. Possibility to buy Slow food products.

Non sono riuscito a trovare un difetto. Tutto benissimo dalla sala alla cucina. Vino ottimo. Prezzo in linea con le aspettative. Mancherebbe un parcheggio, ma non dipende dal ristorante. Vale il viaggio

Siamo arrivati per cena consigliati da persone del posto.locale assolutamente imperdibile.accogliente piacevole cibo squisito.i titolari sono molto socievoli e ricchi di dettagli dei piatti in menu.tiziana molto precisa e si nota grande amore e soddisfazione per il suo lavoro che esegue con molta cura.abbiamo preso un antipasto di salumi eccellente ottime crespelle al pecorino e torta frangipane.presidio slow food perfettamente rispettato aiuta a stare bene e vivere sani.da ripetere

In Italy, there's the very bad habit to charge for th4e couvert, but at least here, you get a glass of a nice local zine served before your mean !

Il Grillo è Buoncantore, nella piazza centrale di Chiusi, è un ristorante del circuito Slow Food. Il proprietario è molto accogliente, ha quel brio tutto toscano. Ci porta delle bollicine, un'occhiata al menù, decidiamo di ordinare un superbo e ricchissimo Piatto dell’Esperienza: salumi e formaggi di piccoli produttori locali, patè di fegatini e molto altro.
A seguire pici al ragù bianco di maremmana: che goduria!
A fine pranzo, segue una lunga e molto interessante conversazione con la chef Tiziana Tacchi, ci racconta la sua filosofia in cucina, alcuni dei prodotti che utilizza, poi mi mostra (e mi racconta nei dettagli come si usa) la cassetta di cottura, realizzata da Vanessa Chioccini con gli avanzi della tosatura e brevettata da Filo&Fibra. Permette una cucina lenta, ecosostenibile, il cibo conserva i profumi e i nutrienti. Insomma, ne sono rimasta affascinata.
Un indirizzo da condividere con gli amici buongustai.
