Bar Ucci In Radda in chianti

I have been frequenting this place for years now and they have never made a mistake, everything is always designed to make the customer find himself in a typically Tuscan environment with good food and great hospitality. I was there on Easter Monday with my family, and once again they confirmed our expectations. The Tuscan crostini and ricciarelli were simply amazing! Well done Paola e&. We will be back soon

Amazing food with natural and genuine ingredients, excellent wine, superlative hospitality, all managed by the owner, a friendly volcano, and by all his staff... We can't wait to reschedule our next holidays to be able to return here to Bar-Ucci. Thanks for pampering us. See you very soon despite the 400km distance from distant Friuli Venezia Giulia. It's been a while since my visit, but I would go back there any time.

As always, it was worth the trip to stop by Paola. Once you've made the switchbacks to Volpaia, a picturesque Tuscan town opens up. Poala welcomes everyone in her warm manner. Drinks and food are delicious and everything invites you to linger longer. Splendid.

We tried several times but on the third try we succeeded! Mrs. Paola was now waiting for us! It was worth it. Mixed bruschetta, selection of pecorino cheese and pici alla carterera all excellent. Chianti reserve wine that accompanied everything with love. Family environment with black and white photos of the family. In short.. WOW!

I knew this was a special place but didn’t know how special! Drove the dark winding roads up to Volpaia to have dinner at Bar-Ucci for our 8 pm Reservation. Seated under the lovely umbrellas, the restaurant was full with about half locals and half English speakers like us. Nestled in the shadow of Castle Volpaia, this restaurant was one of our absolute favorites during our 2 week Italian vacation! My first pici with wild boar, this was the best I had the rest of the time in two weeks!! My husband swears it’s the best lasagna he has ever had! Our meal was rounded out with house wine, caprese salad and dessert. We chatted with one of Volpaia’s 31 residents though our dinner and he was delightful sharing the history of the area. He said the winery at Castle Volpaia was excellent. We’ll have to visit next time! Paola the owner, never stopped serving her customers. She spoke mostly Italian but I hope she understood how much we enjoyed our Italian dining experience! Personable servers who spoke enough English to help us order and make suggestions. Service was excellent. Food was incredible. The vibe at the restaurant was lively and fun. We would come back here in a heartbeat! After dinner we walked around the one road of the tiny village. So serene. Thank you Paola and company!
