Welcoming, intimate, informal but well-kept place.... You feel at ease!! The staff is trained and very friendly. Furthermore, it is located in a truly enchanting place in the historic center of Montepulciano. Local and non-local wine list, carefully selected to satisfy all "budgets". Very generous X2 cutting board.

Bellissimo locale, scelta infinita di vini, cibo ottimo, quantità e prezzo giusti. Il personale è stato davvero gentilissimo: hanno fatto di tutto per accoglierci nel migliore dei modi improvvisando un tavolo all ingresso (sabato a cena, il locale era pieno e non avevamo prenotato). Abbiamo veramente apprezzato tutto, consigliatissimo. P.S.: un particolare ringraziamento alla cameriera che con la sua simpatia ha intrattenuto e distratto numerose volte la nostra figlia di un anno permettendoci di mangiare in totale tranquillità!

Personale molto disponibile e accogliente

Prima di tutto ottima accoglienza: unico posto in cui abbiamo potuto accomodarci senza prenotazione e per il freddo sono riusciti anche a trovarci un tavolo all'interno. Bello l'ambiente con tanti vini e oggetti vintage. Lo staff giovane ma competente che ci ha accompagnato durante la cena, sempre attento al fatto che tutto andasse bene. Molto buone le bruschette miste e il tagliere di vari tipi di pecorino locale, accompagnato da miele e composte. Buoni i primi, ottimo il vino consigliato tra le centinaia di etichette. Montepulciano offers many outstanding dining experiences. One that should not be missed is E Lucevan le Stelle (named from the famous aria from the opera Tosca), not only for the food but also for the stellar location. It sits on a platform on Piazza San Francesco, not far from Piazza Grande. Arrive an hour or so before sunset (reservations on the deck are highly recommended) and watch as the sun descends behind the Tuscan hills, illuminating the glorious countryside. You can even take your drink over to a low wall for even better views. But E Lucevan is also about food. We had 2 entrees, two large salads, water and wine for about 45 Euros. We returned without a reservation and were able to sit at a charming bar along one wall with the same exceptional views. Every visit to Montepulciano should include at least one visit to E Lucevan.
